Gen3 Tier List Overview

Before checking the tier list, we have to understand that in Kingshot, the age of your server determines the hero generations available: 1st-gen servers are under 40 days old, 2nd-gen over 40 days, 3rd-gen over 120 days, and 4th-gen soon to be over 200 days. New heroes roll out every ~80 days (5-6 Lucky Wheels), making newer heroes generally stronger and altering rosters, while amazing heroes on early-gen servers may underperform on later-gen ones.

Thus, this Tier List covers all the heros from Gen1-Gen3, so no matter if you are a beginner, you could always get some advice from the chart.

Heroes are ranked according to their overall strength, and in general, those from more recent generations (Gen 3 > Gen 2 > Gen 1) and higher rarity tiers (SSR > SR > R) typically outperform older and less rare counterparts.

Tips：We have to claims that upgrading all characters evenly is effective, but the truth is that concentrating resources on cultivating main characters is far more efficient. It is recommended to select 3–4 core characters for priority development, ensuring the team maintains a stable growth trajectory. A standard early-game team composition consists of 1 Infantry unit, 2 cavalry units, and 2 archer units. When it comes to hero skills, avoid haphazard investments—instead, choose one hero for each class (Infantry, cavalry, archer) and focus all upgrades on these selected characters for the most reliable progression.

Amadeus is an Infantry Hero for the P2W Players after vip7, he has a really high HP and solid skills dealing with the enemies, and boosts HP and Lethality by up to 15% even when not deployed. In all these 3 generations, we could tell he’s the best Infantry hero.

 

Hilde (SSR)

Cavalry

Currently, Hilde has the strongest offensive skill in the game. Not only has she the strongest output but also the healing skill as an sub-sustain unit. During Expeditions, Elixir of Strength boosts squad attack, granting her a utility advantage beyond simple healing. Therefore, we put her in S-Tier and Strongly recommend to you.

 

Jabel

If you are a F2P player, don’t miss the SSR Hero Jabel! You could acquire the character for 2 gold keys or several bucks. She has a great balance of defensive skills and then offensive skills. Though she’s a hero from gen1, we could not underestimate her strong skills as an Cavalry.

 

Zoe(SSR)

Zoe, a Gen 2 Infantry hero, is F2P-friendly via Hero Roulette and top F2P Infantry till Gen5. With 40% HP heal & tankiness, she’s a meta Garrison hero with defensive ATK buffs. Her skills deal AoE damage & enemy debuff for squad offensive edge. Tough in Suppression with burst damage, her Sundering Wound boosts Expedition damage, making her a reliable mid-late game frontline, strong in Conquest & Expedition.

 

 

A-Tier Heroes

Jaeger has 20% chance of increasing the squad’s damage by 40% for three turns and 20%chance to debuff the enemy lethality, which is a strong skill in the squad and making him irreplaceable in all the Archer heroes. However, as an relatively P2W hero, we recommend you to choose Saul or Marlin to get a Higher Payback.

 

Eric(SSR)

With exceptionally high base stats, he consistently outshines lower-generation heroes, making him a top-tier choice for players seeking reliable performance across various game modes. His dominance as a meta garrison hero stems from his overpowered defensive buffs and debuffs, which significantly enhance squad survivability and disrupt enemy offenses during defensive setups. Together, these attributes solidify his status as a go-to option for both stat-driven superiority and strategic garrison gameplay.

 

Helga

She excels as a rally leader with Lethality and ATK buffs, dominates PvP with her passive and AoE skills, and even secretly boosts team Attack/Defense by up to 10% even when benched—though she’s a heavy P2W investment, making her tough for F2P players to max out. On the flip side, Helga, a VIP-exclusive infantry hero, mixes defense and offense skills flawlessly, killing it in rally hosting or solo attacks. While she has solid stats and a unique ability similar to Amadeus, she’s slightly outclassed by her in every category, landing her in A tier versus Amadeus’ S-tier reign.

 

Marlin

Marlin, a Gen 2 hero, is somewhat underwhelming, though he does have solid skills. At max level, he has a 40% chance to boost squad damage by 50% for one round—weaker than Jaeger, who offers a 20% chance for a 40% damage boost over three rounds—though Marlin’s higher proc chance and shared enemy lethality debuff with Jaeger make him decent. While he has three good skills and a nice damage bonus, Jaeger’s superior top skill puts Marlin in A tier, still strong but overshadowed.

 

Howard(SR)

As a Gen 1 Infantry hero,he boasts solid defensive skills, reducing troop damage taken by 20% and debuffing enemy damage dealt, making him a reliable garrison leader or joiner thanks to his defensive Expedition buffs. As the best non-SSR Infantry option, he shines in Arena/PvP with high DEF and decent AoE, serving as a crucial frontline choice for players without VIP-exclusive heroes like Helga or Amadeus. While he’s a strong A-tier pick for early servers, his stats and Conquest Skills can’t compete with SSR heroes in later generations.

 

Chenko(SR)

Chenko, a fan-favorite SR hero, stands out as a meta offensive rally joiner thanks to her +25% Lethality buff, making her a top pick among purple rarity heroes. While she boasts a solid mix of one offensive and one defensive skill, her lack of a third ability (common in legendary heroes) limits her to A tier, even though she’s one of the most crucial SRs to upgrade to 4 Stars early. Though she shines in rally support, she falls short of other DPS SR heroes in Conquest and Arena, and her stats and Conquest Skills can’t compete with SSR counterparts.

Despite her solid A-tier status, her reliance on chance-based skills (which can sometimes fail) holds her back, as they're less reliable than flat Lethality or ATK bonuses.

B-Tier Heroes

Saul lands on the B tier, but he’s a total budget hero—grab him via the $1 starter pack or Hero Roulette, making him super F2P-friendly! He’s an early-game star for base builders, offering +15% construction speed, -15% costs, and the game’s best Growth bonuses. He also holds his own in garrison or defensive rallies with DEF/HP/ATK buffs. But here’s the catch: you’ll need 4 Stars to unlock his full Growth potential, and his lackluster stats mean he gets outclassed fast. Still, for new players needing quick base boosts, he’s a solid short-term pick!

 

Amane

Ammane plays as a meta offensive rally joiner, offering a +25% Attack buff and a massive +50% Infirmary Healing Speed boost, making her a must-upgrade SR to 4 Stars early for PvE content. While her healing and support are valuable in rallies and bear fights, she falls short in Conquest and Arena, as Lethality-focused SRs like Chenko and Yeonwoo outperform her in those modes. Though she’s a solid early-game asset, her single useful PvP/PvE skill and inferior stats compared to SSR heroes relegate her to a lower tier, landing her comfortably in B tier for her niche but limited versatility.

 

Yeonwoo(SR)

Yeonwoo is a standout SR hero, serving as a meta offensive rally joiner with her +25% Lethality buff while also offering a valuable +15% Research Speed buff for base optimization. She’s a top early-game pick, decent in Arena and Conquest until you unlock stronger SSRs, and one of the most critical SRs to upgrade to 4 Stars early. While her lethality makes her useful in rallies, her research-focused skill limits her utility in high-stakes PvP, and she ultimately falls short of SSR heroes in stats and Conquest Skills, solidifying her as a reliable but niche B-tier choice.

 

Gorden(SR)

Gordon is a solid SR cavalry hero, who plays as a meta garrison lead/joiner with his +25% HP and ATK buffs, making him a go-to for F2P players who haven’t unlocked SSR cavalry like Yabble or Hilde—he’s easy to star up to 2-3 stars and covers niche defensive roles. While his two PvE/PvP skills are decent, he falls short in Conquest and PvP due to subpar abilities, and his stats and Conquest Skills can’t compete with SSRs. Though he fills a useful early-game role, he lands firmly in B tier, best suited for garrison duties rather than high-stakes combat.

 

Quinn(SR)

While he delivers strong damage in Suppression and works for early Expedition on new servers, his viability drops later. As an SR archer, he shines as a solid offensive rally lead with DEF and DMG buffs from his Expedition Skills, plus decent single-target DPS in PvP/Conquest. One of the easiest SRs to star up and upgrade—especially compared to heroes like Quinn—he’s a worthy early investment. However, his stats and Conquest Skills can’t compete with SSR heroes, making him outclassed in late-game content.
