The Cosmic Curse: Portal Panic season has officially taken over, bringing a reality-bending lineup of dark magic, temporal chaos, and top-tier loot.

October in Clash gets super busy, and with everything happening at once, it’s ridiculously easy to lose track of time and miss out on the best rewards. Don't worry—I've rounded up all the important dates, troop mechanics, and reward priorities right here. Let’s make sure you get the most out of this event.

 

Cosmic Curse Portal Panic Calendar

October in Clash of Clans is legendary for its stack of overlapping events. With CWL, Clan Games, and limited-time events running back-to-back, dropping the ball on event dates is a quick ticket to missing out on non-returning items.

Minion Prince Portal Pendant

If you only commit to one single task during this entire Clash-O-Ween event, make it unlocking the Portal Pendant. It is the absolute highest-priority reward in the Cosmic Curse season.

Unlike temporary seasonal troops (like the Totem Thrower) or monthly spell boosts that disappear when Halloween ends, the Portal Pendant is a permanent Epic Hero Equipment for the Minion Prince. Once you unlock it, it stays in your Hero Hall loadout forever.

Why Do You Need It

• Permanent Account Value: Unlocking this equipment permanently expands the Minion Prince’s tactical flexibility in War and Trophy pushes without costing a single Gem.

• Auto-Maxed Trial Period (Oct 20 – Oct 25): During the late-event boost window, all eligible Town Halls (TH9+) get to test the Portal Pendant at maximum stats in multiplayer and Clan War attacks. Unlocking it now allows you to enjoy max-level power immediately without spending heavy Ores right away.

• 100% Free Progression Boost: You earn it entirely through active gameplay rather than paid bundles or Gold Pass tiers.

How To Get It

• Farm Sour Elixir: Raid enemy bases during multiplayer attacks to fill up your Builder Imp’s Sour Elixir Fountain.

• Collect Rift Medals: Progress through the Portal Panic event reward track to earn event currency (Rift Medals).

• Redeem at the Trader Shop: Exchange your Rift Medals directly for the Portal Pendant before October 27.

 

Totem Thrower

The headline temporary troop for Portal Panic is the Totem Thrower. Available for TH10+ players during specific event windows, this ranged ground troop packs a deceptive amount of utility that completely trivializes tightly packed anti-2 bases when used correctly.

Combat Mechanics

Totem Thrower attacks at 6 tiles range against ground targets using standard rock hurls. His 1st attack, and every 4th hit after that, converts to a Cursed Totem Hurl. The direct hit stuns nearby defenses, while the impact zone summons a Tiny Totem decoy.

Key Combat Stats & Traits

• Attack Range: 6 Tiles (Safely sits behind Ice Golems, Pekkas, or Root Riders).
• Targeting: Ground-only, high single-target DPS output.
• Stun & Decoy Burst: His initial hit, plus every 4th attack after, launches a cursed totem instead of a normal boulder.
• Tiny Totem Mechanics: The impact area gets stunned briefly while spawning a stationary Tiny Totem. This decoy draws aggro from both air and ground defenses (Single-Target Inferno Towers, Monoliths, X-Bows).
• Self-Destruct Timer: Tiny Totems lose HP passively over time, meaning they will disintegrate on their own even if defenses don't crush them first.

Do not build an entire army of 100% Totem Throwers outside of the 1-day Mass Troop Event. Instead, mix 3 to 4 of them behind your main kill-team push. Their periodic stuns and decoy spawns act like mini Freeze Spells and Skeleton Spells rolled into one, keeping your main funnel alive significantly longer.

 

Cosmic Curse Medal Shop

Farming Sour Elixir fills up Builder Imp's Sour Elixir Fountain, rewarding you with Rift Medals along the progression track. When you hit the Trader Shop, you should budget your hard-earned medals to optimize progression.

Tier 1 (Mandatory): Portal Pendant (Epic Equipment)

Tier 2 (Collectors): Coin Collector Decoration (3,100 Medals)

Tier 3 (Progression): Starry Ore > Glowy Ore > Shiny Ore

For dedicated village decorators, the Coin Collector is the standout limited-edition cosmetic this season.

• Cost: 3,100 Rift Medals / Event Tokens.
• Visual Profile: A dark gothic archway spiked with demonic obsidian horns, glowing with a swirling purple and crimson dimensional void at its center.
• Custom Animation & Audio: Tapping the decoration triggers a sneaky Goblin reaching out from inside the portal frame, flipping and snatching a shiny gold coin back into the void, accompanied by an eerie spatial portal hum and crisp coin clinks.

Clash-O-Ween is peak season for cosmetics, and the Cosmic Curse theme drops one of the most cohesive aesthetic sets to date.

• Shroud Queen: Mystical, veiled, and shadowy, anchored as the centerpiece of the October Gold Pass. (Ghost Champion is also available as an alternate option).
• Spider Warden: A six-limbed, six-eyed arachnid-mage wielding web spells and arcane books—just don't ask him to drink bug spray.
• Behemoth Duke: Fueled by pure galactic chaos, featuring massive upper-body gains because "leg days are for inferior beings governed by gravity."
• Cosmic Portals XL Scenery: Transforms your home village into a fractured arena caught between dimension-bending rifts created by reckless Goblins.

 

Cosmic Streak Community Event

Starting October 16 and running through October 31, the Cosmic Streak event requires you to complete at least one attack per day for 7 consecutive days. Attacks across the Home Village or Builder Base both count toward your streak.

• Individual Reward: Completing your 7-day streak unlocks an exclusive Cosmic-themed base decoration (claimable until November 1).
• Community Milestone: If the entire Clash community maintains their global streak goals, Supercell has hinted at unlocking a Double Star Bonus event. Combined with the 4x Resource Collector Boosts running from October 26 to October 28, your treasury will be overflowing right before Halloween.
