What is Drone in Last War Survival?
The Drone is an important mid-to-late-game progression system in Last War: Survival. It fights alongside your squad and provides team-wide stat bonuses. Players level it with Battle Data and use Drone Parts for key upgrade checkpoints. In later stages, Skill Chips and Components further improve attack, defense, and special effects. Upgrade it steadily early on, stockpile Drone Parts for later, and choose chips that match your main squad type.

Why Drone in Last War Survival important?
The Drone is an important power system in Last War: Survival. It is not only an extra combat unit, but also a source of team-wide bonuses such as attack, defense, and HP. These bonuses affect PvE stages, zombie battles, alliance events, and PvP fights. As the Drone level increases, its impact becomes more noticeable, especially in the mid-to-late game. Unlike upgrading a single hero, Drone improvements can benefit the whole main squad, giving it strong long-term value. Ignoring the Drone can lead to weaker damage, lower survivability, and slower overall progression later on.

Drone upgrades in Last War mainly depend on two resources: Battle Data and Drone Parts. Battle Data works like EXP for the drone and is usually obtained from radar missions and world map zombies, while Drone Parts are the main resource that limits upgrade progress.

Drone Parts function as checkpoint materials for drone levels. From levels 1 to 150, players generally need Drone Parts every five levels, such as levels 5, 10, and 15. After level 150, the upgrade pressure increases sharply because Drone Parts are required for every single level. Past level 150, the Drone Parts cost continues to rise. It starts at around 500 Parts per level and increases by about 100 every ten levels, such as roughly 600 Parts from levels 161–170 and 700 Parts from levels 171–180. High-spending players can burn through thousands of Parts each month, while free-to-play players often slow down significantly at this stage.
How to get Last War Survival Drone Parts?
The Drone Parts Workshop unlocks at HQ 30 after Age of Oil research. At max level, it produces up to 6 Parts per day, which is modest but adds up to around 180 Parts per month. For whale-tier players, maxing it is mandatory.
Besides the workshop, Drone Parts come from the VIP Store, Alliance Store, Campaign Store, event shops, season passes, radar missions, and daily tasks. The best time to spend them is Alliance Duel Drone Development day, where upgrades also generate duel points. Standard whale strategy is to save 500+ Parts during the week and spend them all on that day.

Packs and bundles make up the shortfall when passive income cannot keep up, which is why whales can max drones in one season while F2P players often need three or four. If you want to boost your game progression by Topping-up, LDShop can meet your demands!

How to optimise Battle Data?
When your upgrade bar is below 80% of the next level, each Battle Data use has a 50% chance to crit and grant double EXP. Once the bar passes 80%, crits are disabled.
Use Battle Data while the bar is still under 80%. If you cannot finish the level in one session, stop at 79% and save the rest for the next crit window. Levels that require Drone Parts also disable crits, which is another reason to stockpile Parts and spend them strategically.
What can better upgrade Last War Survival Drone?
Skill chip
Skill Chips are one of the most important late-game systems for Drone power. If Drone Level provides the foundation, Skill Chips act more like “skill gear” for the drone. They can improve damage, defense, opening effects, or special bonuses tied to certain squad types.

Skill Chips are usually connected to the Chip Lab. The Chip Lab as the building used to craft and upgrade drone skill chips, with stronger crafting and upgrade options unlocked as the lab improves.
Components
Components can be understood as Drone equipment or module pieces. They are not the same as Drone Parts. Drone Parts are mainly used for level checkpoints, while Components provide extra stats and long-term strengthening for the drone. Components can come from events, shops, and component-related buildings or factories.
How to better arrange the upgrade progression?
Early Game (Level 1–50)
Focus on steady progress instead of rushing. Complete daily tasks for Drone Parts, use Battle Data as you get it, and buy Drone Parts from the Alliance Store when available. Avoid spending diamonds on Drone Parts. Aim for Level 50 by the end of the first month.
Mid Game (Level 50–100)
Start saving Drone Parts for checkpoint levels. Plan ahead by checking how many Drone Parts the next checkpoint requires, join Drone Day events, and begin building your component collection. Chip Lab unlocks at Level 85. Target Level 100 by month 2–3.
Late Game (Level 100–150)
Resource efficiency becomes the priority. Checkpoints can cost 4,000–7,000 Parts, so focus on events that reward Drone Parts. After HQ 30, build the Drone Parts Workshop and prioritize legendary skill chips. Aim for Level 150 by Season 2–3.
End Game (Level 150+)
This becomes a long-term grind, with 500+ Drone Parts needed almost every level. Keep accumulating Drone Parts over several months while also progressing other systems. Do not neglect skill chips or components.
