Hi, Trailblazers! Himeko • Nova is joining Honkai: Star Rail as a 5-star Fire character following the Path of Erudition. Unlike a standard AoE DPS, she deploys Starblazer, gives the entire team access to an Assist Skill, and gains different effects depending on which Trailblaze Companion uses it.
Her kit looks complicated at first, but the basic idea is simple: keep her Skill buff active, use the Assist Skill whenever possible, choose the right Companion Protocol for the fight, and build toward her large Ultimate damage window.
This guide covers Himeko • Nova’s latest build, including her best Light Cones, Relics, Planar Ornaments, teams, stats, materials, Eidolons, and general rotation.
Himeko • Nova Overview

Rarity: 5-Star | Path: Erudition | Type: Fire
Himeko • Nova is an ATK-scaling damage dealer who performs best with at least one other Trailblaze Companion. Her Talent deploys the Starblazer Visioscape Territory and grants the party an additional Assist Skill.
The Assist Skill uses Himeko’s stats for its damage calculation and is treated as Himeko using a Skill. It can also reduce Toughness regardless of the enemy’s Weakness Type, making her less dependent on matching elemental weaknesses.
Himeko • Nova Skill Priority
Talent / Assist Skill > Ultimate > Skill > Basic ATK
Himeko • Nova’s value comes mostly from her Assist Skill system and Ultimate cycle, so those should be the first parts to invest in. Her Skill is also important because it gives her Navigator’s Semaphore, restores Assist Skill uses, and increases party DMG while the state is active. Her Basic ATK is the lowest priority unless future testing shows that Assist Skill scaling is directly tied to it.
Himeko • Nova Kit
Basic ATK
Enkindle the First Lodestar

Deals Fire DMG equal to 140% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one enemy.
Skill
Uprise the Vanward Cresset

After using Skill, immediately regains all uses of Assist Skill and Himeko • Nova gains "Navigator's Semaphore," lasting for 3 turn(s). At the start of each of Himeko • Nova's turn, the duration is reduced by 1. When Himeko • Nova has "Navigator's Semaphore," DMG dealt by all allies increases by 25%. At the start of every turn, immediately regains 1 use of Assist Skill.
Ultimate
We, Too, Stride the Stars

Immediately takes control of Starblazer. Starblazer can launch 'Hyperluminal Partide Beam against enemies 6 times, or consume "Source Energy" to launch "Orbital Annihilation Pulse," dealing Fire DMG up to 9.525 of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one designated enemy, and Fire DMG up to 315% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to other targets.
When the uses of "Hyperluminal Particle Beam" are depleted, automatically launches "Orbital Annihilation Pulse, followed by Final Hit, dealing 3 instance(s) of DMG, with each instance dealing Fire DMG equal to 1 of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one random enemy.
When "Hyperluminal Particle Beam" or "Orbital Annihilation Pulse" deals fatal damage to all enemies on the field, or when enemy HP can no longer be reduced, immediately launches Final Hit.
Hyperluminal Particle Beam
Deals Fire DMG equal to 40% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies and gains 1 point(s) of "Source Energy. A maximum of 3 "Source Energy can be held.
Talent
Of Fire and Far Faring
While Himeko • Nova is on the field, immediately deploys the Territory "Starblazer Visioscape," causing a "Starblazer" to appear on the field and granting all ally characters 1 Assist Skill usage. Ally characters can use the Assist Skill to
command the "Starblazer" to attack enemies.
Using the Assist Skill is considered as Himeko • Nova using her Skill. Himeko • Nova's All-Type RES PEN increases by 25% and CRIT DMG increases by 100%. Attacks can ignore Weakness Types to reduce enemy Toughness. When
Weakness is Broken, triggers the Fire Weakness Break effect.
When an ally character other than Himeko • Nova uses the Assist Skill, they regenerate 4 Energy.
Technique
Starcharter Cruise
When Himeko • Nova is in the team, increases max Technique Points by 3.
After using the Technique, she enters the "Cruise" state, lasting for 30 seconds. Actively using the Technique consumes 2 Technique Points and immediately attacks all enemies within a certain range. After entering combat, immediately uses Skill 1 time at the start of each wave.
If attacking a Normal Enemy, immediately defeats them without entering combat. No Technique Points are consumed if no enemies are hit.
Basic ATK
Trailblaze, By Your Side
Deals Fire DMG equal to 200% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies, and deals 3 extra instances of DMG, with each instance dealing Fire DMG equal to 30% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one random enemy. When used by Himeko • Nova, deals Fire DMG equal to 250% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies, and deals 4 extra instances of DMG, with each instance dealing Fire DMG equal to 39% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to one random enemy.
If used by a Traiblaze Companions character other than Himeko • Nova, Himeko • Nova will additionally gain 1 of the Special Effects depending on the user.
The extra Assist Skill triggered by all Special Effects can be triggered up to 2 time(s) per battle, and the trigger count is reset after Himeko • Nova uses her Ultimate.
Companion Protocol: Verdict
Enters the "Companion Protocol: Verdict' state. Increases DMG dealt by Himeko • Nova by 1.25, and additionally increases her Ultimate DMG dealt by 125%. After Himeko • Nova's teammates actively use their Ultimate 2 time(s), Himeko • Nova immediately launches 1 Assist Skill against the enemy at no cost.
Companion Protocol: Decimation
Enters the "Companion Protocol: Decimation" state. Increases all allies' CRIT DMG by 1.25, and additionally increases the CRIT DMG dealt by Skills by 125%. Gains 1 point of Charge for each enemy target hit by an ally. When Charge reaches 9 points, consumes all Charge, and Himeko • Nova immediately launches 1 Assist Skill against the enemy at no cost. This instance of Assist Skill cannot gain Charge.
Traces
WHITHER, THE LAST AND FIRST MEN?
When Himeko • Nova uses her Assist Skill, it does not consume Assist Skill uses. At the start of the turn, if the current Assist Skill uses equal the current maximum limit, Himeko • Nova additionally regenerates 5 Energy.
HARK! THE EXPRESS'S PULSE ROARS
When a Trailblaze Companions character other than Himeko • Nova uses an Assist Skill, that character immediately gains 1 extra turn during which they can use their Ultimate. An extra turn gained from an Assist Skill will not repeatedly trigger this Trace effect.
THE SILVER RAIL, HUSHED IN ANTIQUITY
When using Ultimate, immediately gains 3 point(s) of "Source Energy." If current "Source Energy" is 3 point(s) or more, when using the "Orbital Annihilation Pulse" attack, the DMG multiplier of "Orbital Annihilation Pulse" against random single enemies increases by 30%.

Best Himeko • Nova Light Cones
A Star That Lights the Night

HP 846 | ATK 635 | DEF 529
Himeko’s signature Light Cone is her strongest overall option. At S1, it provides:
- 32% DEF Ignore for all damage.
- 6 Energy after Himeko uses an Assist Skill.
- One stack of Sail after using an Assist Skill, lasting two turns and stacking three times.
- 20% Assist Skill DMG per Sail stack.
- At three Sail stacks, 20% Ultimate DMG per stack.
The Light Cone directly improves both of her main damage sources while also helping her reach the next Ultimate faster. It is a particularly large upgrade because her alternative Light Cones do not provide the same combination of DEF Ignore, Energy and damage bonuses.

Other Light Cone Options
|
Light Cone |
Use |
|
Today Is Another Peaceful Day
|
A reliable Nameless Glory option. Himeko’s 150 Max Energy allows it to provide a large unconditional DMG bonus without requiring kills or specific enemy counts. |
|
Night on the Milky Way
|
A strong standard 5-star option for stages with several enemies. Its value rises when Himeko can maintain the ATK stacks and frequently break enemy Toughness. It is especially comfortable in Pure Fiction and other wave-based content, but it becomes less consistent against one or two targets. |
|
Into the Unreachable Veil
|
This is the best premium alternative for players who already own it. It provides CRIT Rate and gives a large Skill and Ultimate DMG bonus after Himeko uses her Ultimate. Since her Assist Skill counts as Skill DMG and her Ultimate costs 150 Energy, she can use all parts of its effect. |
|
Eternal Calculus
|
The best widely available free 5-star option. It provides ATK and gains additional value when Himeko attacks several enemies at once. |
Best Himeko • Nova Relics
|
As Navigator Isee Sees It
|
This is Himeko’s best Relic set. 2-Piece: Increases ATK by 12%. 4-Piece: When the wearer enters combat or uses a Skill, Skill and Ultimate DMG increase by 18%, stacking up to three times. One stack is removed at the start of the wearer’s turn or after using an Ultimate. Himeko can activate the set consistently because her Assist Skill is treated as using a Skill. The bonuses also match her two main damage sources, making this the most complete set for her. |
|
Wavestrider Captain
|
Wavestrider Captain is a reasonable alternative when Himeko is paired with teammates who repeatedly target her with abilities, such as Sunday, Sparkle, or Remembrance Trailblazer. It gives CRIT DMG from its 2-piece effect and can provide a large ATK increase before her Ultimate. However, it requires more careful team building and is less universally reliable than As Navigator Isee Sees It. |
Best Planar Ornaments
Fallen Star Anchorage
This is Himeko’s default best Planar Ornament.
2-Piece: Increases CRIT Rate by 8%. When entering combat, if the wearer and another teammate are both Trailblaze Companions, the wearer gains 32% CRIT DMG.
The condition is easy to meet because Himeko already wants at least one Trailblaze Companion to activate Verdict or Decimation.

Substat Priority
CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > ATK% / SPD
Himeko gains considerable CRIT DMG from her Talent, Planar Ornament, Decimation and several common teammates. CRIT Rate is therefore usually the harder stat to obtain.
Aim for close to 100% CRIT Rate during battle, but remember to include temporary buffs from teammates before finalizing the build.
Recommended Stat Goals
|
Stat |
Recommended Target |
|---|---|
|
ATK |
3,600–4,200+ |
|
SPD |
98 in action-advance teams |
|
CRIT Rate |
90%–100% in battle |
|
CRIT DMG |
120%–160%+ |
These are reference targets rather than strict requirements. A build with Himeko’s signature Light Cone and strong Relics may exceed 4,000 ATK, while F2P builds can perform well below that point.
ATK Boots are normally preferred because Sunday, Remembrance Trailblazer and other supports can advance her action. Speed Boots are mainly for teams without reliable action advance or for builds targeting a specific SPD breakpoint.
ATK Rope is also preferred. Part of Himeko’s Energy economy comes from Assist Skill effects that do not fully benefit from Energy Regeneration Rate, so an ERR Rope often sacrifices too much damage. ERR remains usable in teams already providing a large amount of external ATK.

Flexible Verdict Team

|
Himeko • Nova |
Sparkle |
This is the most comfortable all-purpose team for Himeko • Nova. It is not tied to a particular enemy lineup or stage mechanic, performs well in most content, and can be left on auto without requiring careful skill timing.
Sunday and Sparkle provide frequent turns and strong offensive buffs, while Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae handles the team’s survival. The two support slots are also flexible: you can choose any two from Sunday, Sparkle, and Trailblazer (Remembrance) based on which characters you own and which ones are already needed by another team.
For most players looking for a stable Himeko • Nova lineup that works across different modes, this is the safest team to build.
Welt Decimation Team

Himeko • Nova |
Welt |
Sparkle |
This lineup uses Welt to activate Decimation and generate its required stacks through his multi-hit attacks. Sparkle supplies action advance and offensive buffs, while Huohuo provides healing and helps the team maintain a smoother Ultimate rotation.
The team becomes noticeably more comfortable when Welt is E2 or higher. His improved rotation makes it easier to keep attacking, build Decimation stacks, and trigger Himeko • Nova’s additional Assist Skills.
An E0 Welt can still be used, but the team may feel slower and require more careful management.
Beginner-Friendly Team

Himeko • Nova |
March 7th (Preservation) |
Trailblazer (Remembrance) |
Natasha |
This is a practical setup for newer players who do not yet have many limited 5-star characters. March 7th (Preservation) can activate Decimation, while Natasha provides additional healing when March’s shields alone are not enough.
Running two defensive characters lowers the team’s damage, but it makes early progression much safer. Once your characters are properly built, or after obtaining a stronger 5-star sustain, you will no longer need both defensive slots.
There are several ways to upgrade this team as your account develops:
- After obtaining Bronya, use Trailblazer (Remembrance) + Bronya to build a Verdict-focused team.
- After obtaining Welt, place him in the team to activate Decimation more reliably.
- Without Welt, March 7th (Preservation) can continue serving as the Decimation enabler.
- When March cannot keep the team alive by herself, keep Natasha as the second sustain.
- After obtaining a 5-star sustain such as Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, Luocha, or Fu Xuan, replace Natasha with that character and switch March 7th from Preservation to The Hunt for more damage.
The beginner lineup is mainly intended to help new accounts clear content safely. As soon as your sustain and Relic quality improve, replacing the second defensive character with a buffer or damage dealer will give Himeko • Nova a much higher damage ceiling.
Himeko • Nova Eidolons

|
E1 |
That Which We Stride Is the Trailblaze |
Increases the number of times the Talent triggers the extra Assist Skill effect by 1. When in the "Companion Protocol: Verdict" state, the number of Ultimate uses required to launch the Assist Skill is reduced by 1. When in the "Companion Protocol: Decimation" state, the Charge required to launch the Assist Skill is reduced by 3. When Himeko • Nova launches the Assist Skill, the number of times the extra DMG effect is triggered increases by 1. This is a strong upgrade for both modes and improves the frequency of her main attack. |
|
E2 |
The Colors We Never Strike |
Max uses of Himeko • Nova's Assist Skill increase to 2, and DMG dealt by Ultimate and Assist Skill becomes 130% of their original DMG. At the start of each turn in the "Navigator's Semaphore" state, immediately recovers 1 extra Assist Skill use. Trace "Hark! The Express's Pulse Roars" effect: When characters other than Trailblaze Companions use Assist Skill, they also gain 1 extra turn. |
|
E3 |
We Who Are Starborn Muses Starward |
Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. |
|
E4 |
Let No Skywand Hand Stay Unheed |
When using the Assist Skill from Talent "Of Fire and Far Faring," the All-Type RES PEN increase effect applies to all allies. When Himeko • Nova gains this effect, her All-Type RES PEN increases by an additional 10%. |
|
E5 |
To Cross the Cosmos and Beyond |
Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15. |
|
E6 |
Ours Is the Oath to Sail Starward |
Himeko • Nova's Fire Type RES PEN increases by 20%. Max "Source Energy" increases to 6 point(s), and when an ally uses or triggers an Assist Skill, DMG dealt by the Assist Skill increases by 75%, and Himeko • Nova gains 1 point of "Source Energy". When launching a "Hyperluminal Particle Beam" attack during Ultimate, additionally gains 1 point of "Source Energy". When launching "Orbital Annihilation Pulse," if the current "Source Energy" is 6 point(s) or more, additionally deals Fire DMG equal to 160% of Himeko • Nova's ATK to all enemies 1 time. E6 greatly strengthens both her Assist Skill and Ultimate. |
Himeko • Nova Pull Priority
A simple investment path is:
E0S0 → E0S1 or E1S0 → E2S0 → E2S1 → E6S1
For most players:
- E0S0 is enough to use her complete core playstyle.
- E0S1 is the safest first upgrade because the signature Light Cone improves damage and Energy generation.
- E1S0 provides more free Assist Skill triggers and smoother Protocol activation.
- E2S1 is the best realistic high-investment stopping point.
- E6S1 is for dedicated Himeko players.
When choosing between E1 and S1, the signature Light Cone is generally the more universal upgrade. Players who already own a strong alternative such as Into the Unreachable Veil can consider E1 first instead.
Conclusion
That’s the early Himeko • Nova build guide. Based on her current kit, she is a Fire Erudition DPS centered on Assist Skills, Starblazer, Source Energy, and Trailblaze Companion synergy. For pre-farming, focus on Credits, EXP books, Fire ascension materials, Erudition trace materials, and Tracks of Destiny first.
