Version 6.3 isn’t even done yet, but leaks for Genshin Impact 6.4 are already rolling in. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to return to Mondstadt, this is it. We’re talking about long-awaited map expansions and the release of a character who has been a legend since day one.

Here’s everything we know so far.

Release Date: When Does 6.4 Drop?

Current estimates place Version 6.4 around February 25 in 2026. Same patch rhythm, same cycle. Pretty straightforward.

 

6.4 New Character

Varka

Element & Weapon: He’s expected to be a 5-star Anemo Claymore user.

Role: He’s a main DPS. Forget support; the "Titan of the Knights of Favonius" is here to deal damage.

The Kit: Leaks suggest he’s going to feel heavy but fast. We’re expecting swift, aggressive animations with Anemo infusion.

The "Dual-Wield" Rumor: This is the most exciting part. There’s deep lore regarding an ancient "Favonius Bladework" style that uses a claymore and a sword simultaneously. Speculation is high that Varka might be the only one strong enough to bring this style back. Imagine a kit where he switches between heavy slams and quick strikes!

 

The Banner Lineup: Prepare Your Primos

It looks like 6.4 is going to be a full-on Mondstadt celebration.

Phase 1: Varka is the headliner, obviously. But here’s the kicker, leaks suggest he might be paired with Escoffier. If that’s true, Phase 1 is going to be brutal on your Primogem stash.

Phase 2: Things are hazier here. Current info points to a mysterious unknown 5-star girl. We don’t have a name or kit for her yet, so stay tuned for beta updates.

Reruns: No solid info yet. With so many new heavy hitters, the rerun slots are anyone's guess.

 

New Mondstadt Area: Dornman Port

The biggest world-building update in 6.4 is the long-awaited Dornman Port expansion.

If you’ve played through Mondstadt’s quests, you’ve heard about it.

NPCs mention it. Eula talks about it during Weinlesefest. Venti jokes about avoiding the ships there. Even the Abyss Order is rumored to use it for moving secret cargo.

What we know so far:

• It’s Mondstadt’s primary trading harbor
• Connects to Liyue, Sumeru, and other nations
• Described as a major commerce hub
• Expected to be north of Mondstadt, near Cider Lake / Stormbearer Mountains
• Possibly close to Snezhnaya’s border, which explains why it hasn’t been accessible before
• Said to house trade routes patrolled by Eula’s Reconnaissance Company
• Rumored to be involved in Abyss Order activities

Think of it as Mondstadt’s answer to Liyue Harbor—but colder, windier, and probably full of Knights of Favonius paperwork.

If 6.4 really delivers Dornman Port, this will be Mondstadt’s biggest expansion since Dragonspine.
