Adelyde: Anabasis as the first [Overlinker] Class character, she brings unique team buffs and powerful support abilities. Commandants can obtain [Adelyde: Anabasis] x1 for free through [Journal of Promise], with her 6★ Weapon [Unforsaken Beacon], exclusive CUB [Kelpie], and more rewards available through the [Service Shop].

 

Core Mechanics

Adelyde: Anabasis’main mechanic is all about managing her Echo Value. She consumes Echo Value to empower her attacks, and the more she uses, the stronger her abilities become. Once her resources are depleted, she can use her signal orbs to recover Echo Value and build up buffs for her next damage phase.

She can also switch between different combat forms, adapting her attacks based on the situation and creating stronger skill rotations. As the first-ever Overlinker character, Adelyde brings a unique team-support mechanic, giving incoming teammates extra buffs and enhancing the entire squad when Matrix is activated.

Basically, her playstyle is: use resources to boost damage → rebuild resources and stack buffs → switch forms for explosive attacks → empower the whole team.

SS3 ＞ SSS ＞ SS ＞ S5

S5:

S5 is mainly a quality-of-life upgrade for Adelaide. She can trigger available QTEs when using her charged third or fourth orb, as well as when using her ultimate. This makes her rotation smoother and gives you more opportunities to fit QTEs into her burst window.

SS:

SS makes Adelaide more usable in actual combat, but her rotation and damage are still not fully optimized. She can trigger available QTEs when allies are on the field during Matrix, and her third and fourth orb damage also goes up. It's a useful upgrade, but she still has some limitations with her rotation speed and consistency.

SS3:

SS3 is the main breakpoint I would recommend aiming for. Her charged orb animation becomes noticeably faster, her damage and team buffs are improved, and she gets much more consistent access to her double-ultimate rotation. This is basically the point where Adelaide starts feeling much smoother and more complete in both Dark and Slash teams.

SSS:

SSS is her full-investment upgrade. It further improves her rotation, damage ceiling, and team support. She gets stronger QTE-related buffs, better damage after swapping in, and significantly improved performance in her bullet configuration. It's great for players who want to maximize Adelaide, but it's not necessary for most players.

If you're low on resources, SS3 is the main stopping point I'd recommend. SS is enough to start using her, but SS3 fixes a lot of her rotation issues and gives her a much more consistent damage cycle. Since Adelaide is a free character and you can obtain additional shards through events and the various in-game shops, getting her to SS3 should be a pretty realistic goal for most players.

 

Weapon

Unforsaken Beacon

Adelyde’s signature weapon can be obtained for free through the Service Shop, so there is no need to pull for it.

The main purpose of her signature weapon is to further improve her damage output and optimize her rotation. It provides:

• Weapon Resonance options
• Increased ATK
• Enhanced damage for her third and fourth orb charged attacks

 

Recommended Weapon Resonance Priority

• Superconducting Axial Ray

Provides a more consistent overall damage increase while improving both Adelyde’s personal damage and team rotation efficiency. This is the recommended first choice.

• Glorious Spear

Further enhances Adelyde’s damage output and is suitable for players who want to maximize her personal DPS.

• Incandescent

A secondary option that can be used later to further increase overall damage.

Deadline Timing is not a mandatory resonance for Adelyde. Unless your Adelyde has lower investment and struggles to consistently complete her double ultimate rotation, it is not a priority.

For players with limited resources, it is generally more efficient to prioritize the more functional and team-oriented weapon resonances first.

CUB

Adelyde’s exclusive CUB, Sniping Swordfish, can also be obtained for free. This CUB mainly focuses on increasing Adelyde’s damage output while improving the smoothness of her rotation.

This is one of Adelyde’s strongest Dark team setups. Bianca provides the main burst damage, while Adelyde supplies Overlinker buffs, additional damage support, and team utility. Rosetta provides Dark resistance shred and additional damage, allowing the team to fully utilize Adelyde’s Dark damage amplification. This setup has the highest damage potential for players who already have a highly invested Bianca.

This is Adelyde’s main Slash team setup. Hong Ying provides Slash stacks and physical defense reduction, allowing the team to maximize Slash damage bonuses.
