FC 27 therefore continues the familiar late-September schedule and arrives exactly one year after FC 26. Unlike the original version of this article, the September 25 date is now officially confirmed rather than predicted from the series’ history.
What Time Does EA FC 27 Early Access Start?
EA FC 27 Early Access begins at different times on PC and consoles.
On PC, Early Access starts on September 17 at 23:00 UTC. That is midnight BST on September 18 and 7:00 a.m. on September 18 in UTC+8 regions such as Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and mainland China.
On PlayStation, Xbox, and other console platforms, Early Access begins at 12:00 a.m. local time on September 18. Console players therefore unlock the game when their own local calendar reaches September 18, while PC follows one global UTC time.
Standard Edition players receive access with the worldwide launch on September 25. Since individual storefronts may show their countdowns differently, checking the final timer on your chosen platform before launch is still recommended.

When Is the EA FC 27 Closed Beta?
The invite-only EA FC 27 Closed Beta is scheduled to run from August 5 to August 25, 2026. This is separate from Early Access and takes place several weeks before the finished game launches.
Access is limited to selected players. Registering an interest through EA Playtesting does not guarantee a place, and eligible participants receive their confirmation or code by email. It is not an open beta that every player can download.
Players invited to participate should also follow the confidentiality rules included with their test access. The beta build is unfinished, so modes, ratings, gameplay balance, and other content may differ from the launch version.

EA SPORTS FC 27 Lite is a free-to-download limited preview launching on September 25 at 16:00 UTC.
It allows players to explore selected modes, including Kick-Off, before deciding whether to upgrade to the full game. Lite is not the complete FC 27 experience and should not be confused with a permanently free version of every mode.
FC 27 Lite will be available through the EA app, Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 are not included in EA’s announced Lite platform list.
What Is New in EA FC 27?
The headline addition is The Grounds, a social football playground featuring Kickabouts, 1v1 matches, Clubs, progression, football mentors, and Avatar customisation.
EA has also announced gameplay changes focused on more manual defending, smarter attacking movement, dynamic corners, and greater player control.
