MLBB Project Reforge: Revamped Magic Wheel, Kimmy’s Collector Skin and Other Changes

As the year 2025 comes to an end, Mobile Legend’s Bang Bang is ready to charm the land of dawn with the very first day of the year 2026. With no delay at all, Moonton is preparing to launch their Project Reforge that will feature a lot of new cosmetics, reworks and adjustments.

Release Date

The Project Reforge is scheduled to release on the very first day of 2026 that is 01/01/2026.

Starlight Update

Starlight is the monthly event pass where Moonton launches new hero skins every month. In the upcoming starlight that is on 1st of January, 2026, there are some changes that will make the purchase much more worth the money.

January 2026 Starlight Hero Skin

The January 2026 Starlight will feature the starlight skin for the Hero – Harley which will be named “Dreaming Koi”. The skin gives a completely new look to Harley by adding that chinese new year vibes as he dresses up in a traditional attire. For additional 100 diamonds, you can also purchase the painted version of the skin featuring the color – green and blue.

Magic Wheel Revamp

The Revamped Magic Wheel Event will be released on January 01, 2026 as a part of the Project Reforge. Previously where players had to additionally buy the trail effects, now they will automatically receive the corresponding trail effects for the obtained Legend Skin. For those players who already owned the legend skin via old Magic Wheel, they will be compensated with 15 Magic Potion for each of the Trail effects and for the players who redeemed it via the limited Legend skin draw, they will receive 500 Diamonds for each of the trial effects.

After the Magic Wheel revamp, Magic Cores will no longer be used and will be converted according to the following rules:

• Each Magic Core will be converted to draw progress at a ratio of 1:1.
• Every 200 progress points will be automatically converted into 1 Exchange Coin which is called the Arcane Star Core, which can be used to exchange Legend Skins.

Each Draw will cost you 60 diamonds and for the 5x draws, it will be 270 Diamonds. For most of the people hoping for Crystal of Auroras to be used as draw currency, they will be disappointed to know that the COA draw system has been removed from the Revamped Magic Wheel.

Saber Legend Skin Revamp

The long running work on Saber’s Legend Skin – “Codename - Storm” is finally finished and the revamped version will be featured starting January 1st, 2026. The skin will also be the highlight of the Revamped Magic Wheel system. The skin is much flashier, more detailed and looks more techy with the added effects on his wings, claws and the blades. The skin will also have an idle animation.

As you can see in the image above, the orbiting swords are much more detailed and do not look like a hologram as before.

In the revamped version, his second skill charge animation looks more deadly and majestic with the added effects and looks like Saber is a fighter jet charging towards his enemy.

The triple sweep animation is also refined and the animation for the drop down looks much more impactful than before.

Exquisite Collection System

The Grand Collection’s name is changed to Exquisite Collection which uses the gacha draw system for Collector skins. The prizepool will be updated and available on the very first day of every month. Each draw will cost 50 diamonds and for the very first draw of the day, you will get a 50% discount and can draw for only 25 Diamonds. For a 10x draw, you will have to spend 500 diamonds which will be discounted by 30% for the very first 10x draw, resulting in a deducted cost of only 350 Diamonds. A special skin is guaranteed in the first 10x draws.

What makes the system special is that players who have been farming their crystal of Aurora’s for a long time will be able to spend it here.

Moonton has also decided to change the UI for the Collector draw system which will look the following image:

The Premium supply is an event where you can get the draw tokens for the Exquisite Collection for completing the following tasks. This time you can get up to 9 tokens in total.

Kimmy’s New Collector Skin

The main spotlight for the January, 2026 Exquisite Collection will be Kimmy’s new collector skin - Starbound Sentry. The skin gives an outer space explorer vibes and looks much similar to Lesley’s aspirant skin because of the big gun in Kimmy’s hand. The skin will also have an idle animation.

Kimmy’s enhanced bullets now hit like a truck with the enhanced effect of the skin.

Kimmy’s Anti Grav Thruster looks like she is firing literal cosmic meteorites at the enemy which will blow them apart.

The Red and blue colour theme of the skin is making her starlium Beam look more cosmic and adding an Aura effect to it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Moonton’s decision for the skin revamps and system reworks aim at upgrading the game and keeping it up to date. Many skins with higher tier do not live up to its name, like the Alucard Legend and Moonton’s project reforge is a revolution to give the players what they deserve. Personally, I am very excited for the Saber legend skin and am going to spend a lot to make it mine. I highly recommend you to go for the Exquisite collection for a collector skin at a much cheaper prize.
