This is the clean, no-nonsense version. You get EA FC 27 without paying extra for early access, FC Points, or Premium Passes.

EA FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition

Ultimate Plus is the new top-tier edition. It costs $149.99 in the US and is only available during the early-bird window from July 23 through August 31, 2026. After August 31, it will be removed from sale.

EA has also confirmed that there is no upgrade path from Ultimate to Ultimate Plus. You cannot buy Ultimate now and pay the difference later.

Standard gives you the full game for $69.99. Ultimate costs $99.99 and adds:

Standard pre-orders already include three ICONs or Heroes, a 5-Star Coach, and a 5-Star Youth Scout. Ultimate adds the Dynamic OVR boost, a Senior Scout, and five additional Manager Live Challenge Creation Slots, but none of those are required to access or enjoy Career Mode.

Buy Standard if you mainly want the full game. Buy Ultimate if you plan to play Ultimate Team from the first week.

 

EA FC 27 Ultimate vs Ultimate Plus

This one depends entirely on how much Ultimate Team you expect to play.

Ultimate Plus gives you 4,000 more Points, four additional Premium Passes, the Hall of FUT Pick, and the FC 26 Physical Evolution.

For a dedicated FUT player who was going to buy those things anyway, the bundle may offer reasonable value.

For everyone else, the regular Ultimate Edition is more balanced.

The biggest danger is paying for long-term content that you never use. A Season 5 Premium Pass has zero value when you stop playing during Season 2. The same applies to monthly FC Points that arrive after you have already moved on to another game.
