Hi, Explorers! If your Camp upgrades are getting slower, your squads are starting to lose fights, or your resources always seem one step behind, your Research is probably the problem.

In Palmon: Survival, Research is not a side system. It quietly boosts almost everything: building speed, resource output, squad size, Armigo strength, Guild Duel points, Airship safety, and late-game combat power. The tricky part is that not every tech tree gives the same value early on.

This guide breaks down what each Research tree does, what to prioritize first, and how to avoid wasting speedups on low-impact upgrades.

Research Priority

For most growing accounts, this is a practical order to follow:

1. Development

2. Palmon

3. Squad 1

4. Guild Duel

5. Growth

6. Armigo

7. Airship Trading

8. Super Armigo

You do not need to max everything in order. The goal is to unlock the upgrades that speed up your whole account first, then move into combat and event-focused research.

Development Research

Development should be your first focus because it improves your basic account speed.

Prioritize:

· Research speed

· Building speed

· Training speed

· Healing speed

· Camp Order value

Research speed is especially important. The earlier you improve it, the more time it saves across every later tech. Building speed and Camp Order upgrades also help when you are pushing Camp levels and unlocking new systems.

Growth Research

Growth focuses on your economy. It improves resource production and gathering, including Wood, Steel, Gold, and other base resources.

This tree matters because research, building, training, and healing all consume resources. If your economy is weak, your speedups become harder to use because you will keep running out of materials.

Focus on Growth when:

· Your Camp upgrades are blocked by resources

· You are short on Wood, Steel, or Gold every day

· You need better long-term resource production

· You want stronger value from resource-related Camp Orders

Growth can also improve Secret Stash, which becomes more valuable as your account grows. However, do not rush deep Growth research before finishing your key Development and squad unlocks.

Palmon Research

Palmon Research is one of the best early power boosts because it can unlock extra Palmon slots for your squad.

If you are still limited to five Palmon, unlocking the 6th and 7th slots should be a top priority when available. More Palmon means more damage, more utility, better team coverage, and stronger performance in PvE and PvP.

After unlocking extra slots, focus on Palmon stat upgrades that match your main team. If your strongest squad is built around one type, prioritize attack, damage, HP, and defense upgrades for that type first instead of spreading research evenly across everything.

Best approach:

· Unlock extra Palmon slots first

· Upgrade your main Palmon type before side types

· Prioritize attack and damage before defensive stats

· Return to HP and defense later

A focused main squad is much stronger than several half-upgraded squads.

Armigo Research

Armigos are your troop units. Your Palmon lead the squad, but Armigos add a huge amount of battle power behind them.

Armigo Research improves stats such as:

· Armigo attack

· Armigo defense

· Armigo HP

· Load capacity

This matters because you bring large numbers of Armigos into battle. Even a small stat increase can become meaningful when multiplied across your whole squad.

That said, do not rush load capacity too early. Load upgrades are useful for resource hauling, but they usually do not change combat results as much as attack, damage, HP, or squad capacity upgrades.

For most players:

· Combat stats first

· Load capacity later

· Do not over-invest here before Squad 1 and Guild Duel research

Squad Research

Squad Research is usually split by squad. Your first squad should receive the most attention because it handles most of your important fights.

Prioritize Squad 1 before spreading resources into Squad 2 or Squad 3.

Important Squad upgrades include:

· Expanded squad capacity

· Hunting Expedition upgrades

· Armigo carrying capacity

· PvE and monster fight improvements

· PvP-focused upgrades such as Cull

Expanded Squad is especially important because it allows your squad to bring more Armigos. More Armigos means more total power, better fighting ability, and better results in both PvE and PvP.

If you are struggling against monsters, bosses, or NPC fights, Hunting Expedition upgrades can help. If you are preparing for PvP or Saturday Guild Duel, PvP-focused nodes become more valuable.

Simple rule: make Squad 1 strong first. A strong main squad beats three weak squads.

Guild Duel Research

Guild Duel becomes very important once your server gets more competitive. The rewards can include valuable items for Palmon growth, evolution, and long-term account power.

Guild Duel Research helps you score better and unlock more chests. This is why it becomes a serious priority after your basic speed and main squad upgrades are in place.

Focus on Guild Duel Research when:

· Your guild is active

· You can join each Guild Duel stage

· You are close to unlocking more reward chests

· You want more long-term Palmon growth materials

If you cannot consistently participate in Guild Duel, this tree can wait. But if your guild is active, investing here pays off quickly.

Airship Trading Research

Airship Trading can bring rare items, but it also comes with risk because airships can be looted.

This research tree can help by:

· Reducing trading time

· Lowering the chance of losses

· Improving Airship-related rewards

· Unlocking better trading efficiency

Full Throttle-type upgrades are useful because shorter trading time means less time exposed to attacks. Some later upgrades also improve special Airship value or reduce risk.

Still, Airship Trading should not come before your core development, main squad, and Guild Duel progress. Treat it as a mid-to-late game efficiency tree.

Super Armigo Research

Super Armigo Research is mainly for players pushing into higher-tier Armigos and stronger late-game battles.

This tree improves Armigo combat strength and can support advanced training progress. It becomes much more important when your Armigo Hut and base level are high enough to chase top-tier Armigos.

Do not rush this too early. If your Camp, Academy, Squad 1, and basic Armigo research are still behind, Super Armigo research will feel expensive and slow.

Start caring about Super Armigo when:

· Your Armigo Hut is already high level

· You are preparing for serious PvP

· Your main squad research is mostly stable

· You need stronger late-game troop scaling

Resource Tips for Research Progress

Research is not only about choosing the right tech. You also need enough resources to keep your queue moving.

Use these habits:

· Do not open all resource chests at once

· Save level-scaling chests for higher Camp levels

· Open resource chests only when you need them

· Use Resource Choice Chests carefully

· Prioritize Electricity when it becomes a bottleneck

Electricity becomes more important later, especially for advanced tech scaling. Wood, Steel, and Gold are always useful, but Electricity is often harder to maintain long-term.

For worker setup, match Palmon skills with the right job. Use Wood-output Palmon for Logging, Steel-output Palmon for Smelting, Gold-output Palmon for Shop work, and Electricity-output Palmon for Charging jobs. Output traits are best for short, high-value production jobs, while energy-saving traits are better for longer jobs like Mining or Gold work.

Speedup Tips

Research speedups are valuable. Do not dump them randomly.

Best practice:

· Use small speedups for cheap early research

· Save large speedups for long research nodes

· Wait for event windows when possible

· Pair research pushes with Guild Duel or ranking missions

· Always ask for guild help before speeding up

If a speedup event is coming soon, hold your big research completions. The research result is the same, but completing it during the right event gives extra rewards.

Best Research Path for Most Players

Here is a clean path to follow:

Early Game

· Push Development

· Upgrade research speed and building speed

· Unlock key Camp Order improvements

· Start Growth only when resources block progress

Early to Mid Game

· Unlock 6th and 7th Palmon slots

· Build your main Palmon type

· Start Squad 1 upgrades

· Increase squad capacity

Mid Game

· Push Guild Duel Research

· Improve Armigo combat stats

· Continue Growth for resource stability

· Save big speedups for event windows

Late Game

· Work on Airship Trading

· Push Super Armigo

· Improve secondary squads

· Finish HP, defense, load, and utility research

Final Thoughts

Research shapes your long-term progress in Palmon: Survival. Start with Development, unlock more Palmon slots, build your main squad, and save big speedups for event windows.
