The Alliance Duel in Last Asylum: Plague is hands-down one of the most rewarding recurring events in the game. Six phases. Six different scoring categories. And a whole lot of players leaving easy rewards on the table because they didn't plan ahead .

If you're tired of watching the same names top the leaderboards while you scrape the bottom of the reward tiers, stick around. We're breaking down everything—from the research you need before the event even starts, to the exact moment you should click that hammer.

Unlocking the Alliance Duel Research Tree

Before we dive into the six phases, there's one hard prerequisite you absolutely cannot ignore:Research Lab Level 15.No Lab 15, no Alliance Duel research. No research, and you're essentially showing up to a gunfight with a butter knife .

Once that Lab hits 15, the Alliance Duel research tree unlocks. And fair warning—donotjust click nodes randomly like you're playing a slot machine. There's a very specific unlock order that maximizes your returns :

  • Rush Tier 4–6 Reward Unlock. This is your first major milestone. It permanently expands what the event pays out to you. Every single Alliance Duel from this point forward gets better .
  • Push Arena Expert to Level 20. This node is a straight-up point multiplier. Hitting level 20 amplifies your scoring across multiple phases. Prioritize thisbeforeyou go for the top-tier rewards .
  • Unlock Tier 7–9 Rewards. This is the top bracket. Unlocking it is arguably one of the highest-leverage research investments in the entire game. Skip this, and you're locking yourself out of the best chests indefinitely .
  • Finish Arena Expert (to Level 10). Complete the chain after securing those tier 7–9 rewards.
  • Max Everything Else. Now you can clean up the remaining nodes.

Why this order matters: The tier reward unlocks compound acrosseveryAlliance Duel you participate in going forward. An early Tier 7–9 unlock doesn't just help one event. It permanently raises the ceiling on your rewards forever .

The Pre-Event Principle: Hoarding

The single most important shift you can make is changing when you spend your resources. If you wait until each phase opens to start gathering what you need, you're spending at full cost under a compressed timeline. But if you've been stockpiling since the last Alliance Duel ended, those same resources were earned or purchased over a full cycle. The deployment cost per point is drastically lower .

The poster child for this strategy? Falcon Quests. Each one gives a clean 10,000 points when deployed. Players who save their Falcon Quests all week and dump them at the start of each phase score significantly more than players who burn them as they earn them. The quests are identical. The timing makes all the difference .

Phase-by-Phase Breakdown

Phase 1: Enhance Raven

This is the opening act, and it scores Raven-related activity: Raven Essence, Raven Fruit, rallies, and squad movements.

What to do:

  • Immediately deploy those saved Falcon Quests for a quick score injection.
  • Burn through all the Raven Essence and Fruit you've been sitting on since the last event.
  • Send squads out to gather RSS on the map—the activity itself generates steady points.
  • If Raven Survival Battle is running, launch rallies. Double-dipping on event points is always a win.
  • Join alliance rally attacks.

What to save: Building speedups. Don't get antsy. The Territory Development phase is next, and that's where your construction investment actually pays off .

Phase 2: Territory Development

Welcome to the phase where the pre-build strategy turns you into a scoring machine. This phase rewards building upgrades and construction activity.

The Pre-Build Strategy:

If you have a building upgrade that takes more than a day, start it before Phase 2 opens—but do NOT tap the completion hammer. Let the build timer run out while the phase is inactive. When Phase 2 goes live, then you tap the hammer. The points register on the tap, not on the build completion. This is one of the most reliable scoring advantages in the entire game, and it costs you absolutely nothing except a little bit of self-control .

What to do:

  • Use accumulated building speedups on Sanctuary upgrades.
  • Claim all those pre-built completions by tapping their hammers the moment the phase starts.
  • Save Falcon Quests for Phase 3. Seriously. Keep them in your pocket.

What to save: Any builds that complete after Phase 2 ends. Do not tap them. Hold those completions for Phase 5 (War Preparation), which also scores construction .

Phase 3: Tech Research

This phase is all about flexing your brainpower. Same pre-stage logic applies here: queue research that takes more than a day before the phase opens so it naturally completes during the Phase 3 scoring window.

What to do:

  • Start any 1-day+ research project right before Phase 3 opens. Timing is everything.
  • Open all your saved Raven gear chests on this day. This is a niche tip that separates good scorers from great ones—gear-related activity contributes here.
  • Use science speedups if you need to push something over the finish line.
  • Deploy those Falcon Quests you saved from Phase 2.
  • Spend RSS to hit the point cap, but stop immediately once you reach it. Don't over-dump.

What to save: Training speedups. Troop training scores in Phase 5. If you use them here, you're just burning future points .

Phase 4: Hero Growth

This is often the most satisfying phase for players who've been disciplined with their shards and EXP boxes. It scores hero investment: star upgrades, leveling, skill upgrades, and recruitment.

What to do:

  • Upgrade hero stars on your primary squad. If you're running Arthur (the unkillable tank) and Marlena (the absolute delete button), this is where they get even scarier .
  • Burn those accumulated EXP boxes to level heroes and upgrade skills.
  • Dump your Universal Shards—UR, SSR, SR, all of them. Now is their time to shine.
  • Open saved Recruit Tickets to add new heroes and score recruitment points.
  • Participate in Hero Survival Battle for extra juice.

What to save: Keep holding those training speedups for Phase 5. Also, maybe save a few EXP items if you want to score in Hero Survival Battle specifically rather than blowing it all here .

Phase 5: War Preparation

The name says it all. This phase scores troop training, construction, and general "getting ready to throw hands" activity.

What to do:

  • Deploy Falcon Quests (yes, we're still saving these).
  • Finally! Use those troop training speedups you've been guarding since Phase 1. Wait for the Troops Training Survival Battle window if you can—the scoring multiplies.
  • Use any remaining building and research speedups.
  • Claim those build completions you held over from Phase 2.

Timing Note: If your troop training takes multiple days, start it before Phase 5 opens so it completes during the scoring window. It's the same pre-build logic we've been drilling since Phase 2 .

Phase 6: Raid Enemy

The final phase. PvP. The part of the game where friendships are tested and shields are frantically activated.

If you've built your account for offense, this is your Super Bowl. Attack enemy bases, join rallies, and push territory objectives. This is where all that combat investment pays off .

If you're not ready to go on the offensive—or you just value your troops' lives—shield up before the phase opens. You can still contribute by garrisoning or defending alliance members who are under attack. But fair warning: only do this if you're confident your power level exceeds the attacker's. An unsuccessful defense just gives the enemy free kills and gives you nothing .

Phase 6 exists for players who have built toward it. Your performance here is a direct reflection of how well you managed Phases 1 through 5.

Alliance Leader's Cheat Sheet

If you're running an alliance, your job is basically herding cats who all think they know best. Here's how to keep the chaos to a minimum :

  • Communicate the calendar early. Make sure everyone knows Phase 2 is for building and Phase 3 is for research. If someone spends building speedups in Phase 3, that's a leadership failure, not a player failure.
  • Enforce the pre-build discipline. The single most common mistake in competitive alliances? Members tapping completed builds immediately instead of saving the hammer for the right phase. Drill this into their heads.
  • Coordinate Falcon Quest deployment. An alliance where everyone saves and deploys Falcon Quests at phase starts generates an absolutely monstrous collective score. Set a "save window" and stick to it.
  • Check everyone's research. Identify members who haven't unlocked Lab 15 or the Tier 7–9 reward node. They are scoring below their potential. Make research progression part of your pre-event checklist.
  • Phase 6 expectations. Weaker members should shield and support defense. Strong members should coordinate offensive operations before the phase starts, not improvise in the heat of battle.

Final Thoughts

The Alliance Duel in Last Asylum: Plague isn't a test of how much money you can throw at the screen in 48 hours. It's a test of patience, discipline, and strategic timing.

Start saving your Falcon Quests. Start pre-building. And for the love of all that is holy, stop tapping the hammer early.

See you on the battlefield~~!
