Genshin Impact 6.6 is already looking way more fun with Prune in the mix. As a 4-star Anemo Catalyst, she brings more than just the usual Swirl utility, with a kit that looks built for off-field pressure, reaction setups, and real team support value. This Prune build guide covers her kit, ascension and talent materials, best artifacts, weapon choices, and team comps, so you can figure out what to farm first and how to get the most out of her once she drops.
Prune Overview

Rarity: 4-star | Element: Anemo | Weapon: Catalyst
Prune looks like an off-field Anemo support-sub DPS hybrid who also brings real team buff value instead of just being a Swirl bot. Her kit wants her to trigger reactions early, convert that into extra follow-up damage, and then keep pressure going while someone else stays on field. The big thing is that she is not just there to hold VV and leave. She also rewards building high ATK, because that directly feeds both her personal damage and the damage boost she gives teammates. In practice, she feels like a reaction-driven enabler who smooths out team damage while still contributing meaningful hits of her own.
Prune Kit

Normal Attack |
Performs up to 3 attacks by swinging the Hexhunter Oathhammer, dealing Anemo DMG. |
Charged Attack |
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and performs an upward hammer swing, dealing Anemo DMG to opponents in front. |
Plunging Attack |
Calling upon the power of Anemo, she plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Anemo DMG upon impact with the ground. |
E - Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime |
Unleash the wind's might to defeat the evil witch and save Descartes! Prune strikes the Witchlure Bell with her Banehunter Oathhammer, dealing Anemo DMG. If Prune triggers Swirl on an opponent using this attack, Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime will be changed to Clang Clang! Witch-tribution Comes! for the next 6s. Clang Clang! Witch-tribution Comes! |
Q - The Bell Tolls! The Hunt is On! |
Prune gently swings the Witchlure Bell, dealing Anemo DMG to nearby opponents. After this, the Bell will enter the Hunter-Seeker mode. Witchlure Bell: Hunter-Seeker |

Verdict and Punishment |
During the Elemental Burst The Bell Tolls! The Hunt is On!, after the Witchlure Bell in Hunter-Seeker mode deals DMG to an opponent, if this DMG triggers Swirl on an opponent, it will also summon a Banehunter Oathhammer that will deal 150% of Prune's ATK as DMG, with the DMG Type matching the Elemental Conversion from the Swirl. This DMG is considered Elemental Burst DMG. |
Tolling Synchronicity |
After Prune hits an opponent with the Banehunter Oathhammer that has undergone Elemental Conversion, other nearby party members will gain the Tolling Rally effect for 5s: When Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks, or Elemental Skills and Bursts deal DMG to opponents, that attack's DMG will be increased based on the portion of Prune's ATK in excess of 1,000. Every excess ATK point increases that instance of DMG by 0.01%, up to a total of 35% max. |
Tinker-Tink, Clank, and Bang! |
Has a 10% chance to get 1 regional Character Talent Material (base material excluded) when crafting. The rarity is the same as the resulting material. |
Witch's Eve Rite: Witchseeker's Vow |
After completing TEST, Prune becomes a Hexerei character. When the party includes at least 2 Hexerei characters, you gain the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, which enhances Hexerei characters. Hexerei: Secret Rite |
Skill priority: Burst > Skill > Normal Attack
Prune looks like a Q-first unit. Her Burst is where most of the kit starts rolling: it gives her the Hunter-Seeker follow-up hits, and those hits can trigger Swirl to summon extra Banehunter Oathhammer damage that also counts as Burst DMG. That makes Burst the most reliable source of her sustained value and damage contribution. Her Skill comes next because it sets up the converted hammer hit and helps trigger Tolling Rally, which is her main team buff hook. Normal Attack is last, since nothing in the kit suggests her NA talent is the main payoff outside of niche on-field play.

Prune Weapon
5-Star
Skyward Atlas

This is probably the cleanest 5-star fit overall. Atlas gives Prune a huge 674 Base ATK, an ATK% substat, and a flat Elemental DMG Bonus, which is exactly the kind of stat line her kit wants. Even if the Normal Attack cloud passive is not the main selling point here, the raw stat stick value is huge for both her own damage and the ceiling on her team buff.
Crane’s Echoing Call

Crane’s Echoing Call is more of a premium stat-stick pick than a perfect passive match, but it still works pretty well for Prune. The huge Base ATK and ATK% substat are both great for her ATK-scaling Burst procs and team buff. The only real downside is that the passive is plunge-focused, so unless your team can actually use that part, you’re mostly picking it for the raw numbers.
4-Star
Oathsworn Eye

For a 4-star, this one fits her kit way better than it looks at first glance. Oathsworn Eye gives ATK% up front, then hands Prune Energy Recharge after using Skill, which is perfect for a character who wants to press E, enable her converted hit, and keep Burst ready every rotation. It is not the flashy high-roll option, but it supports both her ATK scaling and her uptime really cleanly.
Prune Artifact
Viridescent Venerer

2-Piece Set
Anemo DMG Bonus +15%
4-Piece Set
Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.
Viridescent Venerer fits Prune really well because her whole kit already wants to play around Swirl. Her Skill upgrades after triggering Swirl, her Burst can keep dealing AoE Anemo damage off field, and one of her passives adds extra Burst damage when that Burst triggers Swirl. On top of that, another passive gives the team Tolling Rally after her converted hammer hit lands. That means 4pc VV stacks perfectly with what she already wants to do: Swirl often, boost her own output, and shred enemy RES for the element her team is actually dealing damage with. It’s basically the most natural all-round set for her.
A Day Carved From Rising Winds

2-Piece Set
ATK +18%.
4-Piece Set
After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, gain the Blessing of Pastoral Winds effect for 6s: ATK is increased by 25%. If the equipping character has completed Witch's Homework, Blessing of Pastoral Winds will be upgraded to Resolve of Pastoral Winds, which additionally increases the CRIT Rate of the equipping character by 20%. This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.
A Day Carved From Rising Winds fits Prune well because it feeds exactly what her kit cares about most: raw ATK and steady off-field value. The 2-piece gives ATK%, and the 4-piece adds even more ATK after her attacks hit, including from off field. That matters a lot for Prune, since her extra follow-up damage scales directly from her ATK, and her team buff also gets stronger the more ATK she builds over 1,000.
Prune Pull Recommendation
Prune Constellation Overview
1. With a Vow to Seek Rescue, the Journey Begins After the Banehunter Oathhammer that has undergone Elemental Conversion hits an opponent, Prune will regain 2 Energy. This effect can occur once every 1.8s. |
2. Useful for Cleaning Messy Baggage, Elemental Powers Are Indeed During the Elemental Burst The Bell Tolls! The Hunt is On!, when the Witchlure Bell is in Hunter-Seeker mode, Prune gains the Hunt the Witch effect: Prune's ATK increases by 10%, and when the Witchlure Bell and the Banehunter Oathhammer that has undergone Elemental Conversion hits an opponent, it further increases her ATK by 5%. Prune's ATK can be increased by up to 40% in this way. |
3. The Caravan Exits the Mountain Pass, the Scenery Once More Changed Increases the Level of The Bell Tolls! The Hunt is On! by 3. The highest Level that can be reached is 15. |
4. Looking Back Following the Wind, One's Shadow Still Halved After the Banehunter Oathhammer that has undergone Elemental Conversion hits an opponent, it will ricochet and land on a nearby opponent, dealing 80% ATK as DMG of the corresponding Elemental Type. |
5. 100 Defeats? No Problem, Tomorrow, We Go Again Increases the Level of Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime by 3. The highest Level that can be reached is 15. |
6. And That's the Story! Share It With Your Friends! The duration of the Witchlure Bell's Hunter-Seeker mode from the Elemental Burst The Bell Tolls! The Hunt is On! is extended by 4s. Additionally, after party members affected by Tolling Rally trigger any Elemental Reaction, they will cause Prune and the other current active character(s) affected by Tolling Rally to gain 350 ATK for 5s. |
Pull Recommendation
Low spender: Stay at C0 unless you really want a bit more energy comfort. Prune’s base kit already gives you off-field Anemo pressure, Swirl-based follow-up damage, and a legit team buff, so she is fully playable without early cons. C1 is nice QoL, but not something I’d chase on a budget.
Sweet spot: C2 is the real value stop. It gives her a strong ATK spike during the part of her rotation that already matters most, and that is huge because both her extra damage and her team buff scale with ATK. C3 is solid too, but C2 is the clean breakpoint.
Whale: If you’re going big, C6 is the one that actually feels like a full payoff. The extra uptime plus the added ATK support makes her better at both jobs she already wants to do: personal off-field damage and team enabling. C4 is a decent bonus on the way, but C6 is the real finish line.
Prune Team Comp
Prune |
This one works because it hits basically every Varka checkbox at once. Varka wants an on-field shell with another Anemo unit, matching PHEC support, and frequent Swirls to keep his damage bonuses rolling. Nicole and Durin give him a very comfy Pyro side, while Prune adds off-field Anemo pressure and extra team buffing.
Nicole |
Durin |
Prune |
This one is a pretty natural Lohen carry setup. Lohen’s current kit wants strong teammate contribution while he stays on field, and it also rewards Cryo-based reactions, so Durin immediately makes sense as his premium partner. Nicole stacks more universal support on top without eating the whole reaction economy, and Prune rounds it out with off-field Swirl utility plus another buff layer.
Conclusion
Prune looks like one of those 4-star units in Genshin Impact 6.6 who can do a lot more than her rarity suggests. Between her Anemo utility, Swirl synergy, and ATK-scaling support tools, her build path feels pretty straightforward once you lock in the right weapon, artifacts, and rotation goals.
