Need Ferrium Ore, but every “good” node feels a kilometer away from power? You’re not alone. This Arknights: Endfield Ferrium Ore guide breaks down what the ore gates for equipment crafting, then jumps into location maps with wiring routes so your rigs start working immediately.
What is Ferrium Ore used for?

Ferrium Ore is a natural resource whose real value starts after processing—in raw form it’s basically just input. Your first priority is to run it through a Refining Unit to turn it into the AIC product Ferrium, because that’s what feeds the useful branches: Ferrium Components / Ferrium Bottles / Ferrium Parts / Ferrium Powder (common mid–late crafting nodes for gear and advanced production chains).
In the gear pipeline, Ferrium Components are the key bottleneck because they’re a core ingredient for crafting Operator gear, especially that first real power bump of Blue gear—and many players end up running a Ferrium Component line specifically to kit out their main squad
In other words: Ore → Refining Unit → Ferrium → the specific Ferrium sub-materials your blueprint asks for; check your recipe tree and only refine what you’ll actually spend next, so you don’t clog storage with the wrong intermediate.
How to get Ferrium Ore?

You can mine Ferrium Ore manually by attacking the node, but the “real” method is automation with Electric Mining Rig Mk II. To unlock that rig, research Mining III (bottom of the Resourcing tree in the AIC Plan / Basic AIC Plan III)—other rigs can’t extract Ferrium.
Then: find a Ferrium Ore Mineral Bed, place the Mk II on it, and power it using a Relay Tower + Electric Pylons; once powered, it automatically transports Ore to the Depot until capacity.
Earliest access is typically tied to Originium Science Park progression (story missions), with well-known early nodes around that area; later, more beds appear across Valley IV sub-regions depending on story unlocks.
If your Mk II “does nothing,” it’s almost always missing power or you haven’t finished the story step that enables wiring in that area (e.g., the outpost mission that unlocks power routing there).
Ferrium Ore Mineral Bed Locations & Power Line Guide
If your Ferrium plan keeps dying to “no power / too far / why is this cable red,” this section is your save file. I’ve marked every Ferrium Ore Mineral Bed by region, counted how many beds each spot contains, and shown the easiest Relay Tower placements so you can power the rigs without rebuilding your whole grid.

Conclusion
Once you lock in the best Mineral Bed clusters per region, Ferrium becomes predictable—exactly what you want for consistent gear crafting. Follow the map routes, place Relay Towers cleanly, and refine only what your next upgrades need.
And if you’re trying to stay on pace for upgrades or a tight banner schedule, topping up Endfield on LDShop is a quick way to keep your plan intact without derailing your grind rhythm.
