Arabella is set to join Chaos Zero Nightmare on August 19, 2026, arriving in Season 4 Phase 2 right after Hilde's run ends. As the leader of the mercenary group Black Spica, she fights with a flexible blade, a whip-like sword that nobody else in the current roster uses, and she's shaping up to be one of the more spacing-heavy, combo-driven combatants the game has introduced so far.

This page is being built ahead of her actual kit reveal, so treat it as a starting point rather than a finished guide. We'll fill in cards, Epiphanies, gear, and teams as soon as Arabella's real numbers go live.

Overview

Arabella

Arabella is a 5★ Instinct Striker, confirmed to release alongside her signature Partner, Licinia, during Season 4 Phase 2. She's a limited-time Seasonal combatant, meaning she'll only be recruitable during her own rate-up banner window before rotating out.

Her weapon, the flexible blade, is described as a whip-like sword built for spacing and combo chaining, a playstyle that doesn't really exist elsewhere in the current cast. Alongside Hilde's bow and Olga's scythe, she's part of a trio meant to noticeably widen a roster that has leaned melee-heavy up to this point.

Core Mechanic: Rift Scaling

Arabella shares the season's new damage-over-time system, Rift, with her two seasonmates. Rift deals a percentage of damage at the end of the turn based on its stack count, then halves itself, up to a cap of 30 stacks. Where Hilde builds toward big payoff turns through card cycling and Olga stacks Rift through a Fragmentation-style debuff, Arabella's damage is said to scale with the number of harmful effects currently on her target, which points toward a kit that wants Rift applied and possibly extended through a card like "Rift Expansion" before she cashes in.

None of this is confirmed at the card level yet. Exact multipliers, Epiphany options, and her Ego Skill haven't been published, so don't build around this until her actual kit drops.

Story & Background

Arabella leads Black Spica, a mercenary group with a reputation for taking on any job as long as the pay is right, using whatever methods a mission requires. That reputation for ruthlessness sits a little oddly against how the group actually operates internally: they're tight-knit, almost family-like, bound to each other in a way their public image doesn't really suggest. Black Spica's dealings often put them at odds with other factions in the Chaos Galaxy, but their usefulness for quiet, off-the-books work means even rival factions come calling when a job needs to stay unofficial.

Arabella is the second member of Black Spica to join the roster, following Veronica, who's already established as part of the group. Where Veronica plays more like a supportive damage dealer built around generating and reinforcing Ballista cards, Arabella's role is framed as the group's leader and its more aggressive, front-facing combatant, matching a design that leans into precarious, dangerous allure.

Beyond her own kit, Arabella has also been flagged as connected to the season's larger story about the cosmic gods and the new Flash mechanic, alongside Olga. Her exact role in that thread hasn't been detailed yet, but it suggests she'll matter to Season 4's narrative beyond just being a new banner unit.

FAQ

Is Arabella worth pulling?

Too early to say. Her damage-scaling concept sounds promising on paper, but nothing about her actual numbers, Epiphanies, or AP cost is public yet.

Is Arabella a limited or permanent character?

She's a Seasonal combatant, meaning she's only recruitable during her rate-up banner window and won't have a standard rerun the way core roster characters do.

Will Arabella be F2P-viable?

Unknown until her kit and Epiphany picks are released. We'll update this once her numbers are confirmed.

How is Arabella different from Veronica, given they're both Black Spica?

Veronica plays as a support-leaning damage dealer around her Ballista cards. Arabella is positioned as a more aggressive, combo-focused Striker, and the two don't currently overlap in kit design based on what's been shown.
