Trace Priorities

As Firefly is a Break centric DPS character, the majority of her traces and abilities actually do not need to be invested into that much, due to Break Effect Damage not being affected by Skills and Ultimate damage modifiers.

However, Firefly’s Ultimate and Talent are important to her due to their abilities to buff her massively, with her Talent providing her with a massive boost in survivability by increasing her Effect Res and decreasing the damage she takes and her Ultimate providing her with a Break Effect Damage boost and Speed Boost.

Firefly Trace Priorities

Therefore in terms of priorities, Players should prioritize leveling up Firefly’s traces in this order:

Ultimate > Talent > Skill = Normal Attacks.

Bonus Abilities

All three of Firefly’s bonus abilities are crucial for her as a Break Damage DPS, as all of them provide her with massive damage boosts and utility to make her the best Break DPS.

Firefly Bonus Abilities

  • Her 1st Bonus Ability allows her to reduce enemies’ weakness bar even if they don’t have the Fire Weakness.
  • Her 2nd Bonus Ability grants her a Super Break Damage proportional to her Break Effect, up to 50% Super Break Damage when she reached 360% Break effect in Battle
  • Finally, her 3rd Bonus Ability grants her additional Break Effect proportional to her Attack stat with no cap.

Players should get all 3 of her Bonus Ability as soon as possible as they all contribute to turning Firefly into her strongest possible form as a Break Damage DPS.

Best Light Cones for Firefly Builds

Firefly Best in Slot Light Cone is of course, her signature Light Cone - Whereabout Should Dreams Rest - and the Light Cone will be rerun alongside Firefly’s rerun banner in version 2.7

Whereabout Should Dreams Rest (5-star Limited Light Cone)

Whereabout Should Dreams Rest (5-star Limited Light Cone)

Effect: Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 60%. When the wearer deals Break DMG to an enemy target, inflicts Routed on the enemy, lasting for 2 turn(s). Targets afflicted with Routed receive 24.0% increased Break DMG from the wearer, and their SPD is lowered by 20%. Effects of the same type cannot be stacked.

For Alternative Lightcones, players should consider the following options if they can not give Firefly her signature Light Cone:

On the Fall of an Aeon (5-star Free Light Cone)

On the Fall of an Aeon (5-star Free Light Cone)

Effect: When the wearer attacks, increase their ATK by 8% in this battle. This effect can stack up to 4 time(s). After the wearer breaks an enemy's Weakness, increases DMG dealt by 12%, lasting for 2 turn(s).

Relics, Ornaments & Stats

Best Relics

For Firefly’s best set of Relics, players should aim for a 4 piece Iron Calvary Against the Scourge set, which is her best in slot Relic Set by far.

Iron Calvary Against the Scourge

Iron Calvary Against the Scourge

2-Pc: Increases Break Effect by 16%.

4-Pc: If the wearer's Break Effect is 150% or higher, the Break DMG dealt to the enemy target ignores 10% of their DEF. If the wearer's Break Effect is 250% or higher, the Super Break DMG dealt to the enemy target additionally ignores 15% of their DEF.

Best Ornaments

For Ornaments, Firefly’s BiS Ornament set is her signature’s Forge’s Lotus Lantern Wick, which grants her extra Spd Stats and increases her Break Effect Damage against enemies with Fire Weaknesses.

Forge’s Lotus Lantern Wick

2-Pc: Increases the wearer's SPD by 6%. When the wearer hits an enemy target that has Fire Weakness, the wearer's Break Effect increases by 40%, lasting for 1 turn(s).

Recommended Main & Sub Stats

For Main Stats, Players should aim for these main stats on their Relics & Ornaments:

  • Body: Attack%
  • Feet: Speed
  • Planar Sphere: Attack%
  • Link Rope: Break Effect%

Iron Cavalry's Skywalk Greaves SPD

For Sub Stats, Players should aim for these sub stats for all of Firefly’s Relics & Ornaments Pieces:
Break Effect = SPD > Attack% > Attack > All Other Stats

Iron Cavalry's Homing Helm

It is important to note that there are a few stats benchmarks players should hit when building Firefly in order to ensure that she can reach her fullest potential in battle:

stats benchmarks Firefly build

  • Firefly need as much Break Effect as possible (at least 360% Break Effect When She Is In Battle)
  • Firefly need to have decent to high speed in order to take turns ( preferably 145 Spd and above)
  • Firefly wants as much Attack% and Attack stats as possible (as Firefly’s Attack stats will be converted to Break Effect)
  • Firefly DOES NOT NEED CRIT STATS as her skill kit does not revolve around doing critical damage, so you safely ignore these stats.

Best Firefly Teams

As Firefly is the centerpiece in a Break Damage team, her teammates include those that can help boost her Break Damage output while providing her with sustainability.

Best Firefly Teams

Support 1: Ruan Mei

Ruan Mei is Firefly’s best teammate as she grants Firefly everything she needs and more. Having her in the team will significantly boost Firefly’s damage output.

Support 2: Harmony Trailblazer / Fugue

Harmony Trailblazer and Fugue serve the same purpose in a Firefly team as they provide Firefly massive boost in Break Effect and grant her an additional instance of Super Break Damage, allowing Firefly to excel at her job. Fugue should be prioritized over Harmony Trailblaze if both are available.

Sustain: Gallagher / Lingsha

Gallagher and Lingsha both inflict various beneficial Break related debuffs on the enemies and help heal allies when needed, making them the perfect fit for the role of sustain in Break centric teams. Lingsha should be prioritized over Gallagher if both are available.

Conclusion

Version 3.4 brings back Firefly with a rerun banner. If you want to experience one of the game’s strongest DPS characters, now’s the time to get her. She fits perfectly into the powerful Break Damage team that's dominating the meta. Plus, her new JK outfit is also available—another great reason to pick her up.

Unlock powerful teams for just one Firefly

Not to mention, players can redeem Ruan Mei through the Golden Companion Spirit event. With just the F2P Harmony Trailblazer and Gallagher—who synergize perfectly—you can start building a Break Damage-centric team right away.
