Season 7 of Magic Chess Go Go is called Chrono Echoes, and it reshapes the board more than any season since launch. Four brand new synergies enter the pool, two older ones return, and the game finally adds a 7-gold chess piece. Two fresh commanders join the roster as well. Let’s follow LDShop, as below you will find the confirmed schedule, every new synergy explained in plain terms, the updated hero lineup, commander skills from the advanced server, and what to expect from the season rewards.
Season 7 Chrono Echoes Schedule
Moonton confirmed the date through its official channels. Season 7 begins on 08/12 on the original server. The advanced server has already been running Chrono Echoes for a few weeks, which is where most of the leaked footage comes from.

The season theme is a concert. Moonton framed the four new synergies as performers on the Chrono Echoes stage, with Franco and Brody sitting in the audience as fans. Expect the lobby, chessboard visuals, and event art to follow that idea.
One practical note from past seasons. The original server usually gets a short maintenance window before the switch, and rank resets land on the same day. Finish your Season 6 rank push before 08/12.

The Four New Synergies
Echomancer
Echomancer builds a resource called Echo Energy. You gain energy every round, and the amount scales with your synergy level, roughly 10 at the lowest tier and up to 60 at the highest.
- At 100 Echo Energy, the synergy summons a 5-gold hero called the Phantom.
- The Phantom is pulled from an older season pool: Moskov, X.Borg, or Gatotkaca.
- Extra rewards trigger at 300, 600, and 999 Echo Energy.
- Echo Energy also grants bonus skill damage and HP to every Echomancer unit, Phantom included.
- Hitting the ultra synergy tier pushes you straight to maximum points.
This is a scaling synergy, not a burst one. Play for a long game and protect your HP early.

SPECTRE
SPECTRE is the most misunderstood addition, so read this part slowly. It hands out free heroes in a chain, and each step depends on star level, not on filling the board with specific units.
- Level 2: your first 2-star SPECTRE unit grants a free Granger. Star up Granger, and you get a free 3-gold SPECTRE hero, either Paquito or Saber.
- Level 4: a 2-star 3-gold unit grants a free Gord. Star up Gord, and Alice joins for free.
- Level 6: a 2-star Alice unlocks Alpha, the 7-gold hero.
Plenty of players assume they need two separate heroes on the board for each reward. They do not. You need the two heroes only to activate the synergy tier itself. The free hero chain runs purely off star levels, which means synergy items and crystals can carry part of the load.
SPECTRE units gain 15% to 65% bonus damage by tier. Trigger the ultra synergy and that jumps to 400%, while your Alpha gains one extra star.

Starbelle
Starbelle grants bonus hybrid attack to every Starbelle hero, starting near 25% and climbing to 60%. The ultra tier pushes it to 200%.
The interesting part is the Light Stick equipment. It works like a Magic Crystal, so whoever holds it counts as a Starbelle unit. The wearer then feeds a second layer of hybrid attack to the whole synergy, calculated from the wearer's own hybrid attack.
Testing in practice mode makes this clearer. Stacking hybrid attack items on the Light Stick carrier raises the bonus for every Starbelle hero on the board. Put the Light Stick on a hero you plan to invest in, not on a filler unit. If you are still unsure which items stack well together, our equipment guide breaks down the combinations worth chasing.

Mistbender
Mistbender collects Spirit Sand whenever one of its heroes casts a skill. The counter stacks up to 99 points, and you spend those points in a Spirit Sand shop.
The shop sells three things: a Nana unit, bonus hybrid attack, and bonus HP. Attack and HP purchases apply to every Mistbender hero. Since spending resets your counter, you can farm and buy repeatedly in one match. Long rounds with heavy skill casting turn this into an open-ended stat engine.

Returning Synergies and Pool Changes
Dragon Altar and Shadeweaver come back with familiar behaviour. Dragon Altar opens bonus slots that grant damage and hybrid defence to the heroes placed inside, and a full 6-stack upgrades the effect across the board. Shadeweaver still sends a wave down the column holding your Shadeweaver hero, buffing allies along the path and hitting enemies in the way.
Astro Power stays in the pool. Several older synergies leave, including Neo Beast, Exorcist, Ember Lord, Northern Vale, and Heart Bound. That is a large cut, and it retires some of the low-roll comfort picks from Season 6. Our ranking of the best synergies in Magic Chess Go Go is worth a read before you settle on a main line.

Alpha, the First 7-Gold Hero
Alpha sits above the usual 5-gold ceiling and carries SPECTRE alongside Weapon Master. You cannot buy him from the shop in the normal way. The SPECTRE chain is the intended route, which makes SPECTRE the only synergy in Magic Chess Go Go with a guaranteed path to a 7-gold unit.
That design has a real cost. Chasing Alpha means committing gold and rerolls to star up several mid-cost units in sequence. If your lobby applies early pressure, the chain can collapse before it pays off.
New Commanders: Franco and Brody
Both commanders appeared on the advanced server, so treat the numbers as subject to change.
Franco, Hook Plunder. At the start of battle, Franco throws his iron hook at a random enemy and steals loot based on that unit's gold cost. You can merge loot of the same quality into higher tiers, and orange tier loot pays out a special bonus. Punished correctly, this is one of the strongest economy tools in the game.

Brody, Abyssal Call. Brody opens an abyss domain beside the board. Place two heroes inside, and if their gold cost or synergy matches, you receive a random hero of the same cost or synergy. The domain then goes dormant until you win a round. His second passive, Abyssal Surge, shortens that downtime.
Brody suits players who build around synergy completion. Franco suits players who prefer gold advantage and flexible late boards. For a wider view of how they stack up against the existing roster, check our best commanders tier list.
Skins and Season Rewards
Season 7 follows the usual reward structure. Expect a season skin tied to the Chrono Echoes concert theme, a monthly Go Go Pass skin, synergy icon effects, chessboard cosmetics, and draw tokens spread across login and event tracks. Moonton has also opened a Chrono Rift event that ties into the concert story.
Two habits help here. Claim event rewards early, because several tracks in Magic Chess Go Go expire before the season ends. And spend draw tokens only after the full skin list appears in the shop, since first-week listings are rarely the complete set. Players who want the paid pass on day one can grab a quick Magic Chess Go Go top up instead of waiting on store queues. The best platform to make the top-up is LDShop, it lets players top up for less and it is a great way to save money.
Early Strategy Notes
- SPECTRE looks strong on paper but demands clean economy. Do not force it from a losing start.
- Starbelle rewards item concentration. Spreading hybrid attack items across the board wastes the Light Stick effect.
- Echomancer and Mistbender both scale with round count. Both want a healthy HP bar going into stage three.
- Dragon Altar remains the most beginner friendly of the returning options.
Season 7 clearly pushes players toward planning over rerolling. Every new synergy rewards a decision made three rounds earlier.
Conclusion
Chrono Echoes is a genuine reset rather than a cosmetic refresh. Five synergies leave, six enter or return, and Alpha changes the ceiling of what a board can hold. Franco and Brody both open lines that did not exist last season. Mark 08/12 on your calendar, clear your Season 6 rank goals before then, and spend your first few matches learning the SPECTRE chain in practice mode. Players who understand the free hero rules early will climb faster than anyone still guessing at them.
