Hello, guys! The new meta of Dune Awakening was launch recently, with shield mechanics reworked and class synergies more important than ever, knowing which weapons are best essential.
In this blog, I'll break down the top performers, from devastating shotguns to poison-tipped rifles, to help you build a loadout that dominates the dunes.
*Note: This is a starter weapon list for the newly released Dune: Awakening. I'll update it as more powerful weapons emerge.
Table of Contents
D Tier
Maula Pistol
Type: Sidearm DPS: 68 (Regis) Effective Range: 39m
The Maula is decent at the strat, however, it is pretty much the worst weapon of the bounch. You cannot use it to break the shield especially in the higher-end areas.
C Tier
Karpov 38
Type: Rifle DPS: 57 (Regis) Effective Range: 48m
It's nice to use against enemies at the start. But once you encounter shield enemies, it's really hard to take them down with Karpov 38. Even when you're full autoing, you're not going to get those shields down.
So, I would likely never take this in any Ranged capacity as there are weapons that will go on later that actually drop shields.
Kindjal
Type: Short Blade DPS: 115.4 (Regis)
This short Blade should be get rid of by Swordmaster, but I would put in in C Tier as it's not a terrible weapon. This can be really good in PvP for staggers. If you are a Melee user, this is a good one to do the heavy attacks that break the shields.

B Tier
Crysknife
Type: Short Blade DPS: 196.6 (Unfixed)
The Crysknife is super unique, it's the only single-use weapon in Dune Awakening for now. It's very powerful with high DMG and enough to one-shot almost any enemy in Verm.
While its damage is insane, its disposable nature makes it impractical for most situations. Despite its potential, it's placed in the B tier due to its limited usability.
Kaleff's Drinker
Type: Short Blade DPS: 8.1
Kaleff's Drinker is a solid weapon that can replace Kindjal and is better than the Crysknife. It deals decent damage and is guaranteed through regular play.
While it doesn't surpass the Sword in damage, especially with long blade setups, it's a good choice for those who prefer short blades. It also pierces shields like other melee weapons.
A Tier
GRDA 44
Type: Scattergun DPS: 581 (Regis) Effective Range: 8m
It's a shotgun that have high burst DMG at close range and can elimate enemies in just 2 shots. Ists strong sheild-piercing ability makese it an ideal match with the Trooper class, enabling high- mobility surprise arracks.
The only drawback is the need to get close to enemies, but this can be offset with the right moverment skills.
Sword
Type: Long Blade DPS: 12.7 (Pseudo Pulse)
This one is going to play way better with the Swordmaster as you can get some long blade DMG in your skill tree. And it can go through the shields too, you can got some nice swiping and stun mechanics with it.
With the sword, you can still get the stagger mechanics and deal more DMG than a short balde.
Jabal Spitdart
Type: Rifle DPS: 59.8 (Regis) Effective Range: 75m
The Jabal Spit Dart is a decent weapon that deals poison damage and can technically pierce shields. However, its poison tick rate is low, making it less effective in PvE compared to other options like the GRDA or Disruptor.
It might have potential in PvP, but overall, it's not as appealing for PvE due to minimal damage output.
Drillshot FK7
Type: Scattergun DPS: 185.8 (Regis) Effective Range: 66m
The Drillshot FK7 is a mid-range hybrid weapon, offering a perfect balance between burst damage and range. It excels at shield-piercing and adapts seamlessly to dynamic combat scenarios.
Whether you need to engage in close-quarters or maintain some distance, the Drillshot FK7 provides the flexibility players crave without locking them into a single range bracket.
S Tier
Disruptor M11
Type: Sidearm DPS: 53.1 (Regis) Effective Range: 10m
The Disruptor M11 is an S tier weapon that you get early on. It's a shield destroyer and decimator, dealing massive damage quickly and piercing through any enemy shields.
As an SMG, it works best in close quarters, its rapid fire makes it incredibly effective. Whether you're a Melee build or a Ranged one, the Disruptor M11 is a must-have weapon that should be on your bar at all times. It's so powerful that it might need some fine-tuning, but for now, it's a game-changer.
The Tapper
Type: Rifle DPS: 33.5 Effective Range: 52m
The Tapper is an explosive rifle that decimates shields and deals significant stagger damage, making it incredibly effective for long-distance shield destruction.
While it's slightly slower than the Disruptor in PvE, it excels in PvP due to its staggering effect and range. Shroud demonstrated its power in tournaments, securing multiple eliminations with this weapon.
