P5X Upcoming Characters Banners Schedule

With the release and gradual update of Persona 5 The Phantom X together with the release of brand new 5* Persona Users like Mai and Yusuke that shakes up the game’s overall meta, many players are excited to see what Persona Users will be released in the upcoming schedule of the game.

With the help of over an entire year of contents ahead of the Global Schedule thanks to the game’s CN and TW servers, this guide will provide players with an overall review of the upcoming Persona Users that will be released in Persona 5 Phantom X upcoming update patches and advises players on the best characters to save for in order to have the best time clearing all of the game’s hardest contents.

Persona 5 The Phantom X Upcoming Banners & Characters Schedules

Please note that due to the difference in the game’s Global server and other servers’ release schedule, we will only go over the order of the upcoming character banner releases and not go in depth in the exact time frame of the banner release due to the Global server’s accelerated banner release schedule.

Mid August 2025 - Makoto Nijima & Chizuko Nagao

After the end of the current character banner featuring the 5* Limited character of Yusuke Kitagawa and the 5* Limited character Yui, the direct continuation banner will continue to introduce another one of the Persona 5 Cast into the game in the form of the 5* Limited Character Makoto Niijima, together with the 4* character Chizuko Nagao.

Makoto Niijima is a Limited reliable Nuclear DPS character with persona abilities that punishes enemies with debuffs by dealing Nuclear damage to enemies. Additionally, her persona also provides her with a support option to heal allies in a battle, helping to prolong the fight. Even in the current meta, she is only one of 3 characters in the entire game that specializes in dealing Nuclear damage.

Chizuko Nagao is a Nuclear support character with personal abilities that inflict random debuffs on enemies, allowing Makoto to take advantage of this to deal technical damage to enemies. Her random debuffs and her special Radiation debuff help boost the damage taken by enemies, allowing her to supplement the team’s damage quite well.

 

Early September 2025 - Yumi Shiina, Ayaka Sakai & Riko Tanemura

After the release of Makoto and Chizuko, players will be treated with a double banners running at the same time, featuring the Non Limited 5* Character Yumi Shiina, the 5* Limited Character Ayaka Sakai and the 4* character Riko Tanemura.

Yumi Shiina is a Non Limited navigator character with a skill kit mainly revolving around consuming her special stacks to boost the damage of 1 ally or the entire team. Additionally, her passive allows her to grant the entire party 20% of her own stats, making the entire party both offensively and defensively stronger overall.

Ayaka Sakai is a Limited Character of the support class that is considered one of the game’s best Support options. Her skill kit allows her to designate 1 ally as her supporter, increasing their attack and allowing them to do special actions outside of their own turn, helping to deal extremely high Electric damage proportional to Ayaka’s attack. Not only that, when the ally acts outside of their turn, Ayaka will also heal the ally with the least HP, making her a very versatile character to bring in any team.

Riko Tanemura is a reliable navigator character that focuses her kit on debuffing the entire enemy team while boosting the team’s damage output. Her skill kit is very reliable despite being a 4* Navigator, allowing her to massively boost the damage output of the entire team.

 

Mid To Late September 2025 - Motoha Arai (Summer) & Tomoko Noge (Summer)

At the mid to end point of September, the game should enter its special summer event period, with the release of special Summer versions of existing characters, including the release of the 5* Limited Character Motoha Arai (Summer) and the 5* Limited Character Tomoko Noge (Summer)

Motoha Arai (Summer) is one of the strongest Limited DPS characters in the game’s meta, with a HP manipulation skill kit that allows her to easily deal with large waves of enemies. Motoha Arai (Summer) excels in consuming her own HP to deal additional damage instances to enemies, then healing herself back up and increasing her damage output when she is overhealed by her abilities, making her skill kit a very strong self-sustain skill kit with the ability to deal massive amount of Bless damage to all enemies on the field.

Tomoko Noge (Summer), like Motoha Arai (Summer), is among the strongest Limited Sustain characters in the game’s meta, with a skill kit that not only deals damage to enemies, heals allies but also buffs the allies damage output when healed. Tomoko Noge (Summer)’s kit increases her damage output proportional to the amount of healing she does, while also granting her to ability to heal an ally and increase their damage dealt, helping to make her both a decently strong DPS character and a strong sustain option for various situations.

 

October 2025 - Kira Kitazato & Masaki Ashiya

From this point on in the timeline, the order of release for the upcoming characters are more or less speculations since the Global server is running on an accelerated schedule. However, with the knowledge we have, the next characters to be on banner would be the 5* Limited Character Kira Kitazato and the 5* Non-Limited Character Masaki Ashiya.

Kira Kitazato is a strong Limited DPS character that excels at dealing with individual enemies by stacking Physical damage on them and taking advantage of the Bleed debuff. Upon dealing damage and inflicting the enemies with enough Bleed debuffs, he will be able to use a special version of his skills, enhancing his damage massively.

Masaki Ashiya, despite being a Non-Limited Character, is one of the game’s best sustain characters with a skill kit that massively hinders enemies by increasing the damage they take, reducing the damage they deal while also buffing the party with powerful shield effects.

 

November 2025 - Futaba Sakura & Haru Okumura

After the banner release for original characters during October, it is more likely that the developers will group the another 2 of the Persona 5 characters to be on banners together, featuring the 5* Limited character Futaba Sakura and the 5* Limited character Haru Okumura. Please note that Futaba Sakura was originally the character to celebrate the game’s half year anniversary, so the schedule may be changed around accordingly.

Futaba Sakura is a 5* Limited Navigator that specializes in reducing enemies defenses, increasing the damage they take while also buffing allies with powerful attack buffs to maximize the party’s damage output potential. Her ability to change the enemies’ resistances also makes her stand out as one of the best Navigator characters in the game.

Haru Okumura is a Limited DPS character with a decently strong skill kit that is unfortunately overshined by other DPS options in the game due to her over-reliant on Gun attacks, making it harder to use her reliably against a lot of enemies that are resistant or immune to gun damage.

 

December 2025 - Kotone Montagne Swan, Rūna Dōgenzaka & Kasumi Yoshizawa

Based on the other servers’ schedule, the banners coming right after Haru Okumura would be the release of the 5* Limited character Kotone Montagne (Swan), the Non-Limited 5* character Rūna Dōgenzaka, followed by the Limited 5* character Kasumi Yoshizawa.

Kotone Montagne (Swan) is a 5* Limited DPS character with the ability to deal both Wind and Ice damage to enemies and inflicting them with unique debuffs that boost her own damage output when certain debuffs amount have been reached. She excels at following up allies' attacks when they deal either Wind or Ice damage to enemies.

Rūna Dōgenzaka is a Non-Limited 5* character that is considered one of the game’s best Support characters. Her skill kit is rather simple in nature, with her attacks massively reducing enemies defenses while buffing the entire team’s attack proportional to her attack stat, helping to maximize the team’s damage output.

Kasumi Yoshizawa is a Limited 5* DPS character that focuses her kit on dealing Bless damage to enemies. However, unfortunately for Kasumi, her kit is heavily outshined and out-damaged by Motoha Arai (Summer), making her less ideal to roll on if you already have Motoha Arai (Summer).

 

January 2026 - Riko Tanemura Plum & Yaoling Li Lion Dancer

To celebrate the new year and especially Lunar New Year, it would make sense for the January banner for the game to feature the 2 brand new New Year versions of existing characters, including the 5* Limited Character Riko Tanemura (Plum) and the 5* Limited Character Yaoling Li (Lion Dancer)

Riko Tanemura (Plum) is a 5* Limited Character and is considered another one of the best supports in the game. Her kit focuses around buffing a teammate’s Crit Rate and Crit Damage, making her a rare support character that boost these stats. Additionally, she also boosted the ally’s attack by a ridiculous amount proportional to their Critical damage, making her a very potent support buffer.

Yaoling Li (Lion Dancer) is a Limited DPS character and is among the best DPS characters in the game. She focuses on dealing Burn damage to enemies and dealing extra damage against enemies with burn or debuffs while also boosting her own critical rate, making her damage potential extremely high against enemies susceptible to debuffs.

 

February 2026 - Mio Natsukawa & Goro Akechi

Returning to the usual banner release schedule after new year, the next banners after should feature the Limited 5* Character Mio Natsukawa and then the Limited 5* Character Goro Akechi.

Mio Natsukawa is a Limited 5* Support character with a decently reliably skill kit. She specializes in dealing Ice technical damage to enemies, reducing their defenses and increasing the damage they take from allies.

Goro Akechi is a unique Limited DPS character that is one of the few characters of the Almighty element. He specializes in building up damage and obtaining Arrow of Clarity before consuming them to unleash a powerful blow of Almighty damage against all enemies. However, due to his slow build up skill kit, he is only decently viable in some contents in the game.

 

March 2026 - Mayumi Hashimoto, Manaka Nagao & Shoki Ikenami

To round up the original character releases and prepare for the Persona 3 Collaboration, the banners coming after Akechi should be the Non-Limited 5* Character Mayumi Hashimoto, The 5* Limited Character Manaka Nagao and the 4* Character Shoki Ikenami. Please note that since Manaka Nagao is supposed to be the game’s 1 Year Anniversary character, the schedule for her release might be changed depending on the game developers.

Mayumi Hashimoto is a 5* Non-Limited character that is among the best support characters in the game. Her skill kit grants herself and allies beneficial effects depending on different criteria, with powerful effects such as granting herself critical damage buff, granting allies barrier and increasing allies’ attack and damage dealt.

Manaka Nagao is a 5* Limited Navigator character and is considered the game’s best Navigator. She excels at massively increasing all teammate’s damage output while also having the ability to heal all allies and cleanse them off their debuffs.

Shoki Ikenami, despite being a 4* character, is on par with Mayumi Hashimoto in terms of support capability thanks to his ability to grant all allies attack and defense buffs in addition to granting special unique buffs to allies that fulfill certain conditions.

 

April 2026 - Makoto Yuki & Yukari Takeba

Afterward, to kick off the Persona 3 Reload Collaboration 1st Part, the 2 characters on rate up banners first should be the Limited 5* Character Makoto Yuki and the Limited 5* Character Yukari Takeba.

Makoto Yuki is a 5* Limited DPS character and is considered the best DPS character in the game. Makoto excels at dealing massive amounts of Fire damage to enemies and obtaining his special stack buff in order to consume them to further enhance his damage output. His skill kit is extremely consistent with high damage modifiers.

Yukari Takeba is a 5* Limited Sustain character with a decently reliable skill kit that allows her to both decrease the damage taken by allies and heal up the party by a massive amount, improving the team’s survivability massively.

 

May 2026 - Akihiko Sanada & Ichigo Shikano

And Finally, to wrap up the Persona 3 Reload collaboration event and catching up to the current CN server’s releases, the final 2 characters that will be on banner in the future that we know of will be the 5* Limited Character Akihiko Sanada and the 5* Limited Character Ichigo Shikano

Akihiko Sanada is a 5* Limited DPS character that only excels at certain contents in the game due to his very specific skill kit. He excels at dealing guaranteed critical damage to enemies and dealing extra damage to downed enemies.

Ichigo Shikano is a 5* Limited DPS character that performs relatively well that outperforms Ren Amamiya. She can deal extremely high damage with extra attacks whenever she manage to kill an enemy, allowing her to excel at dealing against mobs of low rank enemies.
