FC 27 Future Stars Team 1: Full Squad, Base Card Upgrades & Best Players

Future Stars Team 1 is live, but the highest-rated card is only part of the story. Vicky López leads at 90 OVR, Ngumoha brings 93 Pace, and Lewis-Skelly offers a commanding midfield profile. The bigger decision is what to pay for today: an immediate squad upgrade, or a card with room to develop when the live rewards arrive in February.

FC 27 Future Stars Team 1 Release Date

Future Stars Team 1 launched on October 9, 2026, at 5 PM UTC / 6 PM BST, replacing Destined for Glory in packs. The Team 1 pack window runs until October 16.

What Is Future Stars in FC 27?

Future Stars Team 1 in FC 27

Future Stars gives emerging footballers enhanced Ultimate Team items, with immediate improvements over their Base Items. Team 1 features 15 players rated between 85 and 90, covering attacking, midfield, defensive and goalkeeper positions.

This campaign also uses live upgrades tied to real-world domestic league performances. Future Stars Academy offers a separate route to developing a player through in-game Evolutions. The two systems have different requirements: playing Ultimate Team advances Academy tasks, while live-card milestones depend on real football matches.

Best Future Stars Team 1 Players to Watch

Vicky López — A Complete Attacking Upgrade

Vicky López Future Stars 90 RW card in FC 27

Vicky López combines 90 Pace, 91 Dribbling, 87 Passing and 86 Shooting at RW. Compared with her Base Item, Shooting and Passing both rise by six points, while Pace and Dribbling gain five.

Her appeal comes from the balance between beating a defender and producing the next action. She has the headline attributes to carry the ball, combine around the box and finish attacks. 66 Physicality makes movement and quick combinations more attractive than prolonged physical duels. At 90 OVR, buy her for the card she already is: the starts-based rating rewards cannot raise her overall.

Rio Ngumoha — The Fastest Player in Team 1

Rio Ngumoha Future Stars 89 LM card in FC 27

Ngumoha’s 93 Pace leads the outfield squad, backed by 88 Dribbling, 85 Shooting and 82 Passing. His Base Item already has 90 Pace; the more substantial gains are +14 Shooting and +14 Passing, expanding what he can do after getting past his marker.

He suits an attack that stretches the pitch and creates space for runners inside. 63 Physicality remains a consideration when defenders close him down. His live progression is another reason to follow him, but his 89 OVR should not be treated as a guaranteed route to 91: the starts milestones have rating caps.

Myles Lewis-Skelly — Defensive Cover With Composure on the Ball

Myles Lewis-Skelly Future Stars 88 CDM card in FC 27

Lewis-Skelly brings 85 Defending, 88 Physicality, 86 Dribbling and 84 Passing at CDM. The released card gains nine Defending and eleven Physicality over his Base Item, alongside improvements to mobility and ball control.

That combination suits a midfielder who must recover possession without disrupting the team’s buildup. His 80 Pace offers mobility, while 70 Shooting keeps his main value in controlling central areas rather than arriving as the primary goal threat. At 88 OVR, his live upside comes through the performance rewards rather than the capped starts-based rating increases.

Ange-Yoan Bonny — Pace, Strength and Link Play

Ange-Yoan Bonny Future Stars 87 ST card in FC 27

Bonny combines 90 Pace, 85 Shooting, 87 Dribbling and 84 Physicality. Shooting, Dribbling and Physicality each gain nine points, while Passing rises from 73 to 82.

His profile suits a striker who attacks through balls but also needs to hold a position and connect with supporting attackers. The passing improvement makes him more useful in a two-striker setup or with a CAM close behind. Compare finishing, weak foot and attacking PlayStyles before paying a premium; the 87-rated card has already reached the ceiling of the starts-based OVR route.

Tom Bischof — A Much More Mobile Distributor

Tom Bischof Future Stars 86 CM card in FC 27

Bischof’s 77 Pace represents a 20-point improvement over his Base Item. His 89 Passing and 89 Dribbling stand out, supported by 84 Shooting, 79 Defending and 80 Physicality.

Those changes give him a more rounded midfield role, with fewer compromises when possession changes hands. He offers more headline passing and shooting than Lewis-Skelly, but less defensive and physical emphasis. His 86 rating also leaves room for the second starts milestone to take him to 87; it does not create a route to 88 through starts alone.

Potential Value Picks to Compare

Josh King, Lewis Hall and Jon Martín cover different squad needs without sitting at the top of Team 1’s rating list. Their value depends on the live asking price and the alternatives available for the same position.

Main Tradeoff

Josh King Future Stars 85 CAM card in FC 27

Josh King

89 Dribbling, 86 Passing and 82 Shooting at CAM.

63 Physicality; compare weak foot and attacking PlayStyles.

Lewis Hall Future Stars 86 LB card in FC 27

Lewis Hall

86 Defending and 86 Dribbling, with 84 Passing at LB.

83 Pace requires consideration against very quick wide attackers.

Jon Martín Future Stars 85 CB card in FC 27

Jon Martín

87 Defending and 87 Physicality at CB.

78 Pace makes recovery situations an important consideration.

Julian Hall is another useful comparison for striker shoppers. His 89 Pace, 83 Shooting and 86 Physicality are substantial improvements over his Base Item, while 70 Passing remains the limitation for teams that rely heavily on their striker to create chances.

FC 27 Future Stars Live Cards & Upgrade Rules

Tracking begins October 9, 2026. Live upgrades release on February 3, 2027, using domestic league performances.

ATT/MID covers CM, CAM, LW, LM, RW, RM and ST. DEF/GK covers GK, RB, LB, CB and CDM. Players must appear in the match for clean-sheet eligibility. An existing PlayStyle+ converts that reward into a base PlayStyle; an existing 5★ weak foot converts its reward into 5★ skill moves.

What the Rating Caps Mean for Team 1

The starts route does not give every card +2 OVR. An 85-rated item can reach 86 and then 87. An 86-rated item has room for only one rating increase, at the second threshold. Items already rated 87 or higher gain no OVR from either starts milestone.

That changes how the squad should be assessed. Vicky López, Ngumoha, Godts and Lewis-Skelly should be valued primarily for their current gameplay profile and remaining performance rewards. A lower-rated option may have more rating headroom, but that alone does not make it a better purchase.

The second starts milestone is a cumulative total. It does not require eight additional starts after the first four, or three more after the first two in the reduced route. Mora and Julian Hall use the reduced league requirements, rather than an arbitrary player-specific exception.

How Live Cards Affect Buying Decisions

The February release date makes these upgrades a longer-term consideration. A card that solves a squad problem today has immediate value; a card bought mainly for a future improvement ties up coins while other options continue to arrive.

Tradeable prices can respond before upgrades are applied. A goal, a starting lineup announcement or progress towards a target may increase demand, while injuries or rotation may reduce it. These are possible market reactions, not guaranteed outcomes. An upgrade can already be reflected in the price, and a competing release can still make the item less desirable.

Your own Ultimate Team goals, wins and clean sheets do not advance these milestones. Choose the released card for the role you need, then follow its real-world progress without treating a future upgrade as a guaranteed return.

How to Get Future Stars Players in FC 27

Packs and Reward Packs

The 15-player Team 1 squad is available in eligible packs during its active window. Check the pack’s player pool and rating restrictions before opening: a high-rated guarantee does not automatically mean a Future Stars guarantee.

Saved reward packs also depend on their contents and the active special-item pool when opened. If you are targeting Team 1, open eligible packs while that squad is in packs.

Transfer Market

Tradeable versions can be bought directly from other players. Search the correct special version, compare listings and check the positional fit before committing coins. Keep the February upgrade timing in mind when deciding how much extra to pay for live potential.

A new winger can also require changes elsewhere to fit your formation or chemistry. FC 27 Coins at LDShop can help you plan those additions around your squad budget, rather than spending everything on one headline card.

Player SBCs and Objectives

Carlos Espí is available through a Future Stars SBC, separate from the 15-player pack squad. Compare the submission cost with the card’s current usefulness, and check the challenge’s expiry and reward tradeability before completing it.

Objectives provide additional earnable content, including rewards linked to your Academy player. Read the required modes and squad restrictions before starting so you can combine compatible tasks.

Future Stars Academy Evolutions

Academy returns for eligible ST or CAM players born on or after October 9, 2003. Entry requires 80 OVR or lower, no more than 86 Pace and a maximum of seven PlayStyles.

The four stages release on October 9, 11, 13 and 16, taking the player through 81, 82, 83 and finally 85 OVR. Branching choices let you shape the final card towards your intended role. Review the entire chain before selecting a player and avoid unrelated Evolutions that could break eligibility for the next stage.

Academy progression is completed through in-game tasks. It is separate from waiting for the pack squad’s real-world live upgrades.

Conclusion

Future Stars Team 1 gives you a reason to follow emerging talent, but February is a long way from your next Champions run. Pay for what improves your squad now: Ngumoha’s speed, Bonny’s presence up front or Bischof’s passing in midfield. The live rewards are worth following; they are a poor reason to overlook a better card at today’s price.
