Brawl Stars Damage Dealer Tier List – 2026 (Worst to Best)

The Damage Dealer class in Brawl Stars has always been one of the most populated and versatile roles in the game.

This tier list ranks every Damage Dealer in Brawl Stars from worst to best, based on top-ladder data, win rates, pick rates, and overall meta relevance heading into Season 53.

SS-Tier: Pearl, 8-Bit, Lumi, Rico, Surge

S-Tier: Tara, Moe, Carl, Melodie, Colt

A-Tier: Spike, Lola, Chester, Nani, Nita

B-Tier: Clancy, Shelly, Eve, Colette, R-T

SS-Tier: The Top Tier

Surge

The best damage dealer in the game is Surge. Out of every brawler that received a Hypercharge in this update, Surge definitely received the worst nerfs to his base kit. While this may put his top spot into question, Surge remains the best damage dealer in the game. His Hypercharge really changed his kit, leaving him with very few counters and even fewer brawlers that are actually better than him in the meta. As of August 2026, despite his nerfs, Surge has held his S-tier placement in post-patch community rankings. His Hypercharge remains among the best in the game, alongside Mortis, Max, and Kit.

Surge has proven to be a prime example of why Hypercharges were probably a mistake—they take an already strong brawler and push them into a tier of their own.

Rico

Rico is definitely better than most expected. When his Hypercharge was released, most people felt he got the worst one from the update. But as the other damage dealers he was compared to received nerfs, Rico has been allowed to shine more in the meta. While his Hypercharge still isn't as strong as many others added in this update, Rico was always considered one of the better brawlers even before his Hypercharge released.

Lumi

Lumi has held her own remarkably well, even without any real changes to her kit. She has maintained her relevance in the meta with still-very-high damage output, excellent area control with her Super, a great second gadget, and a really, really good Hypercharge. While she's mostly compared to other brawlers with their own Hypercharges, you can still argue that Lumi is probably the best damage dealer in the game.

8-Bit

8-Bit was part of the most recent wave of Hypercharges, and these have transformed him into a completely different brawler, improving every aspect of his kit. While he's no longer in his prime after a wave of significant nerfs, 8-Bit still regularly outperforms most brawlers in his class. He does have more counters compared to the other top-five brawlers because of his slow movement speed, but he's still an incredible brawler.

Pearl

Pearl's recent heat mechanic buff has treated her exceptionally well. This buff increased her overall damage output, allowed her to deal more damage consistently, and improved her heat management—making her less reliant on reserving heat for the perfect moment. It's a small buff on paper, but it's really improved the rest of her kit.

 

S-Tier: The Solid Tier

Colt

Colt is a really well-rounded brawler. He deals great damage, has insane range, and performs well against aggressive brawlers. His wall-break utility is excellent, and he's one of the best Heist brawlers in the game. Unlike most brawlers that excel in only one mode, Colt can be used in many more situations. His own Hypercharge puts him ahead of most brawlers in the meta.

Melodie

Melodie plays much more like an assassin than an actual damage dealer. Because of her playstyle, she gets countered by other damage dealers that are harder to approach. Her Hypercharge is really good, and she deals tons of damage. She's also a high-mobility brawler, but that's more of an assassin trait that shouldn't be the focus of a damage dealer.

Carl

Carl is way better than most people think now that the meta has moved away from the more overpowered crowd-control brawlers. He can be used much more often without the fear of his Super being completely useless. His damage output is really good with his Heat Ejector, and his Hypercharge is decent. He's relatively easy to counter, so he isn't completely OP.

Tara

Tara is a decent brawler—not too strong, but nowhere near as weak as the others mentioned before her. Her damage output is solid, and she can control a decent amount of area with her Super. Her Hypercharge is her most important ability, breaking walls effectively and being practically inescapable.

Moe

Moe is a very underrated brawler. His damage output is solid—a bit inconsistent, but it gets the job done. His Hypercharge is excellent for traveling long distances quickly, and the damage he can deal from it is insane. He still has a few counters and isn't receiving buffs anytime soon, so he isn't broken.

 

A-Tier: The Average Tier

Nita

Nita suffers from two main problems. First, power creep—she can't keep up with so many better anti-tanks, and Bruce's HP gets deleted by high-DPS brawlers. Second, her counters—unlike most brawlers, when Nita isn't in a favorable matchup, she's nearly unplayable. However, as a brawler with her own Hypercharge, Nita has an edge over many others, with her Hypercharge significantly improving her kit.

Spike

Spike has become really underwhelming. His Hypercharge—which increases his Super radius, speed, damage, and shield—is no longer as game-breaking as it once was. There are plenty of mid-range anti-tanks that are more versatile and effective, and against aggressive brawlers like Edgar, Spike struggles significantly. He's still good at what he does, but in a meta full of excellent damage dealers, Spike simply can't keep up.

Lola

Lola finds herself in a similar situation to Eve. She was briefly broken due to a bug some time ago, but without it, she's no longer exceptional. She's a forgotten brawler in this class—a long-range damage dealer whose clone mechanic doesn't offer enough value in the current meta.

Chester

Chester has been seriously hurt by power creep. He's been outclassed by brawlers that aren't even classified as damage dealers. He struggles against some of the top brawlers in the meta, and with the nerfs he's received, he simply feels worse to play. Some players still argue Chester is consistent and good against dive brawlers, but the consensus is that he's fallen off.

Nani

Nani is arguably in the wrong class. While she deals significant damage, her range exceeds that of some marksmen, and her Super controls more area than many controllers. She's currently a very annoying brawler that's good against snipers, and her Hypercharge remains strong. However, she's definitely seen better days.

 

B-Tier: The Bottom Tier

Clancy

Clancy sits at the very bottom of the Damage Dealer class. Despite receiving buffs that gave him some firepower to showcase, his position hasn't recovered to a competitive level. His range nerf significantly disrupted his playstyle, and as always, he struggles immensely to reach his third stage. However, even with all these drawbacks, Clancy doesn't quite sink to F-tier—he's just outclassed by nearly every other option in the class. With a poor pick rate of 0.43% and a 41% win rate at the top 200 in early 2026, his struggles are well-documented. The August balance changes further slowed his reload speed by 10%, creating an additional cost for his stage progression.

Shelly

Shelly is arguably the weakest brawler in the game right now, even with her own Hypercharge. She remains somewhat useful against tanks, but with brawlers like Stu and Surge dominating the meta, Shelly's underwhelming kit simply can't keep up. Even her Hypercharge—which grants roughly +25% speed, +25% damage, and a +15% shield—isn't enough to overcome the overwhelming power creep she faces. Both Shelly and Colt currently sit lower on tier lists than their reputations might suggest.

Eve

Eve's main problem is relevance. She's one of the most forgotten brawlers in the game, and this has prevented her from receiving any notable balance changes for months. She continues to get overwhelmed by aggressive brawlers that she doesn't handle well with her somewhat underwhelming DPS. Eve remains solid on specific maps where she can utilize her water-floating ability, but almost every new brawler comes with similar mobility options, making Eve far less special than she used to be.

Colette

Colette has fallen hard after a series of significant nerfs. She has completely lost the hype she had when her Hypercharge was initially released. However, the August 2026 balance changes may offer a lifeline—her Super charge rate is being increased by 10% in the upcoming September patch. Still, in her current state, she's just underwhelming compared to her former glory.

R-T

R-T is the first brawler on this list that isn't completely torturous to play right now. As long as you're decent at landing shots, R-T can still deal very good damage. His biggest drawback is his competition—there are simply too many better damage dealers that require less skill but offer higher damage output. That said, his Hypercharge is considered "absolutely broken" by some players, and he's currently ranked #11 out of 106 brawlers on some tier lists.

 

Conclusion

The Damage Dealer class is arguably the most balanced class I've ranked so far, with a good mix of useless and broken brawlers. The current meta heavily favors high-mobility brawlers and burst damage specialists, with brawlers like Surge, Rico, and Lumi defining the top of the class.
