Which character should you obtain Stella Fortuna for?
Among these eligible characters, you can only choose one character at a time and can't swap out all four constellations. After selecting a character and unlocking their constellation, you will need to move onto the next. Then, it is crucial to know which character you should prioritize when obtaining Stella Fortuna.
- Players who prefer Ganyu and Hu Tao with only their C1 likely already have it. It is a bit late to make changes now, but there is no alternative.
- Highly recommend choosing C1 Shenhe, and Yae Miko is another option.
- Characters like Ganyu, Hu Tao, Shenhe who already have their C1 upgraded can be chosen out if no better options are available.
- Players typically won’t stop pulling Nilou to C1. Once you have C1 Nilou, she would be given priority.
- If Arataki Itto and Cyno are stuck at C1, you might consider upgrading them to C2.

Level 100 Ascension
Introduction
Masterless Stella Fortuna |
|
Use “Masterless Stella Fortuna” to increase the ascension limit of any Lv. 90 character. |
|
|
*Ascension level will be increased to Lv.95/Lv.100 without the need to consume other materials. |
|
|
At the same time, after updating to Version “Luna I”, based on the number of 5-star characters you obtained in previous versions whose constellations have reached the maximum level, you will be issued the corresponding number of “Masterless Stella Fortuna”. Therefore, remember to check your inventory once you login. |
If your character A’s constellation is already at its maximum level, but you obtain 3 more-character As from the Wish Event, the excess will be converted into Masterless Starglitter x25. However, after the new version is released, Travelers will receive compensation in the form of Masterless Stella Fortuna x3! |
Influence on Character Ascension
This time, the character level cap works differently from the previous. The player can directly choose a character to upgrade to Lv. 100. Upgrading requires 3 "Masterless Stella Fortuna" (for 5-star character’s constellations), which are extremely precious for most players, so it is important to think carefully before deciding.
Since this level upgrading does not grant Elemental Burst or Skill level caps, its impact is mainly reflected in the following three aspects:
1. The character's stats receive a modest boost.
- For example, the official example of Traveler and Flins leveling up from Lv. 90 to 100 shows a 7%-8% increase in ATK, DEF, and HP. This includes a slight impact on the HP and ATK attributes of “Flower of Life” and “Plume of Death”.
- HPs are less impacted by this buff. On the field, the increase of DEF and ATK stats may see modest decrease caused by the actual team supports.
2. Some Elements Reaction damage (Electro-Charged, Swirl, Overload, Frozen, Catalyze, Bloom, Burning).
- Under the same stats, a higher character level results in stronger Elemental Reaction DMG, and the growth follows an exponential curve. From Lv. 80 to Lv. 90, the increase is 34.28%, while from Lv. 90 to Lv. 100 by 40.31%.
3. The DEF to DMG reduction ratio is affected by the level gap between the character and the enemy.
- Taking the current highest level of Genshin Impact, 110, as an example, the DMG of a character ascending from Lv. 80 to Lv. 90 will increase by 2.9%, and by 2.7% from Lv. 90 to Lv. 100.
Considering all the factors above, the upgrade priority to level 100 is:
Pure Transformative Reactions (Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon. Around +40%) > Both Transformative Reactions and Direct DMG (Catalyze / Lunar-Charged / Lunar-Bloom) > Pure Direct DMG (+5% to +10%).
The rest of the Transformative Reaction, such as Spread, Shattered, Overload, and Burning, are more for triggering the mechanism to reduce resistance or some talent effects. The actual damage caused is only a small part of the Transformative Reaction.

Conclusion
In summary, free 5-star constellations remain available—one per season, four per year—though the roster is limited and likely to grow over time. The new level 100 progression is technically accessible to everyone, but realistically, only veteran players with large character pools will benefit immediately. To fully unlock the 5-star constellations, consider topping up Genshin through LDShop.
This update is a major boost for Elemental Reaction teams but has little impact on amplifying comps like Vaporize or Melt. It marks a turning point in Genshin Impact: for the first time, Hoyoverse has introduced a permanent system that genuinely enhances character strength not just through rolling, but through long-term gameplay.
