PUBG MOBILE 4.2 is already peeking over the horizon: the beta’s rolling out now and most players expect the full update in early 2026. According to latest beta, the new themed mode, PrimeWood Genesis Mode, gives Erangel a “magic plant” makeover around both Pochinki and Yasnaya, with giant vines, glowing loot and even a rideable scorpion turning your usual city drops into pure, chaotic, clip-worthy madness for squads everywhere.

New “Magic Plants” Hot Drops in Pochinki and Yasnaya

Once players load into the leaked build, the first thing they notice is a towering World Tree and clusters of massive vines rising into the sky. The new magic plant hot drop areas appear within the classic landmarks of Pochinki and Yasnaya Polyana, turning both locations into high-risk, high-reward zones for early-game fights.

Visually, each zone leans into a green-yellow palette with a touch of ancient Egyptian flair. The estate-like complex is split into two main parts: a green-yellow “sub hall” and a blue-toned “main hall.” As usual for PUBG MOBILE, the main hall is clearly designed to be the most contested area, packing the fiercest firefights and the richest loot density into a relatively tight layout.

Although these areas are still a work in progress, the map already shows plenty of spots reserved for interaction. These locations are expected to trigger special events that drop airdrop-tier loot and grant unique, plant-themed items.

Scattered across both zones, certain special items also spawn with bright, glowing green leaf effects, making them easy to spot from a distance.
Guardian Flowers and a Map-Wide Plant Boss

The hot drop also introduces new PvE threats. Some buildings are shielded by a “boss” plant: approach and you’ll trigger a Guardian Flower encounter. This plant acts like a stationary turret, firing at players and applying sustained damage over time. Its attack range is long – roughly 30 meters by eye – and its health pool is noticeably thick, so you can’t just poke it down with a couple of bullets.
Defeating a Guardian Flower unlocks the sealed building behind it, which is expected to contain higher-tier, “precious” loot. That makes these structures mini-raid targets: risky to approach under enemy fire, but very rewarding if your squad manages to clear both players and plant defenses.

On top of that, a larger “plant boss” can spawn randomly elsewhere on the map and will be marked for all players, turning it into a rotating PvE objective. This boss is considered more dangerous than the Guardian Flower. It appears as a main flower accompanied by three smaller flower minions; all of them fire continuous attacks similar in style to the Guardian, but at a higher frequency. Taking down this plant boss is said to reward level 2 to level 3 loot, giving squads a strong incentive to contest it.
Portals to the Vine Temple

Another twist: portals can randomly appear around the map. Stepping into one teleports the player to the top of the giant vine cluster seen at the beginning of the match.

Up there sits a temple-like structure, extending the verticality of the mode. Based on the current leak, this vine-top temple may also house higher-tier loot and unique special items that have the potential to swing fights or shift the flow of a match, making it a location squads may want to contest if it remains in the final version.

New Item
Scorpion Horn – Summon a Plant Scorpion
The headline new item in the leak is the Scorpion Horn, which lets players summon a plant-themed scorpion mount. The scorpion has its own HP bar, but the rider isn’t fully protected – enemies can still shoot the exposed player directly. On flat ground, the scorpion travels at around 40 km/h, making it a mobile but vulnerable platform.
The scorpion comes with three skills:
- Skill 1 – Claw Combo: a three-stage melee string. The first two hits alternate left and right claws, while the third slam brings both claws down onto the ground for a heavier strike.
- Skill 2 – Burrow: the scorpion dives underground to move quickly, reaching up to 72 km/h while burrowed and letting the rider reposition aggressively or escape fire.
- Skill 3 – Launch Spikes: fires three spikes per shot in a burst. The scorpion can store up to five charges; one charge is reloaded roughly every three seconds, encouraging players to manage their spike bursts instead of spamming them.
Lumina Fruit Bud – Loot For Your Next Match

The Lumina Fruit Bud is a long-term investment item. Players plant it on open ground, but it does not bear fruit in the current match. Instead, its fruit will appear in the next game at the exact same spot where the seed was planted. When harvested, the fruit grants a full set of level 3 gear – helmet, vest and backpack – plus an airdrop-grade weapon. This creates a new “pre-load” strategy where players can seed future games with guaranteed high-tier loadouts.
Flower Wing – Low-Altitude Flight

The Flower Wing lets players glide at low altitude, moving slightly faster than normal sprinting. It has a two-stage active skill: the first activation sends the user dashing diagonally upward for a short distance, while the second activation dives diagonally downward. When the user lands from the dive, they deal damage in a circular area at the impact point, turning mobility into an offensive tool.
Lashing Vine – Scouting With Living Terrain

Finally, Lashing Vine is a vision and control tool. When activated, it summons a ring of vines around the player, then launches a single vine forward that keeps crawling ahead. Players can steer this moving vine left and right to scout or pressure a direction. However, the vine cannot pass through walls or doors, so it has to snake through open pathways rather than phasing through solid cover.
Conclusion
For now, all we can do is theorycraft: will squads rush the World Tree for early loot, camp the roaming plant boss, or turn the scorpion into everyone’s new meme vehicle? However the final PUBG MOBILE 4.2 update shakes out, one thing’s certain – your next chicken dinner might come with a lot more vines, flowers, and one very angry arthropod.
