Firefly-Core Break Team

As the veteran core of Break teams, Firefly's playstyle is relatively straightforward with a clear goal: Find Firefly as soon as possible and make her stronger.

Core Team Composition

Target Formation: Firefly + Kafka + Silver Wolf + Lingsha.

Firefly

Silver Wolf

Lingsha

Excellent Transitional Picks:

  • The Planet of Festivities: Use Gallagher as filler early on.
  • Key: Once you acquire "Fugue" and Himeko, your team strength improves dramatically, allowing for a smooth early game.

  • High-Level Owned Characters: Your own well-built characters are far more effective for transitioning early on than trial characters.

Operational Rhythm & Key Decisions

1. Early Game (Levels 1-4): The goal is to survive and save coins for refreshing the shop sparingly. Use low-cost Break characters or your own high-level characters to "work."

2. Economy is Paramount: Remember the rule of 50 Coins for the maximum 5 interest. Try to save up to 50 Gold early to generate compound interest and fund your late-game rolling.

3. Level Up: Don't spend all your money rolling for low-star units too early. Level up your shop tier promptly (recommended rushing to Level 7-8). Higher-level shops have a better chance of offering core high-cost units like Firefly and Silver Wolf.

4. Rolling Timing: Once your economy is healthy (with 50 Gold saved) and you've reached Level 7-8, start using excess interest to search for Silver Wolf and Firefly. If you have the "Stellaron Hunter Contract" Investment Strategy, obtaining Silver Wolf will directly summon Firefly, achieving twice the result with half the effort.

Equipment Choice:

Aether Drill

Prioritize finding the "Aether Drill" for Firefly, as it significantly increases Break DMG. When unsure, simply click the recommended guide in the top right corner and apply the configuration for any Break team.

Investment Strategy & Environment Priority

T0 (Must-pick if seen): "Break Index Funds", "Stellaron Hunter Contract" (quickly summons Firefly).

Economy (Ensures Operation): "Regular Benefits", "Longtermism", etc. These let you reach maximum interest sooner and level up faster.

Functional: "Promotion Quota" (increases high-star unit probability) is also good.

Boothill-Core Galaxy Ranger Break Team

If the Firefly team is the stable choice, then the Boothill team is the current damage burster. His strength core doesn't come primarily from the Break synergy itself, but from a severely underrated synergy—"Galaxy Ranger."

Core Mechanics:

Excellent Personal Multipliers: Boothill's skills provide massive amounts of base Break DMG multiplier and Toughness Reduction, which are extremely scarce and valuable multipliers in Currency Wars that aren't diluted by common equipment stats.

Boothill

Galaxy Ranger Bonds: When Galaxy Ranger characters (Acheron, Boothill, Rappa) are placed Off-Field, they provide massive DMG and SPD buffs to the On-Field Galaxy Ranger. A formed 3-Galaxy Ranger bonds can easily push Boothill's SPD over 1000 and DMG buffs over 400%. He is fully operational from the start, requiring no ramp-up.Galaxy Ranger Bonds

Perfectly Suits the Mode: Currency Wars lacks external DMG buffers. The Galaxy Ranger's "Off-Field buffs On-Field" mechanism perfectly compensates for this.

Team Composition & The Revolutionary Component

Core: Boothill (On-Field DPS) + Acheron (Off-Field) + Rappa (Off-Field). Prioritize getting these three characters to high star levels.

Acheron

Boothill

Rappa

Bonds Goal: 3 Galaxy Ranger + 4/6 Break. Don't force 6-Break. The buffs provided by Galaxy Rangers far exceed those from the Break bonds itself.

The Revolutionary 4th team member— On-Field Tingyun:

Problem: Boothill's SPD is too high. Buffs from conventional supports (like Mimi from the Memory Zone) can't keep up with his action pace.

Tingyun's Solution:

Tingyun

Place Tingyun On-Field and equip her with Energy Regeneration equipment. A 2-star Tingyun can trigger her Ultimate every turn even by using Basic ATKs.

The Resulting Transformation:

Fugue

Tingyun's Ultimate advances the action of the entire team, allowing slower supports to keep up with Boothill for full buff uptime. Simultaneously, she provides high-speed Energy regeneration for the whole team, ensuring smooth rotations. She is the engine that synchronizes the entire high-speed system. Her strategic value is arguably even higher than that of an E2 Fugue.

Remaining team members: Fill for 4-Break (e.g., add a Break unit) or add a sustain unit (like Gallagher) for more safety.

Boothill Team Operation Essentials

Early Transition: You can start with a Break Emblem or use characters like Gallagher or your own high-level cards to transition, aiming to lose minimal HP and stabilize your economy.

Rolling Rhythm: The core rolling phase is at Level 7. Here, you go all-in to find 2-star Boothill, Acheron, and 3-star Lingsha.

Core Equipment: Boothill's best-in-slot gear is the "Wormhole Drill" (synthesized from 2 Aether Drill), which greatly enhances Break Effect.

Wormhole Drill

Flexible Adaptation: If Lingsha's star level is too low, you can replace her in the late game with powerful 5-cost standalone units like Welt. Don't stubbornly stick to a fixed formation.

General Tips & Mindset

1. Utilize Your Own Characters: Characters you've built yourself inherit their Eidolons and Light Cones, making them significantly stronger than trial characters. Using them early gives you a huge advantage.

2. Reroll the Start: If you want to force a specific team (like a Break team), you can try rerolling the start until you get core strategies like "Break Concept Stock" or "Stellaron Hunter Contract," which greatly reduces the difficulty.

3. Don't Fear Defeat: Early HP is a resource. Using it to gain an economic advantage is an advanced tactic. As long as you aren't wiped out, you have a chance to comeback.

Manage Your Goals: If you're not pursuing extreme challenges, reaching A5 is sufficient to claim the vast majority of rewards. Break teams are fully capable of achieving this goal comfortably.

Conclusion

This Break Team playstyle, centered around Boothill or Firefly, embodies the essence of mastering the art of "Investment and Explosion." It demands keen economic insight, accurate valuation of characters, and decisive resource allocation in the moment. The entire process perfectly mirrors the nature of "Currency Wars"—you lay a stable foundation early, accumulating initial capital (HP and Gold), invest heavily in core assets (Firefly/Boothill, key synergies) mid-game, and finally, through efficient "capital operations" (Galaxy Ranger buffs / Break chains), detonate all accumulated investments, reveling in the unparalleled thrill of clearing the screen with billions of damage and harvesting the entire market.
