Anime Fury is back, and Clash of Clans has brought two anime temporary troops with it: M.E.C.H.A and Broom Witch.
They are not brand-new troops, but they are back for the anime-themed season, and yes, they are still pretty wild. One smashes through bases from the ground, while the other flies in on a broom and sends Witch Spirits everywhere.
This guide covers how M.E.C.H.A and Broom Witch work, how to use them, and which one fits your attack style better.
Anime Fury Temporary Troops Overview
During the anime-themed season, M.E.C.H.A and Broom Witch return as special temporary troops. Temporary troops are only available during event periods, and their levels usually depend on your Town Hall level instead of Laboratory upgrades.
That means you do not need to spend time upgrading them. Once they are available to your Town Hall, you can train them and start testing armies right away.
Here is the quick version:

M.E.C.H.A is easier to use in ground pushes, while Broom Witch fits air attacks that can play around Wizard Towers and Witch Spirits.
M.E.C.H.A

M.E.C.H.A is a ground temporary troop that targets defenses first. She will go after defensive buildings before anything else, which makes her useful for pushing into the base and removing key defenses.
Her biggest feature is her huge damage multiplier against Walls. She does not target Walls for no reason, but when a Wall blocks her route to the next defense, she can break through it very quickly. This makes her a strong opener for ground armies, especially when you need a clean way into the first or second compartment.
Do not use M.E.C.H.A as a simple meat shield. She works best when you use her to head for defenses, break Walls on the way, and open a cleaner path for your ground army. Used well, she can help your main army reach the core without relying completely on Wall Breakers, Jump Spells, or Siege Machines.
There is one important weakness, though. Because she focuses on defenses, she may ignore defending Clan Castle troops, Heroes, and Skeleton Trap skeletons while defenses are still standing. If you send her in without support, those units can slowly chew through her and ruin the push.
How to Use M.E.C.H.A
The simplest way to use M.E.C.H.A is to send her in before or alongside your main ground army.
Pick the side of the base where you want to enter, then deploy a few M.E.C.H.As toward nearby defenses. If Walls block the path, they can tear through them and open the way. After that, your Heroes and main troops can follow through the gap instead of wandering around the outside.
M.E.C.H.A works well with troops that need access to compartments, such as Witches, Bowlers, Valkyries, Yetis, or Heroes. She can also help create a clean funnel because she naturally moves toward defenses instead of getting distracted by collectors and outside buildings.
Still, do not let her walk into enemy troops alone. Bring a Poison Spell for Clan Castle troops, or use your Archer Queen, Barbarian King, Valkyries, Wizards, or other support troops to handle them. M.E.C.H.A can open the base, but she should not be your only answer to everything inside it.
Also be careful with traps. Since M.E.C.H.A does not have the same massive housing space as heavier troops, Spring Traps can be a problem if you spam her through obvious trap zones.
Best M.E.C.H.A Tips
- Use M.E.C.H.A as a ground opener, not just a random tank.
- Send her toward defenses behind Walls to get value from her wall damage.
- Clear or poison Clan Castle troops before they become a problem.
- Support her with Heroes or splash troops so she does not get overwhelmed.
- Avoid dropping all your M.E.C.H.As into one narrow, trap-heavy path.
Broom Witch

Broom Witch is a flying temporary troop with a very specific target priority: Wizard Towers.
As long as Wizard Towers are still standing, Broom Witch will fly toward them first. She will ignore other buildings while Wizard Towers remain on the battlefield. Once all Wizard Towers are destroyed, she continues by attacking other defenses. After defenses are gone, she behaves like a normal troop and attacks the nearest available building.
Her special mechanic is the Witch Spirit spawn. When Broom Witch takes damage, she summons Witch Spirits. These spirits are a major part of her damage, so you should not think of Broom Witch as just one flying troop. Think of her as a flying summoner: the main troop pressures defenses, while the Witch Spirits add extra damage.
This makes her fun, but also a little harder to control than M.E.C.H.A. Her pathing depends heavily on Wizard Tower placement. If the Wizard Towers are in good spots, she can fly deep into the base and create a lot of pressure. If they are spread awkwardly, she may split off or move into dangerous air defenses.
How to Use Broom Witch
Before using Broom Witch, always check the Wizard Towers first. If the Wizard Towers are close to your planned entry, Broom Witch can move naturally with your army and help remove them. If the Wizard Towers are scattered across different sides of the base, your Broom Witches may split, which can weaken the attack.
You can solve this by removing one Wizard Tower early with Heroes, spells, or a small troop group. You can also use Overgrowth Spell to disable part of the base and make the path cleaner. Once the Wizard Towers are destroyed or temporarily controlled, Broom Witch becomes easier to guide into the rest of the defenses.
Because she is a flying troop, Broom Witch works best with air support and good spell timing. Balloons can help pressure defenses. Minions are useful for cleanup. Freeze Spell can protect the push from high-damage defenses, while Rage Spell can help your air army burn through the core faster.
Broom Witch hits much harder when you plan her route around Wizard Towers. If you just spam her without checking the base, she may fly off in strange directions. If you plan around Wizard Towers, she becomes much more reliable.
Best Broom Witch Tips
- Always check Wizard Tower placement before attacking.
- Use Heroes or spells to remove awkward Wizard Towers early.
- Do not let your Broom Witches split across the whole base unless the layout is weak.
- Use Freeze or Overgrowth to control dangerous areas.
- Bring cleanup troops like Minions, Archers, or Barbarians for leftover buildings.
M.E.C.H.A vs Broom Witch
M.E.C.H.A is the safer choice for most players. She is easy to understand, fits naturally into ground armies, and helps solve one of the biggest ground attack problems: getting into the base.
Broom Witch is flashier, but also less predictable. She can be very powerful in air attacks, but her Wizard Tower targeting means you need to plan her path carefully. If the base layout is good for her, she can do a lot of work. If the layout pulls her apart, the attack can feel messy.
- Choose M.E.C.H.A if you want a simple, steady ground push. She is easier to use, helps open compartments, and fits naturally into ground armies.
- Choose Broom Witch if you enjoy air attacks, spell timing, and more chaotic gameplay. She can be very strong, but you need to plan around Wizard Tower placement.
For casual event attacks, M.E.C.H.A is usually easier. For players who like experimenting, Broom Witch may be more fun.
Final Thoughts
That’s the guide to M.E.C.H.A and Broom Witch. M.E.C.H.A is better for ground pushes and breaking into bases, while Broom Witch works better in air attacks built around Wizard Towers.
Try both while they are available and see which one fits your attack style.
