Season 5 of Last War: Survival introduces an expansive 8-week Wild West adventure packed with completely new mechanics, exclusive hero weapons, and intense cross-server strategic depth.

This guide will walk you through the precise details of every week, explaining the new progression systems, map capture limits, and crucial weekly unlocks. Whether you want to conquer the Golden Palace or maximize your CrystalGold output, here is your complete roadmap.

Core Systems & Seasonal Resources

Season 5 completely revamps the economy with three brand-new seasonal resources. Managing these effectively is the key to dominating the wasteland:

• Coffee Beans: This is your primary currency for seasonal building upgrades. You will use these to level up your Coffee Factory and the new type-specific buildings: the Tanker Bar, Pilot Bar, and Missileer Bar.
• Coffee: Generated over time by your Coffee Factories. This is consumed at the Caffeine Institute to progress your tech tree and boost your Virus Resistance.
• CrystalGold: Earned from Zombie kills, train trading, and event rewards. Use CrystalGold to buy items in the CrystalGold Shop or invest it in Bank Strongholds for high interest.

The Difficulty Spike: Prepare your squads. This season, Zombies and Doom Elites have had their level caps raised to 120, offering massive first-kill rewards. Additionally, the Virus Resistance required to take down the high-level Bank Stronghold Bosses is unprecedented—reaching up to 39,900 Virus Resistance for a Level 10 Stronghold Boss!

 

Crucial Rule Changes: Map Captures and Limits

Unlike previous seasons where you could rapidly capture land daily, Season 5 slows down the pace and introduces new strategic bottlenecks.

• City Capture War Days: You can only capture Cities on Wednesdays and Saturdays. To secure a lead, you must maximize the highest-level cities you can capture on these two specific days.
• Bank Strongholds: These can be captured every day (as long as you meet the Virus Resistance requirement), except for Sundays, which are now an official Truce Day (no Bank Strongholds can be attacked).
• Capture Limits: You start the season with a base limit of 8 Cities and 4 Strongholds. Every City you capture adds +1 to your Stronghold limit. The absolute maximum you can hold is 8 Cities and 12 Strongholds.
• Alliance Safe Time: Because captures happen in three specific timeframes on Wednesdays and Saturdays, your Alliance leaders can select one timeframe as a "Safe Time," completely guarding your cities from being taken during that period.

Pro Tip: Switch to the Engineer Profession for the first few weeks! The resource cost reductions apply directly to seasonal resources, letting you upgrade your Coffee Factories much faster than other professions.

 

New Tactics & Removed Events

• S5 Tactics Cards: Tactics cards make a return. Some returning cards from Season 4 have reduced attributes, but several brand-new cards have been introduced to shake up PvE and PvP encounters.

• Special Coffee Buffs: By discovering 9 different recipes, you can activate the Special Coffee system. These provide temporary but massive enhancements, including Virus Resistance boosts and combat buffs.

• Removed Events: Take note—the Alliance Exercise (Marshall Guard) and Zombie Siege alliance events are removed during Season 5.

The 8-Week Progression Roadmap

To stay ahead of rival alliances, you need to know exactly what unlocks each week. Follow this timeline carefully.

Week 1: Foundation Building

• Map Unlocks: Bank Strongholds (Lv. 1-3) and Cities (Lv. 1 on Wed, Lv. 2 on Sat).
• Bank Deposits: You can deposit up to 6,000 CrystalGold in Bank Strongholds up to 3 times a day to earn interest. Put it away for 1 day initially to test if your alliance can defend against plunderers!
• New Content: The High Noon minigame (bullet ricochet puzzle) opens. The CrystalGold Shop becomes accessible.
• Hero Upgrade: Fiona’s Exclusive Weapon becomes available on Thursday.
• Day 1 Focus: Get your Doom Walker first kill for 300k Coffee Beans, use Hero's Return tickets for more beans, and rush your Coffee Factory upgrades.

 

 

Week 2: The Rush to the Center

• Map Unlocks: Strongholds (Lv. 1-6) and Cities (Lv. 3 on Wed, Lv. 4 on Sat).
• Strategic Path: Level 6 Bank Strongholds do not have a boss, meaning you can take them for free if you can clear the small zombies. Use these to carve a path to the Central Area.
• Warzone Train: Trade your Whiskey for CrystalGold! But beware, enemy players can plunder your train.
• Plague Roosters: These unique chickens will start appearing after killing zombies. Hunt them for daily rewards, a Special Coffee recipe, and a chance at a new emote.

 

Week 3: Cross-Warzone Chaos & Hero Swaps

• Hero Updates: Venom can officially be promoted from SSR to UR! Stetmann’s Exclusive Weapon unlocks on Thursday. You will also receive 2 Hero Swap tickets to swap levels and stars between two heroes.
• Map Unlocks: City Level 5 unlocks. Cross-Warzone Teleporting is enabled, though there are no free teleports this season. Trade Posts open for the first time, and the fight for the Grand Nexus (Capitol) begins.
• Train Upgrade: Premium Sale unlocks for the Warzone Train, yielding higher CrystalGold returns.

 

 

Week 4: Outposts & Strongholds

• Map Unlocks: The final Strongholds (Lv. 7-10) unlock. This is where you need that massive 39,900 Virus Resistance. Cities Lv. 6-7 open on Wednesday; Lv. 8-9 open on Saturday.
• Warzone Outposts: You can now construct a Warzone Outpost. It takes a long time, but the system guarantees a minimum of 10% progress per day regardless of alliance help.

Week 5: The Golden Palace Opens

• Map Unlocks: The highly contested Level 10 Cities unlock on Wednesday. Trade posts reopen for combat.
• The Battles Begin: On Friday, the Warzone Outposts will be built, and you can attack/capture adjacent outposts. On Saturday, the ultimate prize—the Golden Palace—opens for its first conquest!

Week 6: Escalation

• Battles: The second wave of combat for Warzone Outposts (Friday) and the Golden Palace (Saturday) takes place.
• Hero Upgrade: Morrison’s Exclusive Weapon unlocks on Thursday.

Week 7: The Final Battles

• This is the final week to secure your ranking. The third and final captures for Trade Posts, Outposts (Friday), and the Golden Palace (Saturday) occur.
• Tycoon Push: This is the last week for CrystalGold Tycoon actions, so maximize your High Noon minigames and Train plunders.

Week 8: Settlement & Transfer Surge

• Settlement: Season 5 concludes. Claim your Alliance rewards and burn through any remaining CrystalGold in the shop.
• Grand Nexus: Opens for contest on Wednesday—this time, you do not need adjacent land to participate!
• End of Season: The Transfer Surge event begins. Crucial: Max out your seasonal building upgrades now to secure your profession experience before the buildings disappear forever!

 

Conclusion
