Let’s be honest, not everyone wants to sweat through rotations, animation cancels, or frame-perfect swaps just to clear Abyss. Sometimes you just want to press buttons, watch the screen explode, and collect your primos.
That’s where brain-dead main DPS come in. In the current version of Genshin Impact, several characters stand out as the absolute kings (and queens) of low effort, absurd payoff. These are characters that don’t ask much from the player mechanically, yet return ridiculous damage in both Abyss and overworld content.
Here are the four most brain-dead main DPS right now.
Table of Contents
Neuvillette: Two Golds for Full Dragon Authority
If there’s a single character that defines brain-dead DPS, it’s Neuvillette.
With just C1 and his signature weapon, you’re already playing what most people consider his “complete” version. No complicated rotations. No reaction micromanagement. Just charged attack, aim forward, and everything disappears.
His C1, Venerable Institution, does two very important things:
Grants him a free stack of Past Draconic Glories on field entry
Gives him massive interruption resistance during his charged attacks
That alone turns his gameplay into pure comfort. Add his naturally insane HP scaling, wide AoE beams, and self-sustain, and you get a DPS that barely cares what the enemy is doing.
Now pair him with supports like Furina, Citlali, or Xilonen, and Neuvillette becomes borderline unfair. Huge range, massive AoE, absurd numbers — all while standing still and holding one button.
This is brain-dead gameplay at its finest.

Arlecchino — The Ultimate Low-Skill Normal Attack DPS
If Neuvillette is the king of charged attack laziness, Arlecchino is the queen of brain-dead normal attacks.
She represents the peak of classic Pyro DPS design: high base numbers, minimal setup, and a kit that rewards you for simply staying on the field and attacking.
She relies on the Masque of the Red Death state. As long as her Bond of Life is high, her Normal Attacks turn into Pyro nukes.
Unlike Hu Tao, you don’t need to jump-cancel or dash-cancel until your fingers hurt. You just apply your skill, absorb the "Blood-Debt," and start clicking. Her team with Citlali, Xilonen, and Bennett is arguably the peak of Pyro DPS right now. It’s just raw, red numbers all over the screen.

Skirk — The Cryo Ceiling from the Abyss
Skirk is... a lot. She’s the literal ceiling for Cryo damage right now, and her kit basically feels like a cheat code if you enjoy big numbers without a ton of setup.
She uses Serpent’s Subtlety instead of energy for her burst. Her "Seven-Phase Flash" mode turns her into a teleporting nightmare for enemies.
She has massive "invisible" stats. Her passive Mutual Weapons Mentorship even levels up your team's Elemental Skills just for having a Hydro/Cryo mix. Pair her with Mona for those Omen buffs, and Skirk’s "Havoc: Ruin" slashes will delete entire waves of enemies before you even realize the fight started.

Mavuika — Arlecchino’s Upgrade With Exploration Built In
Finally, we have Mavuika, the Pyro Archon from Natlan — and arguably Arlecchino’s direct upgrade.
Team-wise, she slots into the same core:
Mavuika + Citlali + Xilonen + Bennett
The difference? Her burst feels complete at C0.
Mavuika doesn’t rely on constellations to feel good. Her Elemental Burst immediately puts her into a hyper-buffed state with increased interruption resistance, massive AoE damage, and zero Nightsoul consumption during her burst window.
On top of that, her kit doubles as a mobility monster. Riding the Flamestrider across terrain, gliding mid-air, sprinting through enemies, she’s one of the most comfortable characters for both combat and exploration.
High damage, zero friction, insane quality-of-life. Brain-dead, but in the best possible way.

Conclusion
Neuvillette, Arlecchino, Skirk, and Mavuika all prove that you don’t need complex mechanics to dominate the current meta. These characters reward simple inputs with overwhelming results, making them perfect for players who value comfort, consistency, and raw power.
