What's more, the new version will introduce a brand-new Path. Considering that Sparkle's current kit doesn't quite fit the new version's meta, it seems highly likely that she will receive a new Path and an SP form!

Sparkle SP Hanami Overview

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Path: Elation | Element: Fire

Hanami, the newly announced Sparkle SP in Version 4.0, she is set to debut as Honkai: Star Rail's first 5-star DPS character following the Path of Elation, with leaks indicating her release in the second half of the 4.0 update.

According to leaked details, Hanami functions as a powerful hyper-carry who unleashes massive damage by consuming multiple Skill Points in a single turn—a mechanic that may feel familiar to players who have used Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae.

Her ideal support is rumored to be the original Harmony version of Sparkle, creating a unique and potent combination on the battlefield.

Beyond her combat mechanics, Hanami's character design portrays her as a Japanese high school student who also works as a virtual streamer, seamlessly aligning with Edo Star's vibrant and digitally infused aesthetic. We can see her signature Relic in Version 3.7.

2P Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 16%. If 3 or more Skill Points are consumed in the same turn, additionally increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 32% for 3 turns.

Sparkle SP Hanami Kit

Hanami's Skill is highly unique, featuring three distinct modes that vary based on the number of Skill Points consumed.

Skill

• Mode 1 (Consumes 4 Skill Points): Hanami increases her damage by a certain percentage and executes a Blast attack. This attack subsequently ignores up to 100% of the enemy's DEF or corresponding Resistance. Hanami gains 10 stacks of BIKURI Mark.
• Mode 2 (Consumes 8 Skill Points): Hanami increases her damage by a certain percentage and executes an AoE attack against random enemies, accompanied by an additional Blast strike. Like the first mode, this attack also ignores 100% of the enemy's DEF or Resistance and grants 30 stacks of BIKURI Mark.
• Mode 3 (Consumes 12 Skill Points): If Hanami consumes 12 Skill Points when using her Skill, she increases her damage by a certain percentage and executes an AoE attack. If her total BIKURI Mark stacks exceed 50, the excess stacks are consumed to unleash an additional attack, dealing AoE Fire DMG to all enemies and ignoring 100% of their DEF or Resistance.

 

Talent

When Hanami is in the party, the maximum number of Skill Points is increased to 6. For every 2 Skill Points consumed, Hanami gains additional stacks of BIKURI Mark. Whenever Skill Points are consumed by other characters, Hanami's CRIT DMG increases by a certain value per consumption. If there are 2 or 3 characters following the Path of Elation or specific related characters in the party, each of them will gain additional BIKURI Mark stacks per turn.

Ultimate

Hanami creates a domain and executes an AoE attack against all enemies, dealing Fire DMG. A BIKURI Box is generated behind enemy positions.

It triggers every time an ally performs a Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, Follow-up Attack, or Charge Attack. Each instance of damage ignores 100% of the enemy's DEF or Resistance and regenerates 4 Skill Points for the team.

 

Unique Passive

When Hanami is in the party, all allies' DMG increases based on the total number of accumulated BIKURI Marks. All allies gain the Lucky Surprise status, which enhances their abilities:

• Characters following the Path of The Hunt have their Skills changed to the Blast type.
• Follow-up Attack abilities can trigger up to three consecutive attacks without requiring a charge.
• Shield-type abilities gain Counter DMG.

This effect can be triggered once per character per turn and reactivates afterward. The effect is deactivated if Hanami is defeated.
