Clashfronts is one of the most exciting guild-vs-guild modes in AFK Journey, where strategy, teamwork, and clever deployments decide who dominates the battlefield. With its mix of Vanguard Skirmishes, Melee territory fights, and Combat Trials, success often comes down to building the right team compositions. Whether you’re aiming to climb the guild tiers or simply help your squad secure more tiles, having the best comps ready will give you the edge you need.

Clashfronts Stages Overview
Each Clashfronts round is divided into three stages: Deployment, Preparation, and Battle.
During Deployment, guilds position teams on tiles adjacent to their Guild’s base camp or any tile already occupied by the guild. Players can coordinate and suggest specific deployments to maximize strategic advantage.
During Preparation, all players can view the deployment of all four guilds. No further teams can be deployed, and everyone must wait for the battle to start.
The Battle stage features two main combat types: Vanguard Skirmishes, involving up to five designated Vanguard teams, and Melee Battles, where all other teams fight to capture and control territory.
Team Deployment in Clashfronts
1. How many teams can each player deploy?
Vanguard Players: Each can deploy up to five teams, which participate in both Vanguard Skirmishes and Melee Battles.
Regular Members: Each can deploy three teams per battlefield. The total number of teams a guild can deploy depends on the number of members participating and the number of battlefields they control.
2. Can the same hero appear in multiple teams?
No, a hero cannot be deployed in multiple teams. Each hero can only be assigned to one team per battlefield.
3. Can teams be deployed anywhere on the map?
No, guilds can only deploy teams to adjacent tiles to their currently controlled territories. Strategic planning is essential to expand your guild's influence.
Understanding the deployment rules is the first step toward building effective teams. With the limits on team numbers, restrictions on hero duplication, and adjacency-based deployment, strategic planning becomes crucial.
The following section will provide recommended team compositions to maximize your performance in both Vanguard Skirmishes and Melee Battles, helping your guild secure more tiles and earn higher points.
Best F2P Clashfronts Teams
Team 1 |
|||
Ulmus |
|||
Niru |
Shemira |
Eironn |
Daimon |
Team 1 is a crowd-control and sustain core. Ulmus and Eironn lock and displace enemies — Ulmus’s Prowling Roots extends knockdowns while Eironn amplifies immobilize damage and lowers Magic DEF. Shemira provides persistent ghosts and giant shields that burst for AoE, Niru keeps allies alive and supplies energy, and Daimon’s Stitchy returns with shielding and fear to stabilize fights.
Team 2 |
|||
Thoran |
|||
Ludovic |
Bonnie |
Satrana |
Igor |
Team 2 is a bruiser-sustain brawl designed for territory fights. Thoran’s front-line pact soaks damage while Ludovic anchors the backline with an everbloom healing field and explosive healing berries. Bonnie and Satrana deliver high-impact AoE damage and spreading debuffs (Aging / Ignite), while Igor’s tombstone mechanics let him hop the field for repeated AoE strikes and tanky play.
Team 3 |
|||
Damian |
|||
Bryon |
Pandora |
Tasi |
Lily May |
Team 3 centers on control, scaling DPS and utility. Damian supplies burst sustain and an energy-battery toy chariot to keep frontliners alive; Bryon deals steady long-range damage from the back. Pandora’s indestructible box provides recurring debuffs/utility, Tasi hypnotizes and grants huge defensive windows, and Lily May punishes enemy Ultimates and snowballs into a lethal finisher.
Team 4 |
|||
Shakir |
|||
Elijah & Lailah |
Koko |
Lenya |
Smokey & Meerky |
Team 4 is a disruptive mauler comp that punishes single targets and overwhelms flanks. Shakir dives backlines for heavy burst while Elijah & Lailah grant Haste and Stellar Bond resonance to accelerate allies. Koko and Lenya provide supportive follow-up and crowd control, while Smokey & Meerky supply sustained mauler pressure and frontline disruption to finish messy fights.
Team 5 |
|||
Phraesto |
|||
Hugin |
Odie |
Cyran |
Marilee |
Team 5 is a single-target focused lineup. Phraesto and Hugin add ranged pressure and team offensive buffs, while Odie and Marilee excel at concentrated single-target damage for captures or boss bursts. Cyran applies armor/HP-reduction and utility debuffs to amplify the carries, enabling swift collapses on priority objectives and controlled territory captures.

Best P2W Clashfronts Teams
Team 1 |
|||
Ulmus |
|||
Niru |
Shemira |
Eironn |
Daimon |
This is a heavy-CC nuke setup built to let Shemira clean up. Ulmus and Eironn extend and lock down enemy crowd-control windows, giving Shemira time to amass ghosts, trigger her shield and detonate massive AoE damage. Niru’s free early ultimate and sustain accelerate Shemira’s ramp while Daimon soaks hits and panics foes to protect the combo.
Team 2 |
|||
Igor |
|||
Ludovic |
Bonnie |
Satrana |
Athalia |
Attrition-and-control team that punishes sustain-heavy opponents. Ludovic’s everbloom field plus exploding berries keep allies alive and periodically damage enemies while Igor denies enemy healing and plants pressure tombs. Bonnie’s Aging spread amplifies sustained damage, and Satrana/Athalia provide reliable follow-up DPS and utility to convert gradual attrition into decisive kills.
Team 3 |
|||
Shakir |
|||
Elijah & Lailah |
Koko |
|
Smokey & Meerky |
Frontline brawl and chaos comp that excels in skirmishes. Shakir dives and executes priority targets while the twins (Elijah & Lailah) and Baelran supply steady utility and follow-up burst. Koko plus Smokey & Meerky create battlefield disruption — bombs, knockbacks and area threat — forcing enemies apart so Shakir and Baelran can finish fights quickly.
Team 4 |
|||
Phraesto |
|||
|
Kulu |
Lily May |
Thador |
Ultimate-control nuke built around Cryonaia’s domain. Kulu’s bombardments and debris walls shape the map and help trap foes inside Cryonaia’s Eternal Winter, letting her Frost Shield and ice storms obliterate grouped enemies. Phraesto and Thador supply sustain/energy and stat support while Lily May offers utility to secure Cryonaia’s cast windows — timing and position are critical.
Team 5 |
|||
Dunlingr |
|||
Scarlita |
Pandora |
Lyca |
Dionel |
Control-to-sweep composition where Dunlingr’s Order and Scarlita’s defensive kit lock enemy plans and buy time. Pandora’s box (panic projection) pressures energy and debuffs, enabling Lyca’s meteors and Dionel’s Nectar Feast to scale massively. Use Dunlingr to deny enemy ultimates and let Scarlita/Pandora stall while Lyca and Dionel turn stacked buffs into sweeping AoE damage.
Event Structure & Map Deployment of Clashfronts
- Event Structure: Each Clashfronts event contains multiple games; a game is a match between four guilds and is divided into five rounds. Top guilds are promoted at the end of a game.
- Map Deployment: Guilds must be Level 2+ and have at least 10 participating members. Join a guild before the first round’s Deployment stage ends to be included.
Scoring, Tiers, and Promotion
- Scoring: Guild points come from Vanguard Skirmish results, territory occupation (Melee), Combat Trials, and special objectives like Treasure Hamster. Guild ranking at the end of a round (and overall game) determines promotion/demotion.
- Tiers: Guilds progress through tiers: Novice → Adept → Elite → Epic → Legendary → Exalted. Top 2 guilds per game generally promote.
Rewards
- Deployment Reward: Claimable during Deployment stage; scales with how many tiles your guild occupies that round.
- Game Reward: Awarded after the final round of a game based on your guild’s ranking/tier.
- Event Reward: Final payout after all games, based on the highest tier your guild reached during the event.
