Clash of Critters: Dolphie Build and New Update

One of the most exciting new Critters in this update is the brand-new Water-type Critter, Dolphie.

Dolphie is positioned as a Water-type support Critter. Its main strengths are healing, increasing team damage, and later gaining damage reduction through evolution.

Therefore, if you are planning to build Dolphie, you should view it as a team support core, rather than a pure damage dealer.

 

 

Dolphie Skill: Melodía Marina

Dolphie’s skill is called Melodía Marina.

The skill:

• Releases sound waves;
• Heals allies that pass through the effect area;
• Grants the Sonata effect;
• Sonata can stack to increase allied damage.

This is the core mechanic of Dolphie. Unlike normal healing Critters, Dolphie does not only restore HP. It also increases the team’s offensive power while providing healing.

 

Dolphie’s Four Evolution Stages

T1	The base form mainly provides Healing + Sonata damage boost Even at the first stage, Dolphie already has a complete support identity.
T2 Phoenix	At T2, Sonata becomes stronger. Besides increasing damage, it also provides Damage reduction From this point onward, Dolphie allows teammates to deal more damage while also becoming more durable. This is currently the biggest known improvement in its evolution path.
T3 Aquariel	The basic mechanic does not change significantly. The cycle remains: Sound waves → Healing → Sonata However, the larger wave effect appears more frequently. Therefore, T3 mainly improves the consistency and coverage of Dolphie’s support abilities.
T4 Iriselia	The biggest addition at T4 is Water-type Aura This follows the typical T4 design where the Critter gains an elemental aura.

 

How Should Dolphie Be Played?

Allow as many teammates as possible to receive Dolphie’s sound wave effects.

Dolphie’s value = Healing + Sonata damage increase + Sonata damage reduction

Therefore, Dolphie is not designed to be used as a standalone damage dealer. A better approach is placing Dolphie into a team that already has a main damage dealer, allowing Dolphie to continuously support the entire team.

Especially after T2: Damage boost + Damage reduction + Healing

Together, these three effects complete Dolphie’s support role.

 

Dolphie vs Animeta

Dolphie and Animeta have similar roles because both are support-focused Critters. However, their support directions are different.

Dolphie	Animeta
Healing; Damage increase; Damage reduction after T2.	Attack boost; Defense boost; Healing.

Dolphie focuses more on increasing overall team performance through Sonata.

 

Invasion of Hordes Season 2

This is one of the most interesting parts of Dolphie.

In Invasion of Hordes, Dolphie will receive three additional skills at: Lv.1; Lv.3; Lv.7.

 

 

September 23 Update Highlights

Besides Dolphie, this update includes several important changes.

1. Necowat & Necoflir T4 Evolutions

Two Critters that previously did not have T4 evolutions will receive new Tier 4 forms:

• Necowat — Electric type;
• Necoflir — Fire type.

2. New Critter Customization System

A new collection system has been added.

Critters can now have:

• Accessories;
• Backgrounds;
• Glitter versions;
• Titles.

Different Critters will have different cosmetic options. This allows players to create unique appearances for every Critter.

3. New Building: Scanner

The new Scanner is the main way to obtain these cosmetics.

Players can build the Scanner; select a Critter; spend the new DNA currency; receive random cosmetic rewards.

4. New Critter Attributes

Each Critter now has new attributes:

• Determination;
• Charm;
• Fame.
