Hi, Trailblazers! Himeko • Nova is coming to Honkai: Star Rail as a 5-star Fire Erudition character, and her kit is very different from regular AoE DPS units. Instead of only relying on her own turns, she brings a team-wide Assist Skill system, buffs allies through her special state, and turns Trailblaze Companion teammates into the core of her rotation.
Note: this guide is based on current beta information and may change after her official launch.

Himeko Nova Overview

Rarity: 5-Star | Path: Erudition | Type: Fire
Himeko Nova’s main gimmick is the Starblazer Visioscape. After entering combat, she deploys Starblazer and grants all allies access to an Assist Skill. When allies use this Assist Skill, Himeko gains strong offensive buffs, including All-Type RES PEN and CRIT DMG, and the attack can reduce Toughness regardless of enemy Weakness Type.
Himeko Nova Skill Priority
Talent / Assist Skill > Ultimate > Skill > Basic ATK
Himeko Nova’s value comes mostly from her Assist Skill system and Ultimate cycle, so those should be the first parts to invest in. Her Skill is also important because it gives her Navigator’s Semaphore, restores Assist Skill uses, and increases party DMG while the state is active. Her Basic ATK is the lowest priority unless future testing shows that Assist Skill scaling is directly tied to it.
Himeko Nova Kit
Basic ATK
Enkindle the First Lodestar
Deals Fire DMG equal to 100% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one enemy.
Skill
Uprise the Vanward Cresset
After using Skill, Himeko • Nova gains "Navigator's Semaphore," lasting for 3 turn(s). At the start of each of Himeko • Nova's turn, the duration is reduced by 1. When Himeko • Nova has "Navigator's Semaphore," she immediately regains all uses of Assist Skill. DMG dealt by all allies increases by 30%. At the start of every turn, immediately regains 1 use of Assist Skill.
Ultimate
We, Too, Stride the Stars
Immediately pilots Starblazer. Starblazer can launch "Hyperluminal Particle Beam" against enemies 6 times, or consume "Source Energy" to launch "Orbital Annihilation Pulse".
When the uses of "Hyperluminal Particle Beam" are depleted, automatically launches "Orbital Annihilation Pulse," followed by a Final Hit, dealing 3 instances of DMG, with each instance dealing Fire DMG equal to 100% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to a random single enemy.
When using "Hyperluminal Particle Beam" or "Orbital Annihilation Pulse" deals fatal damage to all enemies on the field, or when enemy HP can no longer be reduced, immediately launches the Final Hit.
Hyperluminal Particle Beam
Deals Fire DMG equal to 30% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies and gains 1 point(s) of "Source Energy". A maximum of 3 "Source Energy" can be held.
Orbital Annihilation Pulse:
Consumes 1 point of "Source Energy" to deal Fire DMG equal to 20% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies. When current "Source Energy" is 1 point or more, for every 1 point(s) of "Source Energy" consumed, additionally deals 1 instance of Fire DMG equal to 40% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one random enemy.
Talent
Of Fire and Far Faring
When Himeko • Nova is on the field, she immediately deploys the Territory "Starblazer Visioscape", and "Starblazer" appears on the field, granting the Assist Skill to all allies. Using the Assist Skill is considered as using a Skill.
When an ally actively uses the Assist Skill, it consumes 1 Assist Skill use, increasing Himeko • Nova's All-Type RES PEN by 20% and CRIT DMG by 50%. Her attacks can ignore Weakness Types to reduce enemy Toughness. When Breaking Weakness, triggers the Fire Weakness Break effect.
Technique
Starcharter Cruise
When Himeko • Nova is in the team, increases max Technique Points by 3.
After using the Technique, she enters the "Cruise" state lasting for 30 seconds. Actively using the Technique consumes 2 Technique Points and immediately attacks all enemies within a certain range. After entering combat, immediately uses Skill 1 time at the start of each wave.
If attacking a Normal Enemy, immediately defeats them without entering combat. No Technique Points are consumed if no enemies are hit.
Basic ATK
Trailblaze, By Your Side
Deals Fire DMG equal to 200% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies, and deals 3 extra instances of DMG, with each instance dealing Fire DMG equal to 30% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to a random single enemy. When used by Himeko • Nova, deals Fire DMG equal to 250% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies, and deals 4 extra instances of DMG, with each instance dealing Fire DMG equal to 40% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to a random single enemy.
If the user is a Trailblaze Companions character other than Himeko • Nova, Himeko • Nova will gain either the "Companion Protocol: Verdict" or "Companion Protocol: Decimation" state depending on the user.
The extra Assist Skill triggered by the "Companion Protocol: Verdict" or "Companion Protocol: Decimation" Status Effect can be triggered up to 2 time(s) per Combat, and the trigger count is refreshed after Himeko • Nova uses her Ultimate.
Companion Protocol: Verdict
Enters the "Companion Protocol: Verdict" state. When Himeko • Nova deals Ultimate DMG, increases CRIT DMG by 100%. After Himeko • Nova's teammates use their Ultimate actively 2 time(s), Himeko • Nova immediately launches 1 Assist Skill against an enemy at no cost, and Himeko • Nova additionally regenerates @P10 Energy.
Companion Protocol: Decimation
Enters the "Companion Protocol: Decimation" state. Increases all allies' CRIT DMG by 80%, and additionally increases the CRIT DMG dealt by Skills by @PI0. For every 1 enemy target hit by an ally, gains 1 point of Charge. When Charge reaches 9 points, consumes all Charge, and Himeko • Nova immediately launches 1 Assist Skill against the enemy at no cost. This Instance of Assist Skill cannot gain Charge.
Traces
WHITHER, THE LAST AND FIRST MEN?
When Himeko • Nova's Assist Skill can be used while during her turn, using Assist Skill does not consume Assist Skill uses.
HARK! THE EXPRESS'S PULSE ROARS
When a Trailblaze Companion character other than Himeko • Nova actively uses an Assist Skill, that character immediately gains 1 extra turn during which they can use their Ultimate. An extra turn gained from an Assist Skill will not repeatedly trigger this Trace effect.
THE SILVER RAIL, HUSHED IN ANTIQUITY
When using Ultimate, immediately gains 3 point(s) of "Source Energy." When using the "Orbital Annihilation Pulse" attack, if current "Source Energy" is 3 points or more, the DMG multiplier of "Orbital Annihilation Pulse" against random single enemies increases by 40%.

Best Himeko Nova Eidolons to Pull
Best Value: E0S1
For most players, E0S1 should be the best stopping point. Himeko Nova’s signature Light Cone directly supports her core gameplay by boosting ATK, Assist Skill DMG, Ultimate DMG, and DEF Ignore when the team meets its Trailblaze Companion requirement. Since her whole kit is built around Assist Skill usage and Ultimate damage, her Light Cone gives a cleaner overall upgrade than chasing early Eidolons first.
Best Early Eidolon: E1
E1 is a good early upgrade, especially if you plan to use Himeko Nova with Trailblaze Companion teammates. It makes both Companion Protocol effects easier to trigger and gives her extra Assist Skill damage value. However, it is more of a consistency and damage upgrade rather than a full playstyle change.
If you are choosing between E1 and S1, S1 is usually the safer pick first.
Recommended Pull Order: E0 > S1 > E1 > E2 > E6
For most players, stop at E0S1. If you really like Himeko Nova and want a smoother rotation, go for E1S1. If you want her best realistic high-investment setup, E2S1 is the point to aim for. E3, E4, and E5 are not recommended stopping points unless you are going for E6.
Conclusion
That’s the early Himeko Nova build guide. Based on her current kit, she is a Fire Erudition DPS centered on Assist Skills, Starblazer, Source Energy, and Trailblaze Companion synergy. For pre-farming, focus on Credits, EXP books, Fire ascension materials, Erudition trace materials, and Tracks of Destiny first.
