Have you ever dreamed of catching the most elusive fish in Stardew Valley? Well, you've come to the right place! There are five fish in the game classified as "legendary". These rare swimmers can only be found in specific locations and are notoriously tough to reel in—they'll test your fishing skills like nothing else! During the fishing minigame, these fish proudly wear a crown, so you'll know exactly when you've hooked something special. Legendary fish can only be caught once per save file (or once per player in Multiplayer), so make every cast count!

Also, a quick note before we dive in: all the images from the original document have been preserved. They will appear at the end of each fish section as in the original—just don't forget to upload them separately when you publish the final guide! The example image is set in autumn, but the fishing location is not affected by seasonal changes.

Editor's Difficulty Ranking (from hardest to easiest): Mutant Carp > Angler > Crimsonfish > Glacierfish > The Legend

Pro Tip: The high difficulty of these fish makes catching them challenging. You might need a higher Fishing level than the minimum required just to hook them, food bonuses (like from Seafoam Pudding) can give you that extra edge. Having an Iridium Rod or Advanced Iridium Rod and using a Tackle such as the Trap Bobber or Cork Bobber can also help you tremendously. Ultimately, catching these fish can depend more on luck than on good reactions. So don't get discouraged —simply try again and again until the fish doesn't move too fiercely. Patience is key

Legendary Fish II

There are five legendary fish II that can be caught during Qi's "Extended Family" quest. They are caught in the exact same locations (with season and weather restrictions removed) and have the same difficulty levels as the original legendary fish. One small difference: the fishing bar is the standard green bar without the distinctive crown marking like the original legendaries have. And here's the best part—unlike the original legendary fish, these can be caught more than once, and they don't have that massive 5x experience multiplier.

Important: You cannot catch these fish when the quest isn't active. The hooking chances for these fish are the same as for the original legendaries.

Conclusion

So there you have it, fellow angler—a complete guide to tracking down all the legendary fish in Stardew Valley! Whether you're after the rain-soaked Legend in the Mountain Lake, the fiery Crimsonfish off the eastern pier, or the irradiated Radioactive Carp lurking in the Sewers, preparation is everything. Stock up on Seafoam Pudding for that Fishing buff, equip your Iridium Rod with a Trap Bobber (it's a lifesaver when those fish go on a rampage!), and don't forget to pack some patience. These legendary fish are called "legendary" for a reason—they'll test your skills, your reactions, and sometimes your sanity. But when you finally see that crown pop up on your screen and hear that satisfying ca-ching of a legendary catch, trust me, it's all worth it. Now grab your rod, bait your hook, and happy fishing! May the fish gods be ever in your favor.
