Crystal Storm & Crystallized Zombies
A strange crystal has crashed onto the Zombie Uprising map, triggering a crystal erosion energy storm. The surrounding zombies have mutated into dangerous crystallized monsters, empowered by this energy.
Defeating these enemies drops Energy Crystals, a vital resource for both offense and defense. These crystals allow players to
- level up
- deal more damage
- reduce incoming damage
The energy is team-shared, and Each level-up also has a chance to unlock an additional random combat buff. So your entire squad benefits from stronger buffs the more you collect.
Tactical Tip: The closer you get to the center of the map, the stronger the monsters become. It's recommended to start farming in the outer areas to level up safely before heading to the core zones or challenging bosses.
New Bosses – Locations , Mechanism & Strategies
Hunter (Sickle-and-Shield Boss)
Location: Underground at Garnet Maison
Mechanism:
- This boss is fast-moving and heavily armored. Armed with a sickle and shield, it uses its massive shield to block bullets and charge at you to knock you back, posing a serious threat in close quarters.
- However, its shield can be broken during combat. Once shattered, the boss is temporarily stunned, exposing it to attacks from all sides. This is the ideal time to deal maximum damage and bring it down.
Strategies: Focus fire on the shield first, then go all-in during the stun window.
Radiation Zone Boss – Dr. X
Location: Rooftop of the Mine Warehouse in the radiation zone center
Mechanism:
- In the first phase, Dr. X uses a mix of close-range and ranged attacks. These include a sweeping arm strike, a fast triple combo that ends with a ground-smashing AoE, and a continuous beam laser that deals high damage over time.
- Once Dr. X drops below 50% health, it enters phase two by activating nearby energy tanks that heal it and reduce incoming damage. At the same time, its attacks become more dangerous, with upgraded area-of-effect strikes and a more powerful laser.
Strategies: To win, you’ll need to constantly reposition, dodge attacks, and prioritize destroying those energy tanks to stop its recovery.
Genetic Code & Boss Incubation System
Defeated bosses now drop Genetic Codes, which come in different qualities. These codes can be placed in the Incubation Chamber to generate new bosses.
Higher-quality codes increase the chance of producing elite bosses, creating a progression loop where strong enemies unlock even greater challenges. This adds a strategic dimension to both PvE farming and loot planning.
New Special Weapon: Thunderclap Adjudicator
The Thunderclap Adjudicator is a new melee weapon that deals high damage to zombies and gives a massive speed boost when held. What sets it apart is that it’s permanent—it persists across deaths and even between seasons, meaning you never lose it once acquired.
It drops randomly from crystallized monsters or from labeled bosses in any Metro Royale map. Once you get one, it becomes your go-to weapon for fast zombie clears and hit-and-run farming runs.
This makes it especially useful in Zombie Uprising, where your gear is safe. Many players now run optimized “speed farm” loadouts just to chase this sword efficiently.
Efficient Farming Guide for the Thunderclap Adjudicator
Farming the Thunderclap Adjudicator in Zombie Uprising is not only efficient but also low-risk, thanks to the mode’s no-gear-loss system. Even if you die, fail to evacuate, or disconnect mid-match, your equipment will stay intact. This means you can bring in strong gear without hesitation.
To maximize efficiency, here’s a recommended loadout that balances survivability, damage output, and utility:
Armor:
- Level 6 Armor Vest (Attachments: 1× Radiation Plate, 2× Exoskeletons)
Weapons:
- MK14 for all-around use
- S12K shotgun for close-range boss bursting
Ammo:
- 170 rounds of HE 7.62mm (for PvP emergencies)
- 80 rounds of HE 12 Gauge
- 250 rounds of Polished 12 Gauge (for boss clearing)
Healing & Utility:
- 6× Energy Drinks
- 4× First Aid Kits
- 2× Frag Grenades
- 1× Adrenaline Syringe
Estimated Cost: Around 170,000 Metro Cash
Talent Recommended
At the start of the match, it’s best to avoid early engagements with other players. Instead, locate the nearest boss and take it out quickly using your S12K. If you spawn far from any boss zone, skip the outer areas and head directly to the radiation zone, where higher-value targets await.
The Mine Warehouse rooftop is your destination. You can zipline directly onto the roof where Dr. X spawns. There’s a known safe spot just above the zipline anchor—climbing up to it prevents the boss from reaching you, allowing you to safely eliminate nearby mobs using Molotovs and ranged attacks.
Once the boss is down, deposit your most valuable loot into the encrypted crate and evacuate. Even without the Thunderclap drop, you’re likely to earn over 200,000 Metro Cash in profit. If you’re well-supplied and feeling confident, you can continue farming zombies elsewhere on the map to push your earnings even further.

Nightfall Dangers & Dynamic Encounters
As night falls, the battlefield becomes even more hostile. Incubation air drops may fall from the sky. Destroying them may offer high-value supplies, but sometimes powerful monsters. Defeating them, however, also provides exceptional loot rewards.
Besides, Random bosses may spawn unexpectedly, turning the tide at any moment. This mechanic also extend to other Metro Royale maps, so awareness and preparedness are crucial even outside of Zombie Uprising.
Exploration Additions & Loot Mechanics
• Portable Experiment Server
A new interactive object has been added to Zombie Uprising. If you successfully decrypt the Portable Experiment Server, you’ll be rewarded with rare loot. But failure will trigger a zombie horde alert, surrounding your location in seconds.
• Traveling Merchant
You may encounter a mysterious merchant during exploration. Players can exchange standard sellable items for high-value sellables and consumables, providing new ways to manage your economy and inventory.
• Password-Protected Door
Keep an eye out for password-locked doors. Behind them may lie unique surprises — possibly hidden loot or lore-based discoveries.
Fabled Sellable Items & Collection System
Two new fabled-tier sellable items have been introduced: Portable Microscope & Portable Centrifuge. These high-value items cannot be stored in the lockbox—you must successfully extract with them.
Extracting with either has a chance to trigger a Lucky Packet, which grants random bonus rewards and can be shared in the Metro Royale Channel.
The Collectibles Cabinet has also been upgraded. You can now store rare and seasonal items to show off your achievements. If you manage to secure a Fabled Collectible, you'll unlock powerful ability boosts that last until the end of the following season.
Conclusion
Crystal Outbreak isn't just a new mode—it's a new mindset. With no gear loss, elite-tier loot, and PvE encounters that reward strategy as much as firepower, this is your best chance to dive into Metro Royale and come out rich. From high-speed boss farming to collectible hunting, there's something for every type of player in Chapter 27.
