Welcome to HSR 4.0’s “Cosmicon, Roll On!”—the event that turns Planarcadia’s card scene into a full-on dice-fueled ego check. Event Basics

Event Period

After Version 4.0 update → 2026/03/23 03:59 (server time). After it ends, it moves to Conventional Memoir (you can still play the gameplay, but limited-time rewards stop).

Participation

Trailblaze Level ≥ 21. You can start early via Finality’s Vision (spoiler warning), and the game recommends completing “Planarcadia — The Indifference of Those Who Yet Live” first.

Where it stays later

After the limited-time period, you can still go to Dovebrook District and talk to “Golden Youth” to access the event and claim permanent rewards.

 

Gameplay of Cosmicon, Roll On!

Think of Cosmicon Collective as a fast tabletop duel built around character cards + dice. Before a match, you pick a card you own to enter the duel. That card comes with dice, and the dice decide how strong your turn is. You roll, compare totals, and the match flips turns back and forth—you attack, they defend; then they attack, you defend—until someone’s HP hits zero.

The core idea is super clean: each turn is basically “roll to set your power,” then use that power to either punch through their defense or absorb their hit. As the duel goes on, Weather effects start showing up and can affect both sides, so you’re not just gambling on rolls—you’re also playing around whatever the field is doing that round.

Winning isn’t just for bragging rights. Every match pushes your progression: you gain Experience Level and earn tokens, then you spend those tokens to expand your options—more character cards, better dice, and upgrades like Gilding your cards. The more your collection grows, the more consistent your rolls and synergies become, and the smoother the later fights feel.

 

Core Mechanism

Card-Tied Dice
In Cosmicon Collective, dice are part of your card’s kit, not generic RNG. Each character card brings its own dice set (like 2 purple d6 + 3 blue d4), shaping both your ceiling and consistency. Rerolls are a core skill: higher-max dice naturally give better odds of big numbers. Some cards can also Level Up dice when you meet conditions (example: all selected dice are even), and the tutorial shows a clear upgrade path—Blue d4 → Purple d6 → Orange d8 → Shining Dodecahedron—so you’re building toward stronger swings over time.

Prismatic Tech
When rolls go ugly, Prismatic Dice are your stabilizers and spikes. They can provide fixed values or special effects (example: a die that effectively always rolls 6), turning “hope” turns into “planned” turns. You earn post-match currency to redeem more cards and Prismatic Dice—shown as Victorious Power Tokens—so the loop is play → earn → upgrade → play cleaner.

Pattern Combos
This mode rewards pattern-hunting, not just high rolls. Cards care about triggers like odd/even themes, matching sets, all-same/all-different, or multiple pairs. Hit the right pattern and you can snowball. For example, landing two matching sets can trigger a combo and grant one extra attack that cycle.

 

Stages / Modes

The event is structured around progression battles (Story Battle) first, then opens up into social/PvP play once you’ve advanced far enough.

You’ll start by running through the event’s story progression where you face off against familiar companions in Cosmicon Collective battles. These duels are your main “chapters”: beat opponents, gain EXP/tokens, unlock more tools, and keep pushing forward until you’ve cleared the full event track.

As you progress, you’ll also be able to seek out duels on Planarcadia’s streets—basically more places to find fights and keep your momentum going (great when you just want more matches without waiting on story beats).

Then comes the fun part: after the story reaches a certain point, you unlock Free Co-op, where you can either match random players or duel friends using the character cards you’ve collected. Friend duels are for vibes and practice—they don’t award rank points—while random matches are where you climb.
