S+ TIER :Meta‑defining, essential for any serious player
Lucius : The Universal Shield
Lucius takes the top spot because his exclusive weapon completely redefines survivability. The shields he provides scale incredibly well with weapon level, and they work on any team : aircraft, tank, or missile. Right out of the box, his Level 1 skill boosts durability, and at Level 10 the shield strength becomes game‑changing. I've personally jumped several zombie invasion boss tiers thanks to him. Whether you're PvE focused or deep into PvP, Lucius delivers value across every mode. He's the definition of a must‑have.

Murphy : The Unkillable Wall
When Murphy's weapon first appeared in Season 2, it felt good but not great. Over time, however, its true power emerged. The damage reduction mechanics spread to your entire team, making Murphy a staple in almost every top formation. His Level 10 skill provides team‑wide mitigation that directly counters the burst damage meta. Tank, aircraft, missile , it doesn't matter; Murphy fits anywhere and makes your squad dramatically harder to kill. If Lucius is the shield, Murphy is the armour.

S TIER :Excellent, top priority for specific team compositions
Kimberly : Tank Team Backbone
If you run tanks, Kimberly's exclusive weapon is non‑negotiable. Her Energy Amplification stacking system lets tank formations compete with aircraft's raw damage. At Level 10 she gains an extra rocket on tactics, and at Level 20 she provides a 7.5% boost to all tank heroes. The damage output at full stacks is absurd : up to 250% energy damage amplification. She turns a defensive squad into an offensive powerhouse.

DVA : Aircraft Dominator
DVA's weapon does for aircraft what Kimberly does for tanks. The Vortex Overload mechanic scales energy damage with the number of aircraft heroes, and at Level 10 she unlocks Storm Surge, dramatically increasing attack speed. Her Level 20 gives all aircraft heroes a 7.5% boost, and the Level 30 energy nova deletes backlines. If you're building an air squad, start here.
Adam : Counterattack Revolution
Adam's Level 10 ability spreads counterattack to your entire team. That means your backline damage dealers also smack enemies just for hitting you. It's both offensive and defensive : a unique combination. The initial unlock gives +6% counterattack damage, and at Level 10 the whole squad joins the party. This weapon works in any team composition and adds tremendous free damage over the course of a fight.

A+ TIER :Strong, highly recommended for their respective classes
Swift : Missile Speedster
Swift's weapon made missile teams terrifying in Season 2, and he's only gotten better. The Burn mechanic stacks damage over time based on missile hero count. At Level 30, he nukes the enemy with the highest burn stacks for 800% attack damage. Recently, top players have even experimented with him in aircraft teams, that's how versatile his raw damage output is. For missile mains, he's a top priority.

Schuyler: The Disruptor
Schuyler's weapon is all about fight manipulation. Her Disruption mechanic strips enemy buffs : shields, attack boosts, anything. At Level 10 she gains a stun chance on tactics, and at Level 30 it becomes an automatic guaranteed stun. I've seen her in tank teams countering aircraft and in missile teams countering tanks. She's not about huge numbers; she's about tilting fights in your favor.

Morrison : HP% Shredder
Morrison introduced HP percentage damage: a mechanic that ignores defense and damage reduction. Against high‑HP enemies, that's massive. There's a cap, but against whales with millions of HP, he'll melt them. His Level 20 gives all aircraft heroes a 7.5% boost, and Level 30 adds defense reduction to his HP hits. Aircraft mains should build him right after DVA.

A TIER:Solid choices with good utility
Fiona: Missile Radiation Queen
Fiona's radiation damage is a stacking DoT that scales with missile hero count. A full missile squad can stack 10 ticks, each dealing 5% of Fiona's attack per second for 20 seconds, that's 1000% attack damage over time. Level 10 gives a 7.5% missile team boost, and Level 30 removes up to five buffs from radiated targets. She's excellent for missile players who want sustained pressure.

Stetmann : Tank Utility Master
Stetmann's weapon adds shield‑breaking and control resistance. The shield damage is situational but valuable against Lucius comps. The real gem is the Level 30 immunity to stuns : a direct counter to Skyler. If you're in a PvP‑heavy environment, he's worth the investment for tank teams.

B+ TIER :Situational but can shine in the right lineup
Tesla : PvE God, PvP Situational
Tesla's chain lightning scaling is the best zombie clear in the game. At high levels he chains to 5‑6 targets with massive damage, and Level 30 unleashes an 8‑target backline nuke with stun. In PvP, missile teams are currently weaker in the meta, so he's situational. But for PvE progress, he's a monster.

Williams : The Tank Specialist
Williams enables extreme durability : up to 75% damage reduction plus a team aura and status immunity at Level 30. He's great for tank teams that need to survive sustained fights. However, with Kimberly and Stetmann covering offence and utility, Williams is more of a luxury pick once your core is solid.

B TIER:Niche use, generally outclassed
Marshall : The Funnel Master
Marshall's Level 10 forces your highest attacker to focus his target. In arena, this lets you snipe key enemies, but it's too specific for general use. He can be fun for theory‑crafting, but most players will find him underwhelming.

Carlie : The Fallen Star
Carlie was once top tier : her Level 30 summon was incredible. But the meta moved on. Murphy replaced her on most teams, and her weapon just doesn't offer the same team‑wide impact anymore. She's usable but outclassed.

C TIER :Low impact, skip unless you're a collector
McGregor : Just There
McGregor's weapon does its job : a bit more damage, a bit less damage taken. Nothing exciting. You won't see him outside missile squads, and even then he's not a game‑changer. Save your shards for better options.

Unlock, Upgrade & Optimization Strategy
Now that you know which weapons to target, let's talk about how to actually get them and grow them efficiently.
How to Unlock an Exclusive Weapon
To unlock any exclusive weapon you need 50 named shards for that specific hero. But there's a catch : the hero must already be at 5 stars. You cannot unlock the weapon earlier.
Acquisition Methods:
- Battle Pass (Paid): Each season, three exclusive weapons are released (weeks 1, 3, and 6). The premium battle pass ($10‑20) gives enough named shards to unlock the weapon and reach Level 2 immediately. This is the fastest way to stay competitive.
- Black Market (Free): After each season, the Black Market opens. You can use premium currency (gems) to buy exclusive weapon shard choice boxes. Prioritise these boxes if you're free‑to‑play : they're your main path to unlocking weapons over time.
- Events: Kingdom Clash, Alliance War seasons, and anniversary events often reward shards. Top performers can earn hundreds of shards.
Upgrade Costs and Milestones
Once unlocked, you upgrade the weapon with either named shards (only for that hero) or universal shards . Universal shards become more common in later seasons.
Here's the shard requirement per level range:

Cumulative totals:
- 1→10: 280 shards (plus 50 unlock = 330)
- 1→20: 1,080 shards (plus unlock = 1,130)
- 1→30: 2,830 shards (plus unlock = 2,880)
What Does Each Level Give?
- Level 1: Unlocks the weapon, provides base stat boosts, and enables the first special ability.
- Level 10: Unlocks the second special ability and often a visual upgrade on the hero's vehicle.
- Level 20: Unlocks a 7.5% boost to all heroes of the same type (tank/aircraft/missile) and a third special ability.
- Level 30: Unlocks the ultimate ability and the final visual form.
Additionally, every 3 weapon levels adds +1 to the hero's skill level cap (up to level 40). That's a massive power increase if you have the skill medals to support it.
Optimal Investment Strategy
The Golden Rule: Focus one weapon at a time until it hits Level 20. Spreading shards leaves you with nothing impactful. It gives the 7.5% team boost and the third ability : the best cost‑to‑benefit ratio in the game. Going from 20 to 30 costs an additional 1,750 shards for diminishing returns.
Recommended Order:
- Primary DPS weapon (e.g., DVA, Kimberly) to Level 20.
- Primary tank/support weapon (e.g., Lucius, Murphy) to Level 20.
- Secondary weapons for your main squad to Level 20.
- Push one weapon to Level 30 if you have excess shards and your formation is balanced.
- Post‑30 enhancement only after all core weapons are at least Level 20.
F2P Timeline Reality:
- First exclusive weapon to Level 20: 18+ months
- Second weapon to Level 20: another 12+ months
- Level 30 on one weapon: 2.5+ years
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Spreading shards thinly : three weapons at Level 5 lose to one at Level 20 every time.
Ignoring team synergy : don't build a weapon for a hero you never use.
Rushing post‑30 enhancement : those 1,500 shards could bring three other weapons to Level 20.
Unlocking a weapon before the hero is 5 stars : you'll just sit on shards unable to use them.
Exclusive weapons are a long-term investment, but the right choices will carry you through every season. Use this tier list as a guide, but always adapt to your own roster and goals.
