Ever since the introduction of Season 1 in Last War Survival, the game has featured one of the most interesting mechanics - the RA Virus system. This system puts you and your base in a risk of getting infected that can adversely put your base in a bad state with negative effects.

What is the RA Virus

The RA Virus is the name of the virus that is the core of the infectious disease system in Last War Survival. This virus is caught by engaging with zombies as you are exposed to the virus. Once infected, it needs to be cured or else, the base will face consequences by the negative effects of the virus. 

The RA virus is also known as the Gift of Blood Spawn and it comes from an ancient insect preserved in amber. The virus works rapidly and the reason why it is so lethal is because of the spread rate. Normally, the particle measures to be around a hundred nm but after entering a human, it can spread into 2000 more particles. If a person is actually affected by the RA virus, then here are the common symptoms in the early stage:

• Fever
• Dry Cough
• Fatigue
• Increased Appetite
• Breathing difficulties
• Body Mutation

Mechanics of the Virus System

The Virus System mainly focuses on 4 main mechanisms which are as follows:

• Virus Stack: As the virus stack count increases, the duration of the virus also extends. The debuff effect of the virus strengthens
• Virus Resistance: If troops’ virus resistance is lower than that of the monsters, there is a chance they will be infected during the attack.
• Corruptor: Attacking Corruptors and infected zombies will result in infections with certain virus stacks, despite having sufficient virus resistance.
• Cure Allies: After allies are infected with the virus, each dispatch of a scout reduces a certain number of virus stacks for the ally.

Virus Stack

The Virus works on a stack basis where you start stacking up the infection if any of your troops that have returned from the battlefield is infected. This stack bar ranges from 0 to 100 where 0 means not infected and 100 being the maximum level. 100 is the max limit and once you reach it, any more infection won’t get stacked above it.

>=1	Hospital Stay	Every 200 to 300 seconds, one Unit becomes seriously injured.
>=20	Morale is Low	Damage Dealt is reduced by -20%.
>=40	Fatal Virus	Enemy Unit casualty rate is increased by +10%.
>=60	Severe Infection	The virus stacks carried by the troops increase by 15% when they march out.
>=80	Virus Plague	Even in defeat, there’s still a 10% chance that the troops will infect the enemy.

At Infection stack = 100 (Max stack), each and every debuff will be applied causing severe damage, increased intensity and duration.

Treatment

One way of getting disinfected is simply doing nothing. If you don’t get more infection and are not being healed, then the system will automatically start healing you based on the duration of your timer. Another and faster way of getting treated is by overcoming other commanders and asking others in your alliance to heal you. 

To get treated by an ally, just click on his base and look for the green syringe button. Once you click it, it will reduce the infection by 1 and consume a bit of your immune protein count.

Virus Resistance

Virus Resistance is one of the most important mechanics that needs to be known by you, as a Last War Survival player. Your base has a building named Virus Research Institute and you need to constantly upgrade that specific building to increase your virus resistance and grant you more rewards. You can also rely on Last War Survival top up to get it upgraded as soon as possible. In order to get your current Virus Resistance value, follow the give instructions:

• Click on the Season 1 Event icon right above the duel VS icon.
• Then, look for the Season 1 banner at the top.
• Lastly, switch to the Goals section.

At the time of entering a boss fight or a battle, you will have to pass the threshold requirement of that fight in order to participate in it. For example, if the Virus Resistance Required is 700, then you will need to have higher Virus Resistance or else, you will take 99.8% more damage.

Other things to keep in mind

While attacking a zombie, these are some important things to know:

• Damage debuff: While fighting a zombie with higher virus level than your resistance level, you will deal less damage and the damage intake increases from the enemy side.
• Unconditional infection: Even if your virus resistance is quite high, some nemesis will still infect you like corruptors, infected zombies or world bosses. This info will be indicated through a +1 purple virus icon.

Virus Goals

One can also get rewards like chest through stacking Virus stacks. The limit here is not the stacks but the stamping it takes to cure yourself.

You will receive a chest reward at the following stacks level: 

• Infect Virus: Infect Virus 500 stacks 
• Cure Allies: Help allies cure 150 virus stacks
• Spread Virus: Spread Virus 1400 stacks
