Carlotta is the first limited 5-star Glacio character introduced in version 2.0. As soon as she was released, many players were drawn to her because of her strong raw stats and scaling. It’s also worth mentioning that Carlotta’s swimsuit skin will be released in version 2.4.

When it comes to stat monster in Wuthering Waves, Carlotta is definitely one of the top names.

Most of Carlotta’s skills are single-target. Therefore, she performed poorly in multi-target battles.

Carlotta’s Playstyle&Rotation

Playstyle

Carlotta is the Main DPS and Resonance Skill damage dealer, characterized by a dynamic and damage-focused playstyle.

Carlotta obtains Moldable Crystals during combat, consumes Moldable Crystals, and restores Substance to perform damage output.

Skill Combo-Centric: Carlotta’s damage comes from chaining Skill attacks together in a fluid combo (typically up to 3 casts), which give her high mobility and cleave potential.

Plunge Attacks: She can incorporate Plunge Attacks mid-combo for burst damage, making positioning and timing key.

Liberation Mechanic: She gains access to her Liberation skill once she’s built up enough meter through combat, allowing her to reset or extend her combos.

Forte Gauge Management: Her Forte system encourages mixing Basics and Skills to maintain flow and maximize damage uptime.

Rotation

Begin the sequence with Carlotta’s Skill combo, switching out after the second use. Next, perform Changli’s 2-3-4 combo and transition to Shorekeeper to execute her 1-2-3 sequence. Return to Changli to activate her True Sight Conquest, immediately canceling it with her Skill, then switch back to Shorekeeper. Use a Basic attack followed by Forte and Liberation, and then rotate back to Changli. Trigger True Sight Conquest again, then perform an Echo swap.

After that, return to Shorekeeper and use Basic attacks 1, 2, and 3, followed by her Skill and Echo. Finish with one more Basic attack into Forte, then tag in Changli. Use True Sight Charge, cancel it with her Skill, then switch to Carlotta for a plunge attack and deploy Sentry Construct. Rotate back to Changli, activate True Sight Conquest, and follow with a Forte. Cancel that with Liberation and then perform a Forte swap back to Carlotta.

Repeat Carlotta’s Skill combo, swapping out to Changli after the second Skill to land Basic attacks 2, 3, and 4 as setup for the next cycle. Tag Carlotta back in to use Forte, unleash your stored Liberations, and repeat her Skill combo, switching out after the second Skill to Shorekeeper. This time, you can skip Sentry Construct—since, unlike Zhezhi, there’s no concern of losing any buffs on swap-out, you won’t sacrifice any damage by exiting mid-Skill 2.

 

Carlotta Skill Upgrade Priorities

Priorities：

Resonance Liberation＞Resonance Skill＞Forte Circuit＞Basic Attack=Intro Skill

Resonance Liberation & Resonance Skill: These enhance the damage of two core skills. It's recommended to level these up to the maximum.

Forte Circuit & Basic Attack: These only increase the damage of "End of the Road" and your basic attacks. It's suggested to level these up to level 8.

Intro Skill: As a Main DPS character, you generally don't need the Intro Skill. Level 1 is sufficient.

Carlotta’s damage multiplier is approximately 53% from Resonance Liberation, so upgrading Resonance Liberation should be the top priority. Next is the Resonance Skill, which account for 24% of the damage multiplier. Following that is Forte Circuit, contributing about 11% to the multiplier.

Carlotta is a single-target damage dealer, with nearly 90% of her damage coming from her Resonance Skills. Because of this, her teammates should be characters who can boost Glacio damage and Resonance Skill damage.

Zhezhi’s Chord skill increases the next character’s Glacio damage by 20% and Resonance Skill damage by 25%, which fits perfectly with Carlotta, who relies heavily on her Resonance Skills.

With Zhezhi’s strong skill and Glacio buffs, a team of Carlotta + Zhezhi + Shorekeeper forms a powerful Glacio team that ranks in the T0 tier. For many Rovers, this is their first true T0 team.

2 Set: Resonance Skill DMG + 12%

5 Set: Casting Resonance Skill grants 22.5% Glacio DMG Bonus for 15s and casting Resonance Liberation increases Resonance Skill DMG by 18%, lasting for 5s. This effect stacks up to 2 times.

This new set, Frosty Resolve, will be the perfect set to use on Carlotta.Frosty Resolve can directly increase Glacio damage and resonance skill damage, fully aligning with Carlotta's output mechanism that takes "resonance skill damage" as the core.

If you're lacking this set, then in the meantime you can definitely use the original Glacio set that all Glacio main characters would use.Although the temporary alternative Glacio set is slightly inferior, it can still provide Glacio damage bonuses, which helps improve damage.

It does have a passive buff to buff Carlotta’s Glacio damage and Resonance Skill Damage by merely equipping it.After using Resonance Liberation, a "Helldive" can be triggered to freeze enemies, combining control and damage. It is highly suitable for Carlotta's fast-paced combat style.

In terms of Echo builds, even with her signature weapon in play, 43311 double Glacio is preferred. Glacio and Attack are not far behind, but these alternate options fall off more when you do not have her weapon.

Carlotta has a built-in Debuff that reduces enemies' defense, allowing her to 100% trigger the weapon's passive (increases attack power when attacking enemies under "Debuffed" status).

Suitable for true F2P players, it is currently one of the most cost-effective 4-star weapons. Besides,it can be forged and refined to R5, with significant improvements.

Other viable 4-star weapon options (not as excellent as the above but still usable):

Conclusion

There’s something very important to keep in mind. If you have Carlotta at R0 with her signature weapon (0+1), it’s better to pull for Zhezhi first. A team with 0+1 Carlotta and Zhezhi is stronger than a 1+1 Carlotta without Zhezhi.If you already have Zhezhi and a 0+1 Carlotta, then it’s worth considering pulling for Carlotta’s R3. Her R3 gives a noticeable power boost.
