Hey, Commanders! Monica just dropped the latest intel on the March 19th update, and honestly? There are some massive quality-of-life changes here that we’ve been waiting for.
The servers are going down for a quick 10-minute maintenance today, so make sure you’re logged out so you don’t lose any progress. Once we’re back online, here’s the lowdown on what’s changing in the wasteland.
Important update overview
- Speed-ups no longer get wasted
- Alliance announcements can now include multiple images
- Drone upgrades are now much smoother
Speed-up overflow finally gets fixed

This is probably the most player-friendly change in the entire update.
Before this patch, using a speed-up that went over the required time could feel a bit painful. You would finish what you needed, sure, but the extra time was basically thrown away. That always felt bad, especially when you were burning through items quickly and did not want to sit there doing math on every single timer.
Now, according to the official notes, when your Speed-up items exceed the required time, the extra amount will be returned via Mail in the form of 1-minute speed-up items from the same category.
That is a great fix. It is clean, practical, and it respects the player’s resources. No more feeling like you got punished for using a bigger speed-up than necessary. For active players who are constantly building, researching, training, or healing, this is going to be a very welcome change.
Alliance announcements just got way more useful

Another standout update is the change to Alliance Notices, which now support multiple images.
This may sound simple, but it opens up a lot for alliance leaders and officers. Instead of trying to cram everything into one screenshot or writing walls of text that half the alliance will skim past, leaders can now post several images in one notice. That makes it much easier to share:
event instructions
rally targets
war plans
base layouts
map markers
reward examples
schedule reminders
In a game where alliance coordination matters a lot, this is a genuinely useful upgrade. A lot of players rely on visual guides, especially during busy events or server wars, so being able to attach more than one image should make communication much clearer.
Drone upgrades are less annoying now

The third major quality-of-life improvement is aimed at Drone upgrades.
With this update, when upgrading Drone Levels and Components, players can now use item choice chests directly from the missing item window instead of backing out and going into inventory manually.
That may not sound huge to someone who does not play regularly, but for anyone who has spent time upgrading drone parts, it is a nice little relief. Fewer menu hops, fewer pointless taps, less interruption. You see what you need, use the available choice chest, and keep going.
New features beyond the big three
The March 19 update is not only about convenience tweaks. It also adds a few new alliance and reward-related features.
Lucky Gift sharing feature
A new Lucky Gift feature has been added. If you hit the jackpot and pull something big—like 5,000 or 10,000 Diamonds, 100 UR Hero Shards, or 1,000 Valor Badges, you have a chance to trigger a Lucky Gift.
You can share this in your Alliance channel, and your buddies can tap it to claim free Diamonds. It’s basically a way to flex your good luck while keeping the whole squad happy.
Custom Alliance group names for R1–R5
This new feature lets alliances customize the R1–R5 group names in the Alliance Member List.
This can be edited by R5 in the Members panel, as long as the alliance has unlocked Alliance Gift Lv.5.
For organized alliances, this is actually pretty handy. It gives leaders more flexibility to set clearer internal roles instead of relying on generic rank labels.
Alliance Rating is now easier to see
The current Alliance Rating will now be displayed on both the Alliance Profile and Alliance Home. It makes alliance status more visible at a glance and gives players another quick point of reference when checking alliance strength or comparing groups.
Other improvements worth noting
A few more changes in the official patch notes deserve some attention too.
PC launcher and loading screen display optimized
This one is specifically nice for PC players. The update improves the display of the PC launcher and loading screen, which should hopefully make the client feel a bit cleaner and more stable visually.
Alliance Record retention reduced from 90 days to 30 days
The Alliance Record retention period has been reduced from 90 days to 30 days.
This is not really a hype feature, but it is part of backend cleanup and probably meant to make record management lighter and more relevant.
Radar gathering gets a boost at higher levels
Once Radar Level 14 or above is reached, Gather Resources tasks from Radar upgrades will also benefit from the significantly increased Gathering Speed effect.
That is a nice bonus for more progressed players and makes Radar upgrades feel a little more rewarding.
Bounty Hunter’s Mega Barrage gets faster
In the Bounty Hunter event, Mega Barrage now supports consuming 400 Bounty Bullets at once to claim rewards faster.
That is exactly the kind of bulk-use option event grinders love. Less tapping, faster reward collection, better flow.
The patch also includes a set of bug fixes, which is always good to see.
Final thoughts
Overall, the Last War: Survival 3/19 update is a strong quality-of-life patch.
