Best TH14 Attack Strategies: 3 Armies That 3-Star Almost Any Base

Town Hall 14 can feel like a wall the first time you hit it — Scattershots, a stronger Eagle Artillery, and bases packed tighter than anything you saw at TH13. The good news is that a handful of army compositions have proven themselves reliable enough to carry most players through wars, CWL, and legend league pushes without a ton of practice. Below are three that consistently get the job done: RC Charge Mass Dragons for raw power, Fireball Super Witches for league pushing, and Clone Super Yeti for players who want an easier learning curve.

RC Charge Mass Dragons

At a Glance

  • Core army: Royal Champion + Dragons, backed by Queen, King, Siege Barracks, Grand Warden
  • Key equipment: Rocket Spear (or Seeking Shield) + Electro Boots, level 18+ recommended
  • Spells: Invisibility, Poison, Totem
  • In one line: RC snipes a path with Rocket Spear + Invisibility, then Dragons pour through the middle behind Queen/King/Warden

Royal Champion

This is the hardest of the three to pull off cleanly, but when it lands it can tear through almost any base layout, including CWL mismatches against slightly higher town halls.

Start by scanning the base for its most heavily defended section, then drop the Royal Champion in a corner and pop Rocket Spear to snipe four or five defenses before she ever takes a hit. If you don't have Rocket Spear unlocked yet, Seeking Shield is a solid substitute. Once she's inside the base, keep rotating Invisibility Spells roughly every four seconds — hit a defense, let Electro Boots finish it off while it's invisible, then move her attention to the next target. This lets you steer her toward the specific defenses you actually want gone. Electro Boots at level 15 is the floor for this to work reliably; level 18–21 is where it really shines.

RC Charge Mass Dragons

Once she's cleared a path, recall her back into your main army so you can use her a second time. Send a Dragon ahead to clean up trash buildings and drop a Poison Spell on the enemy Clan Castle troops. Then release the Archer Queen, Barbarian King, and a Siege Barracks in a corner to clear the sides of the base while all your Dragons go in the middle alongside the Grand Warden and the recalled Royal Champion. A Totem Spell near splash-damage defenses (or single-target Infernos) keeps your troops alive long enough to reach the core, where the Warden's ability should finish the job.

This one takes real reps to get comfortable with — the RC's positioning and the Invisibility Spell timing are unforgiving if you rush them. Practice it in friendlies before trusting it in a war attack.

Fireball Super Witches

At a Glance

  • Core army: Super Witches + Ice Golems, backed by Grand Warden, Healers, Baby Dragon
  • Key equipment: Any Warden equipment that supports funneling (Life Aura ability recommended)
  • Spells: Fireball, Ice Block, Invisibility, Earthquake, Rage
  • In one line: Warden fireballs the Eagle Artillery to open a funnel, then Super Witches + Ice Golems flood in behind Log Launcher + Royal Champion

If your goal is climbing the ladder rather than winning wars, this is the strategy worth learning. It trades some of RC Charge's raw power for a much stronger funnel and better consistency against ring bases.

Scan the base for a defense worth fireballing, then release the Grand Warden into a safe corner backed by Healers and a couple of Loons. Send a Baby Dragon to clear corner buildings and start the funnel, and use a few Archers and a Minion on the opposite corners — but don't commit your full army to the outside yet. Target the Eagle Artillery with the Fireball, since it's usually the best value pick for opening up the funnel, but let the Warden clear the outer defenses and move closer to it first.

Super Witches

Don't rush the funnel — giving the Warden up to a full minute here is fine, since Super Witches and your heroes will make up the time once they're deployed. An Ice Block Spell on the Warden during this phase keeps him locked in place so the Fireball hits the right target and stops him wandering into range of other defenses. Once he's cleared enough space, layer Invisibility Spells over the remaining corner defenses, fireball the target, then drop Earthquake Spells to finish clearing the area.

From there, send in two Ice Golems backed by the full Super Witch pack near the Warden's aura — the Warden should peel off from his target and join the main push while the Healers shift over to support the witches. A Log Launcher opens walls, and the Royal Champion in a corner extends the funnel further. Poison and Freeze spells handle the enemy Clan Castle, and Totem Spells keep distracting defenses along the way. Once the army is inside, use the Barbarian King's ability near the Town Hall to blow open the last walls and finish with a Rage Spell on the heavily defended core.

The one real risk here is time fails — Super Witches move slowly, so tight funnel timing matters more than in most other TH14 armies.

Clone Super Yeti with Mass Dragons

At a Glance

  • Core army: Dragons + Loons + Lava Hound + Battle Blimp (Super Yeti in Clan Castle)
  • Key equipment: Royal Champion for corner clear, Barbarian King for funnel support
  • Spells: Giant Arrow, Totem, Clone (x3), Rage
  • In one line: Blimp drops Super Yeti on the Town Hall, triple-Clone + Rage does the heavy lifting while Dragons clean up the rest

This is the easiest of the three, and a good starting point if RC Charge or Super Witches feel like too much to manage at once.

Clone Super Yeti with Mass Dragons

Look for two Air Defenses in a straight line and take them out with Giant Arrow — bonus points if an Air Sweeper is caught in the same line. Send the Royal Champion to clear one more Air Defense in a corner, with the Barbarian King supporting her to build a clean funnel. Give them a few seconds to clear nearby corner buildings so your Dragons stay grouped and follow a single path in, then use the King's ability to carve open the side and drop a Totem Spell to protect the Royal Champion.

Release your Dragons backed by Loons, then send in a Lava Hound followed by the Battle Blimp. Another Totem Spell here protects the group long enough for the Blimp to reach the Town Hall. Once it does, drop all three Clone Spells and a Rage Spell onto the Super Yeti riding inside — from that point, the cloned, raged Super Yetis do the heavy lifting while your Dragons mop up whatever's left around the base.

One tip that makes a real difference: send the Battle Blimp as deep into the base as you can, or aim it directly at the Town Hall or the most heavily defended cluster, since that's where the cloned Yetis get the most value. This army doesn't demand much practice or high equipment levels, which is exactly why it's a good pick if you're still building up your hero gear.

Which One Should You Actually Use?

If you're pushing for war stars or need to cover a CWL mismatch, RC Charge Mass Dragons gives you the most raw destructive power, but only once you've drilled the RC positioning. Fireball Super Witches is the better pick for legend league and trophy pushing, where consistency across many attacks matters more than any single perfect one. Clone Super Yeti is the one to lean on while you're still gearing up — it's forgiving, doesn't need deep equipment investment, and still clears the bulk of most bases in under a minute.

FAQ

Do these strategies still work against TH14 bases with Giga Inferno?

Yes, but timing matters more. If your army destroys the Town Hall while troops are still clustered nearby, the pulsing damage from Giga Inferno can wipe out survivors that would otherwise have finished the base. Spreading your final push slightly, or timing the Town Hall kill for late in the attack, helps avoid this.

Is RC Charge worth learning as a free-to-play player?

It's usable without Rocket Spear, but Seeking Shield alone is noticeably weaker for sniping. If you're F2P, Fireball Super Witches or Clone Super Yeti will likely get you more consistent results with less equipment investment.

What Grand Warden ability works best with Fireball Super Witches?

Life Aura is the standard pick, since it keeps your Super Witches and heroes alive longer through the core. Some players swap to a defensive ability if they're worried about a specific trap or CC combo, but Life Aura is the safer default.

Why did I fail with Clone Super Yeti even though the Blimp landed on the Town Hall?

Usually it's a funnel issue — if the Dragons scatter before the Blimp arrives, the cloned Yetis end up exposed instead of protected. Spend the extra few seconds early on tightening the funnel before sending in the Blimp.
