Release

September 2026

Cosmo's main strength is his ability to create unusual attack angles and make enemy positioning much harder to predict. His Super takes this concept even further by turning one enemy into a magnet for incoming projectiles.

Because Cosmo is still unreleased, his exact stats may change before launch. The information below is based on the latest Brawl Talk reveal and current pre-release data.

How Cosmo's Attack Works

Cosmo's Main Attack, Orbit, fires three projectiles that travel around him in an expanding circular pattern.

The longer the projectiles travel, the farther they spread and the larger they become. That means Cosmo isn't simply a long-range spammer—his damage potential changes depending on how much distance the projectiles have covered.

This creates an unusual rhythm:

  • Close range: Smaller projectiles and easier-to-control attacks.
  • Mid range: The projectiles begin spreading, making them harder to dodge.
  • Long range: Larger projectiles can deal significantly more damage.

The trick is learning where the projectiles will be when they reach your target. Cosmo rewards players who can predict movement instead of relying entirely on auto-aim.

Cosmo's Super: Gravity

Cosmo's Super, Gravity, is what makes him truly different.

He launches a magnet that attaches itself to an enemy Brawler. Once attached, incoming projectiles from Cosmo and his teammates are pulled toward that target.

In simple terms, Cosmo can make it much easier for your team to hit one specific enemy.

This is especially powerful when your team has several ranged Brawlers. Instead of trying to land every shot manually, Cosmo can create a target that effectively attracts incoming fire.

The Super is therefore less about raw burst damage and more about setting up kills. Mark an important enemy, coordinate your attacks, and suddenly escaping from your team becomes much harder.

Best Gadget for Cosmo

Current pre-release data lists two Gadgets for Cosmo: Planetary Repulsion and Telescopic Trap. Their final effects may still change before release.

gadget

Planetary Repulsion

Planetary Repulsion knocks back enemies in a selected area.

This is the safer all-around choice because Cosmo's biggest weakness is being pressured at close range. A well-timed knockback gives him breathing room and can interrupt an enemy trying to dive onto him.

Use it when:

  • An Assassin is closing the distance.
  • You need to protect yourself while holding a lane.
  • An enemy is trying to push your team off an objective.

For general 3v3 play, this Gadget should be the more reliable option if its current pre-release effect remains unchanged.

Telescopic Trap

Telescopic Trap provides vision in its area and prevents enemies from using movement abilities such as dashes, jumps, or teleports for its duration.

This Gadget is much more matchup-dependent, but it can be extremely annoying for mobile Brawlers. If the enemy team relies heavily on diving or mobility, trapping an important area can remove one of their biggest advantages.

Verdict: Planetary Repulsion looks like the safer default, while Telescopic Trap is worth considering against highly mobile compositions.

Best Star Powers for Cosmo

star power

Cosmo's current pre-release Star Powers are Precession and Ammo Attractor.

Precession — Best Overall

Precession increases Cosmo's projectile movement speed.

This makes his Main Attack easier to connect with and gives enemies less time to react to his unusual orbiting projectiles.

It also improves Cosmo's consistency at longer ranges, where controlling the expanding projectiles becomes more important.

If you're still learning Cosmo, Precession is the easiest Star Power to get value from because it directly improves his core attack.

Ammo Attractor — Aggressive Option

Ammo Attractor restores two ammo after Cosmo successfully hits an enemy with his Super.

This gives Cosmo much stronger follow-up potential. Land Gravity on the right target, then immediately use the extra ammunition to pile more damage onto the marked enemy.

It becomes especially interesting when playing with teammates who can capitalize on Cosmo's Super at the same time.

Verdict: Precession is the more consistent choice, while Ammo Attractor has greater snowball potential when you can reliably land your Super and coordinate with your team.

Best Gears for Cosmo

Cosmo's Gear choices should focus on either increasing his damage output or helping him survive when enemies close the gap.

Recommended Gear Setup

Gear

Why It Works

Damage

Helps Cosmo finish weakened enemies and increases his threat during critical fights

Shield

Gives him more survivability when holding a lane or being pressured

Damage + Shield is the safest general-purpose setup. Cosmo wants to stay at range, but he isn't completely safe from assassins or aggressive tanks.

Alternative Gear Options

Speed Gear can be useful on bush-heavy maps where Cosmo needs to reposition quickly.

Gadget Charge Gear becomes more attractive if you rely heavily on Planetary Repulsion or Telescopic Trap.

Vision Gear can help Cosmo control bush-heavy maps and spot enemies before they get close enough to punish him.

Best Game Modes for Cosmo

Knockout — S-Tier

Knockout looks like one of Cosmo's strongest modes. Every elimination matters, and his ability to focus several projectiles onto one target can make a single Super extremely valuable.

Stay behind your teammates, look for weakened enemies, and save Gravity for a target your team can immediately focus.

Recommended Build: Planetary Repulsion + Precession + Damage + Shield

Bounty — S-Tier

Bounty is another natural fit for Cosmo. His ranged pressure lets him control lanes while his Super can help teammates secure important eliminations.

Don't rush forward just because you have your Super. Cosmo gets more value when he stays alive and repeatedly creates opportunities for his team.

Recommended Build: Planetary Repulsion + Precession + Damage + Shield

Gem Grab — A-Tier

Cosmo can work well as a lane controller in Gem Grab. His long-range pressure helps keep enemies away from the gem carrier, while Gravity can punish opponents who try to contest the center.

However, he shouldn't be the Brawler constantly walking into the middle. Let your frontline create space while you provide ranged pressure.

Recommended Build: Planetary Repulsion + Precession + Damage + Shield

Hot Zone — A-Tier

Hot Zone gives Cosmo plenty of opportunities to use Gravity against grouped enemies. If several opponents are fighting around the same objective, pulling your team's projectiles toward one target can quickly turn the fight.

The main challenge is staying alive when enemies collapse on your position.

Recommended Build: Planetary Repulsion + Ammo Attractor + Damage + Shield

Brawl Ball — B-Tier

Cosmo can still contribute in Brawl Ball, especially when his team controls the midfield. However, the mode's close-range fights and constant movement can make it harder for him to maintain the spacing he wants.

Use Gravity to punish enemies near the goal or during grouped defensive situations rather than constantly chasing kills.

Recommended Build: Planetary Repulsion + Precession + Damage + Shield

Cosmo Gameplay Tips

1. Don't Fire at Point-Blank Range

Cosmo's projectiles become more interesting as they travel. Don't treat him like a close-range damage dealer. Keep your distance and give Orbit enough room to expand.

2. Think About Where the Projectile Will Be

Cosmo's attack isn't a traditional straight-line shot. You need to predict where the orbiting projectiles will intersect with an enemy.

Once you understand the timing, his attacks become much easier to land.

3. Save Gravity for Team Fire

Don't automatically throw your Super at the first enemy you see.

Look at your teammates first. If your allies have loaded attacks and a high-value enemy is exposed, that's your moment.

Cosmo's Super becomes much stronger when your whole team can capitalize on it.

4. Mark the Right Target

The enemy with the lowest HP isn't always the best Gravity target.

Sometimes the better target is:

  • The enemy carrying Gems.
  • The Brawler holding the Ball.
  • A key ranged damage dealer.
  • An enemy trapped in an open area.
  • A low-mobility Brawler who can't escape easily.

Your Super is a setup tool, so think about who your team wants to hit, not just who is closest.

5. Don't Let Assassins Get Free Access

Cosmo wants space. Brawlers that can quickly close the gap can make his life miserable.

Keep your escape Gadget available when possible, position near teammates, and avoid pushing too far forward just because you have a full Super.

6. Play Around Your Team

Cosmo becomes much more dangerous with teammates who can consistently fire projectiles.

Before using Gravity, check your team's ammo and positioning. A perfectly timed Super with three teammates ready to attack can be much more valuable than using it alone.

Cosmo's Best Team Style

Cosmo doesn't need to be the team's main damage dealer to be effective. His biggest value comes from amplifying the team's ability to hit priority targets.

He works particularly well alongside ranged Brawlers who can take advantage of Gravity. The ideal setup is simple: Cosmo marks the target, teammates unload their attacks, and the enemy has to deal with several projectiles converging on them.

That makes Cosmo especially appealing for coordinated 3v3 teams.

Is Cosmo Worth Unlocking?

If you enjoy Brawlers with unusual mechanics, Cosmo is definitely worth trying.

He's not simply another long-range attacker. His orbiting projectiles give him a unique learning curve, while Gravity adds a team-oriented mechanic that can completely change how your squad approaches a fight.

For solo players, his value will depend more heavily on whether random teammates understand how to capitalize on his Super. In coordinated teams, however, his potential is much higher.

Keep in mind that Cosmo is scheduled to release in September 2026, and his final numbers or abilities may change before launch.
