Chaos Zero Nightmare Chaos And Zero System - Everything You Need To Know

What Is Chaos Manifestation

The main gameplay content of Chaos Zero Nightmare and the roguelike mode of the game that offers endless replayability, Chaos is a special game mode where players will need to build the decks of each character in the team in order to challenge the different enemies. Each Chaos Manifestation Zones have different sizes and types of enemies and encounters, the larger the zone, the more nodes you will have to go through and the more battles and encounters you can partake in.

Upon clearing stages and advancing in the Chaos zones, players will be able to add cards, enhance their cards and obtain special equipment in order to strengthen the card deck of their characters in order to use these card decks outside in other farming contents.

Chaos Manifestation

Upon clearing the boss in Chaos or upon reaching checkpoints, players will be able to exit out of the Chaos to save their Card Decks to be used in other contents and be able to obtain special points that increase the reward level of each Chaos Zone, allowing you to obtain special rewards and unlock special buff cards and equipment.

What Is The Zero System

Upon reaching account level 40 and finishing the main story chapter 5, players will be able to unlock the special Zero System. This system is a special gamemode where you can actualize different instances of Chaos Manifestation Zones with extra difficulty modifiers by spending or the special currency to set the difficulty and zone you want to face.

Zero System

These special Chaos Manifestation Zones will have higher difficulty, challenges and higher level bosses and enemies. In exchange, you will be able to obtain better rewards, gain better cards and decks and will be able to obtain special currencies that can be used to enhance your team to make challenging Chaos Zones much easier.

Upon clearing these Chaos zones, players will be able to obtain special Zero currencies that you can spend to upgrade your team’s stats and enhance the chance of special encounters and effects in the Zero System Chaos Zones. Additionally, upon accumulating the Zero currencies, you will be able to obtain special rewards.

Deep Trauma Mode & Save Value

Each Chaos Zones will have different difficulty levels for you to tackle, with each difficulty being unlocked as you progress in the game and level up your account as well as finishing your ascension stages. Before challenging these difficulties, if players have characters that have experienced the deep trauma effect in Chaos before in the team, they will be able to activate the special Deep Trauma mode for each difficulty.

Team formation

The Deep Trauma mode is special mode that turns the entire Chaos Zone more chaotic, increasing the stats of the enemies in the Zone, increasing the amount of Stress they inflict on the characters, introducing additional special stress mechanics for each characters during the exploration and increase the severity of each of the characters’ stress responses and trauma effects. In exchange for enabling this mode, players will be able to trigger the characters’ Epiphany more often, granting them better enhanced cards, increasing the chance of the characters obtaining strong weapons and more importantly, allowing you to increase your Save Value.

Save Data Value

Each Chaos Zone, will have an assigned Save Value based on their difficulty and based on how big a zone is, the Save Value will determine how many cards you can keep at the end of an exploration, ensuring that you won’t be able to funnel all the most powerful cards into a single character and create the strongest possible deck easily. The higher the Save Value, the more cards can be saved and the less card randomization will happen. The Save Value ranges from Very Low, Low, Normal, High and Very High, with Deep Trauma mode increasing the initial Save Value of a Chaos Zone by 1 stage if you decide to trigger it before exploration.

TB Value & Deck Building

Now that we have gone over what the Save Value is for the Chaos Zones, we will need to talk about how it affects your deck building and especially your deck’s TB Value.

TB Value is essentially a measurement that signifies how high value your deck is, the more high value cards you have in your deck, the more TB value you have. Different cards have different TB values assigned to them, with the stronger cards resulting in higher TB total value for the card deck. Please note that high TB doesn’t means that your deck is strong, it just means that you have a high amount of high value cards in the deck.

save data

The Save Value of each Chaos determines the maximum amount of TB value your card deck can have when you complete a Chaos Zone. If your deck’s TB value exceed the maximum allowed TB for the Save Value of the Chaos Zones, some of your cards will either be downgraded or even removed entirely from the card deck when you exit the Chaos Zone. This process is entirely randomized, with the system often prioritizing downgrading high value cards, removing duplicated cards if they are too high in value or adding back low value cards that you have removed during the run to balance out the deck’s TB value.

It is also important to note that different Epiphany Effects on the cards will also contribute to the card’s overall TB Value, with Legendary Epiphany effects increasing the TB Value massively. So having multiple of these Legendary Epiphany Effects might result in higher TB value but might also lead to their effects being downgraded or downright removed from the deck. So please be careful.

Equipment Grade & Rarity

Aside from building a character deck during each Chaos Exploration run, players will also be able to put special equipment onto the 3 characters during the exploration, granting them special effects during the exploration. These equipments will be carried out together with the characters’ card deck once players have finished their exploration.

Equipment

There are 3 different rarities for teh equipment in Chaos: Rare, Legendary and Mythic, with Mythic being the most powerful rarity of equipment. However, the downside is that a character can only equip 1 single Mythic equipment among their 3 equipment slots, so players need to choose carefully.

The higher the level of the Chaos Zone you enter, the higher the Grade and rarity of equipment, and the better their effects are. Additionally, higher level Chaos Zones are more likely to drop special Equipment for players to obtain.

Specific Chaos Zones will have specific special Equipment that players can obtain. The majority of these are essential Mythic Rarity Equipment, so depending on the characters, if players want to farm equipment and build, selecting the correct Chaos Zone to enter is extremely important.

Additionally, equipment does not contribute to a deck’s TB Value in any way, so you can have the best equipment on a character without worrying about it affecting the TB balancing process at the end of each exploration.

Chaos Zero Nightmare Chaos And Zero System - Best Tips & Tricks For High TB Decks

With all of the important information about Chaos Exploration and Zero System explained, here are some tips and tricks for players to obtain the best card decks with high TB Value after each Chaos Zone Exploration.

Challenge The Hardest Possible Chaos Zone Difficulty On Deep Trauma Mode

Depending on your progress in the game and how strong your team is, the best course of action to get a good Card Deck with high TB is to challenge the highest possible difficulty of the Chaos Zone of your choosing, preferably the Chaos Zone that your main DPS is strong against. It is even better if you can challenge it with Deep Trauma mode active to increase the Save Value of the Chaos Zone Even Further.

This ensures that the save value of the chaos zone you challenge is the highest with you being able to obtain various powerful cards upon clearing the Zones to be able to keep the best possible cards for your deck.

That being said, if you are not confident with your damage output to challenge the different high level Chaos Zones, clearing them to increase the reward level and obtain special items is also a decent choice, as long as you start your exploration on the Chaos Zones with the highest Save Value.

Focus On Building Only 1 Character Per Chaos Exploration

While it might be tempting to try and get as many TB card decks as possible in 1 single run for all 3 of your characters, it is more efficient overall for you to focus on a single character’s deck for each exploration run.

This is mainly due to the fact that you will need to do a lot of card deck manipulation, including removing and copying cards of the specific characters in order to build the perfect deck for them during each run. Therefore, focusing all of the strong effects and deck building effort to 1 character per run is more efficient overall. Additionally, there’s little to no cost for running Chaos Exploration, so players can run them as many times as they want and build up the perfect card deck for your favorite characters.

Remove Basic Cards & Copy Special Epiphany Cards

During each of your exploration runs, you will be able to remove cards during certain events and during the shop at resting points. To help increase the overall TB value of your deck, you should remove the basic cards in your deck whenever you are able to.

The basic cards in your characters’ deck can’t trigger Epiphany and will normally be dead cards when drawn during a fight, so removing all of them is highly recommended for a high TB card deck. That being said, please remember that the game might add them back to your deck at the end of the Exploration at random due to TB calculations, so don’t be surprised when they show up again.

 Epiphany

Once you defeat the final bosses of the Outskirt and Interior of each Chaos Zones and during special events, you will have the chance to duplicate your cards. It is highly recommended that you duplicate the characters’ core cards with powerful epiphany effects in order to allow their skill kit to be more consistent. However, please keep in mind that core cards with Epiphany are considered high TB Cards and might be removed and downgraded during the process, so players shouldn’t be surprised when finding out that your duplicated card is removed from the deck at the end.

High Rarity Equipment Is Sometimes More Valuable Than Cards

For certain characters, especially support characters, having strong equipment is better than focusing on a card deck filled with high level cards, especially since a lot of strong supporting cards have low TB value in the first place.

Therefore, to boost the overall usefulness of certain characters, players should focus on pushing for different high tier equipment on them to boost the team’s power when they are on the field instead of focusing on boosting their TB Value.

Conclusion

With that, we have gone over everything players need to know about Chaos Exploration and the Zero System in Chaos Zero Nightmare. We hope that our information and advice to you will allow you to be able to create the best card decks with the highest TB value for your favorite characters in the easiest and most efficient way possible.
