Pokémon GO is celebrating its 10-year Anniversary and it really has been a joyride. The game that has been around since 2016 has come to be a phenomenon even for celebrities. The best part is that it also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

The anniversary event celebrating the game is called Memories in Motion. It is a seasonal celebration, from 3 March to 2 June. What's Your Favorite: New Feature

Perhaps the most exciting addition for the 10th anniversary is What's Your Favorite. You can access this by using the Augmented Reality. This will allow you to connect with the Pokémon you love most. Players who have not caught them out there can still take photos with them.

This feature is available either on the login page or through the camera menu in-game. After selecting any Pokémon from the available pool, you can click photos with them. You can also utilize 10th-anniversary stickers and frames for decorating your photos. You can also see some of the Pokémon of famous personalities like Lady Gaga, Charles Leclerc, and Jisoo from Blackpink. They have revealed their preferences to launch the campaign.

Anniversary Special Research and Mythical Encounters

Pokémon GO has added two key Special Research stories for this season's anniversary, and both of them include Mythical encounters. These stories are available to all trainers permanently.

The Memories in Motion Daily Discoveries

The 10th anniversary introduces a Daily Discovery schedule. Each day of the week provides a bonus throughout the season. These bonuses repeat weekly.

• Max Monday: Power Spots refresh more frequently, and more Power Spots are active.
• Showcase Tuesday: Up to 20 different PokéStop Showcase categories are active.
• Raid Wednesday: 5-star and Mega Raid bosses rotate. Raid Hour occurs from 6 to 7 PM
• Battle Thursday: 4x Stardust from win rewards. The max sets increased to 10, that is, 50 battles
• Friendship Friday: Up to 2 Special Trades with increased Lucky Trade chance and -10% Stardust cost
• Lure Sunday: All Lure Modules, including Mossy, Glacial, and more, last twice as long.

You can share your favorite Pokémon GO memories on social media and win grand prizes. These prizes include trips to the GO Fest 2026 locations in:

Eggs and Shiny Opportunities

The anniversary brings back all the fan-favorites and introduces new shiny possibilities.
