Class Tier List

Each class tier was determined based on ease of use (including rotation difficulty), damage output, ability in PvP and PvE, and resource management.

S-Tier

Warlock

Crystal of atlan Warlock

Archetype: Magister

Role: DPS

In Crystal of Atlan, the Warlock is a powerful class known for its devastating damage output in both PvP and PvE. While initially weaker, it becomes a top-tier DPS once transformed, capable of dealing incredible damage even with poor armor. The Warlock excels in close combat, using curses, shadow bolts, and draining spells to obliterate enemies. However, its playstyle demands aggressive tactics and maintaining damage buffs, as its sustainability relies on a healing buff with a long cooldown. Ideal for players who enjoy high-impact, dark magic.

Scytheguard

Crystal of atlan Scytheguard

Archetype: Puppeteer

Role: DPS/Support

The Scytheguard is a versatile support class within the Puppeteer archetype, specializing in both healing and damage. She summons a scythe-wielding Marionette that aids in combat while offering buffs and healing to allies. As the only party-wide healer and buffer, she can reduce damage, heal herself, and deal respectable AoE damage. In PvP, the Scytheguard excels by maintaining healing while executing skills, making her tough to beat. With abilities that allow quick disengagement and crowd control, she's a reliable choice for both solo and team play. Though her damage output is lower, her support capabilities are unmatched.

Berserker

Crystal of atlan Berserker

Archetype: Swordsman

Role: Tank/DPS

Berserker represents the warrior archetype, wielding a massive blade and absorbing damage to become even stronger. Known for his high DPS, the Berserker excels at dealing massive damage, especially when his health is low. His abilities allow him to debuff enemies, slowing their movement and attack speed, while he dishes out relentless damage. Although lacking in support skills, his impressive frontline dominance and PvP prowess make him an excellent choice for those who want to dominate with melee power, especially as a beginner.

A-Tier

Bounty Hunter

Crystal of atlan Bounty Hunter

Archetype: Musketeer

Role: DPS

The Bounty Hunter is a ranged damage dealer ideal for players who prefer to attack from a safe distance. Armed with guns, she excels in group combat, dealing powerful damage while swiftly moving in and out of danger. However, her fragile nature makes her vulnerable when surrounded, as she is a glass cannon. By level 60, she gains access to 14 active abilities and three finishers, including the Ultra Awakening skill. With limited slots on the active bar, players must focus on the most useful skills. Easy to learn and quick to master, the Bounty Hunter offers strong elemental damage and good range, but lacks the utility to be considered an S-tier character.

Cloudstrider

Crystal of atlan Cloudstrider

Archetype: Fighter

Role: DPS

Cloudstrider is a mobile, dynamic damage dealer who thrives on agility and versatility. Unlike the more direct Starbreaker, the Cloudstrider focuses on generating area-of-effect (AOE) damage while keeping a safe distance from enemies. Her playstyle revolves around swift movements and switching between elemental stances to exploit an enemy’s weaknesses. However, mastering this class can be challenging, as it requires effective stance rotation, and her power doesn't fully reveal itself until higher levels. While she can deal impressive damage, her lack of tankiness makes her less durable in prolonged fights.

Starbreaker

Crystal of atlan Starbreaker

Archetype: Fighter

Role:DPS

As a sub-class of Fighter, the Starbreaker is a powerhouse focused on delivering immense damage and maintaining strong durability, ideal for players who favor brute force.Unlike the agile Cloudstrider, she trades mobility for powerful close-range attacks. Her gameplay focuses on closing in to deal crushing blows and then retreating, making her effective against bosses, mobs, and in PvP when used well. The Core Engine mechanic enhances her abilities by boosting damage, adding bonus hits, and breaking armor at the cost of energy. Although her high stamina and damage output make her formidable, her slower movement and attack charge times can be a disadvantage in PvP. Still, in the front lines, the Starbreaker excels as a tough, straightforward damage dealer.

Magician

Crystal of atlan Magician

Archetype: Swordsman

Role:Support

The Magician offers a unique and visually captivating playstyle centered around illusions, deception, and crowd control. Mastering this class requires understanding its reliance on RNG, as you’ll need to cycle through cards, adapt to whatever the RNG provides, and carefully manage your rotations. While the Magician excels at support with powerful utility abilities, such as Body Double and Scary Doll—skills that allow you to confuse enemies, bait attacks, and set up combos—the class's effectiveness in dealing damage and surviving on the frontline is limited. The Magician is a fantastic support character in PvP, capable of turning the tide of battle with well-timed abilities. However, the learning curve is steep, and you’ll need to handle the unpredictability of RNG and the class’s lack of straightforward damage output to truly shine. Despite these challenges, if you can master the nuances of this class, the Magician is an enjoyable and rewarding choice.

B-Tier

Magiblade

Crystal of atlan Magiblade

Archetype: Magister

Role:DPS

The Magiblade blends magic and swordsmanship to create a fast and precise combat style. With attacks enhanced by magical energy, the Magiblade excels in maintaining speed while dealing consistent damage, making it ideal for players who enjoy quick, strategic combat. The class requires a bit more thought, as it involves optimizing cooldowns and making use of talents that offer tactical advantages, like positioning and buff management. While the Magiblade doesn’t offer the raw power of some other classes, it strikes a balance with decent mobility, damage output, and moderate tankiness. This makes it a solid choice for beginners or players who prefer a hybrid, fast-paced playstyle. However, in the late game, its versatility can feel less impactful compared to other, more specialized classes. Still, if you enjoy a smooth, fluid combat style with a bit of distance between you and the enemy, the Magiblade can be a lot of fun to play.

Elementalist

Crystal of atlan Elementalist

Archetype:Magister

Role:DPS

The Elementalist shines as a ranged class, delivering powerful AoE damage and exceptional long-range abilities. With abilities that can be cast from a distance, the Elementalist can effectively clear groups of enemies in PvE, making it an excellent choice for dealing with larger mobs. Its basic strike has an impressive range, allowing consistent hits from afar, and while some abilities can be used up close, the class isn’t entirely defenseless in close combat thanks to its dashes. However, the Elementalist’s slower casting times, limited mobility, and vulnerability to interruptions prevent it from reaching S-tier status. It thrives when backed by a team, as it’s not the best for solo play, especially against smaller or scattered enemies. Despite these weaknesses, if you’re comfortable with its stationary nature and can manage the rotation, the Elementalist offers a fun and satisfying playstyle.

Gunner

Crystal of atlan Gunner

Archetype: Musketeer

Role: DPS

Gunner is a powerhouse that compensates for its slow movement with devastating firepower. Specializing in heavy artillery, Gunner excels at clearing large groups of enemies with powerful AoE attacks. Her versatility allows her to engage from a variety of ranges—ranged, mid-range, and even melee—making her highly effective in both PvE and PvP. However, with only eight active skill slots available, players must carefully select their most useful abilities. While the Gunner shines in team settings, casting AoE abilities to devastate groups of enemies, her lack of mobility and limited skill diversity hinder her in PvP and solo content. Despite these weaknesses, many expect the Gunner to receive significant buffs in the future, as she still has potential for growth in the right hands.

Blademaiden

Crystal of atlan Blademaiden

Archetype: Puppeteer

Role: DPS

Blademaiden combines strategic puppet control with her own attacks to create a unique and powerful playstyle. She uses her Marionette to control the battlefield, positioning it to deal devastating AoE damage while attacking herself with a light whip. The Blademaiden excels at manipulating her surroundings, using a combination of skills to move both enemies and her puppet into optimal positions, setting up powerful attacks that can shred through foes. In group settings, the Blademaiden excels as a damage dealer, adding extra firepower, but her success heavily relies on her positioning and the ability to control the battlefield effectively. However, her lack of tankiness and the need for precise movement and timing make her vulnerable, especially in PvP where mispositioning can lead to being easily overwhelmed.
