Soulblazers' Snowbound Journey | Genshin Impact Version 6.2 Event Guide

It’s finally that time of year again! Genshin Impact Version 6.2 "Luna III" is officially live, and with it comes our big winter flagship event: Soulblazers' Snowbound Journey.

We’ve got a mix of hide-and-seek, racing, snowball fights, and of course, a combat challenge to test your builds. Plus, there’s a free 4-star bow up for grabs.

Here’s everything you need to know to breeze through the event and claim those rewards.

December 19, 2025, 10:00 – January 5, 2026, 03:59 (Server Time)

Event Phases & Unlock Times

Phase I: December 19, 10:00

Phase II: December 21, 04:00

Phase III: December 23, 04:00

Each phase unlocks additional story quests and new stages for the event minigames, so there’s no need to rush everything at once.

 

Participation Requirements

To unlock the event, you’ll need:

• Adventure Rank 20 or higher
• Completion of Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – “Song of the Dragon and Freedom”

For the best narrative experience, it’s recommended to finish:

• Tribal Chronicles: “A Prayer for Blessings, Told to Crested Peaks – Act III”
• Tribal Chronicles: “Mushroom Realm Mystery – Act III”

These aren’t mandatory, but they add extra context and character interactions.

 

Event Gameplay Overview

During the event, Travelers can take part in four different gameplay modes:

• Snowtrace – Snow-themed hide-and-seek in co-op
• Frontier Recon – Flying time trials with coin collection
• Jade Pitching – Snowball-throwing score challenges
• Trial of Valor – Combat challenges powered by Battle Souls

Completing these activities rewards Blazing Spirit, the event’s progression currency. As your Blazing Spirit total increases, you’ll unlock rewards such as Primogems, a Crown of Insight, the event-exclusive bow Rainbow Serpent’s Rain Bow, and its refinement materials.

You’ll also unlock Snowrealm Visitors storyline quests by meeting certain conditions, offering short character-driven stories and additional rewards.

 

Stage 1 Guide: How to Clear All Challenges and Get the 4-Star Bow

If you want to be efficient, it’s entirely possible to grab the 4-star bow on Day One just by completing all available challenges. Here’s how each mode works and what to focus on.

Snowtrace

Snowtrace plays like a winter version of Windtrace. You’ll be randomly assigned as either a Rebel (hider) or a Hunter (seeker).

Rebels need to keep an eye on the Sheer Cold meter You can reduce it by activating heat sources, but doing so risks revealing your location, so timing is key. Stay mobile, use terrain wisely, and don’t panic-activate heat unless you really need it.

Hunters should focus on controlling space and forcing Rebels into bad positions rather than chasing blindly.

Frontier Recon: Climbers Never Slip on Steep Slopes

In Frontier Recon, you pilot the Saury-Saury Scout along a fixed route. Your goal is to collect as many Adventure Coins as possible while reaching the finish line within the time limit.

Controls are simple, and the challenge mostly comes from obstacle management. Keep your movements smooth, avoid overcorrecting, and prioritize clean lines over risky detours.

Jade Pitching: Discover! The Pedantic Villain

This mode is all about throwing snowballs at different snowman targets to rack up points.

Some snowmen have special effects or bonus scoring conditions, but overall it’s very forgiving. Take your time aiming, prioritize higher-value targets, and you’ll have no trouble hitting the score cap.

Trial of Valor: Reached Flameless State

Trial of Valor is the combat-focused mode, but it’s surprisingly easy if you pick the right Battle Souls.

For Day One, set your score multiplier to x10 and use the trial characters. Recommended Battle Soul choices are:

Upper slot: Tempest – Swirl Reaction

Lower slot: Sharp Edge – Normal Attack

A simple and effective combat flow is:

Start with Durin and switch into White Dragon form

Use Bennett’s Burst

Swap to Faruzan, cast Skill and Burst

Use Durin’s Burst, followed by Venti’s Burst

Stay on-field and spam normal attacks

This setup makes it very easy to hit maximum score with minimal effort.

 

Stage 2 Guide

Frontier Recon: Shallow Waterways, Countless Obstacles

Just follow the route, scoop up the coins along the way, and focus on staying clean rather than forcing risky paths.

Watch out for obstacles, especially in tighter sections. There’s also a shield pickup midway through the course, feel free to crash into it on purpose, since it gives you some breathing room for the rest of the run.

Jade Pitching: Acquainted? The Kind-Hearted Warrior

Each direct hit scores 100 points, so accuracy matters more than speed here.

If you see a golden ring, try to throw the snowball through it before hitting the target, landing shots this way will double your score, making it much easier to hit the point requirement.

Take your time aiming. Rushing usually costs more points than it saves.

Trial of Valor: A Hundred Transformations, This Is the Essence of Dendro Core!

This is the second combat stage, and the good news is that it’s very flexible.

You don’t need a high score multiplier to clear it. Even at 1x multiplier, reaching 500,000 points is totally doable. If your account is well-built, feel free to push 10x, but lower investment players should stick to 1x and play it safe.

Buff Selection

Upper Buff: Enduring Spirit: Radiant Bloom

Lower Buff: Blazing Valor: Full Bloom

Party Setup

Bring two trial characters, plus Barbara and Collei.

Rotation Tips

With Nefer, use Elemental Skill, then follow up with a Charged Attack (hold the attack button).

Use Barbara’s Skill for consistent application.

Switch to Collei, cast Burst, then Skill.

Go back to Nefer, use Burst, then Skill → Charged Attack again.

When you see the moon icon, focus on Charged Attacks. If the moon isn’t active, stick to using Elemental Skill instead.

Follow this flow and the score racks up surprisingly fast, even on lower multipliers.

 

Stage 3 & 4 – Trial of Valor Guide

Stage 3: Trial of Valor – The Answer Is Infusion

For this stage, you can choose either 10x or 1x score multiplier. Both work fine, it really depends on how comfortable you are with your rotations and damage output.

Battle Soul Settings

Upper Buff: Enduring Spirit: Dissolution

Lower Buff: Blazing Valor: Battle Bond

Party Setup

Use the trial Arlecchino, then fill the rest of the team with your own characters:

Kaeya / Xiangling / Lynette

If Kaeya doesn’t feel great to play, you can swap him out for Xingqiu instead. Just keep in mind that if you do, you’ll want to change the upper buff to Enduring Spirit: Soaring Ascent. The idea here is simple: match your Battle Soul to the Elemental Reaction you’re triggering.

Stage 4: Trial of Valor – The Victory of the Thundercloud!

For the final stage, it’s best to keep things simple and go with a 1x score multiplier.

Battle Soul Settings

Upper Buff: Enduring Spirit: Rapid Thunder

Lower Buff: Blazing Valor: Storm Strike

Both buffs are built around Lunar-Charged reactions.

Party Setup

Bring the two trial characters:

Flins

Aino

Then add:

Barbara

Lynette (try to stack a bit more Energy Recharge on her)

Gameplay Tips

One important thing to watch for:

as soon as you see him dealing Physical damage, his elemental infusion has run out. And you’re free to swap characters.

 

Rewards Summary

Don't forget to check the event menu to claim your loot! By finishing all the Day 1 challenges, you’ll already have enough Blazing Spirit to unlock:

• Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow (The new 4-star weapon!)
• 1,120 Primogems
• Refined Heart (Weapon Refinement material)
• Various Talent and Level-up mats.
