Season 82 introduces a brand new Hero Balloon, a sneaky Minion Horde Evolution, and a ton of events like the Festival Market and Triple Draft League. New Evolution & Hero: The Meta Shifters
The highlight of this season is undoubtedly the introduction of two game-changing cards.
Hero Balloon (Ability: Coffin Cadets)
Move over, Lava Hound. There’s a new sky giant in town.
The new Hero Balloon is a win condition that drops Skeletons on its target. Here is how the Coffin Cadets ability works:
- The Balloon flies toward the tower.
- It launches a Skeletrooper (a tanky bone boi) onto the nearest target.
- The skeleton deals area damage on landing, then keeps fighting on foot.
Strategic Note: The impact deals significant damage to troops but less to Crown Towers, so you will need to support it properly.
Minion Horde Evolution (Ability: Invisibility Cloak)
The Minion Horde finally got its Evolution, and it fixes their biggest weakness: spells.
- The Ability: When a Minion takes damage, it becomes invisible AND invincible for a few seconds.
- The Trade-off: While invisible, their attack and movement speed are reduced.
This means your opponent can’t just Arrow or Zap your Horde into oblivion anymore. They survive, they hide, and they counter-push.
Competitive Scene: Tournaments & Modes
If you love drafting, this is your season. Supercell has rotated in some of the best competitive modes.
Hero Draft Mode (April 6 – 13)
Classic Draft but supercharged. You get to draft a deck that includes the new Hero Balloon. It’s the perfect sandbox to learn the new card without risking your ladder trophies.
Triple Draft League (April 17 – 26)
This is the big one for the competitive grinders.
- How it works: Pick 1 card out of 3 choices, and you can see your opponent’s options.
- Rewards: Hit 15 wins for a League Badge.
- Leaderboard: Finish in the Top 10,000 globally to snag the exclusive Triple Draft Leaderboard Finisher Badge.
Royal Tournament (April 8 – 13)
The standard Global Tournament is live. Everything is unlocked but capped at Level 11. If you hit 12 wins, you enter the leaderboard race for that sweet Finisher Badge.
The Festival Market: Choose Your Own Path
Forget linear reward paths. The Festival Market is here until May 4, and it puts you in control.
You earn Festival Tokens through events, the Shop, and giveaways. You then spend these tokens to unlock tiers of rewards.

Balloon Race (April 20 – 27)
A new Community Event!
Pick a side: Blue Balloon vs. Red Balloon. The more battles you win, the further your team’s balloon flies. The winning team gets the glory (and extra rewards).
Crown Chase & Clan Voyage
- Crown Chase: Runs multiple times this season. Rewards include Evolution Boxes, Magic Lucky Chests, and Tokens.
- Clan Voyage: Two voyages this month. Get in a Clan now so you don’t miss the milestone rewards.
Flooded Arena Draft (April 27 – May 4)
The Arena is flooded! You can only draft Spells and Air Troops. The challenge runs May 1–4, rewarding a Battle Banner and an Emote.
