Ms. Stranger will be released on 3rd Sep., transitioning from the enigmatic NPC to a full-fledged member of your squad. As a 6-star Mineral DPS who deals Mental damage, she brings one of the most unique mechanics we've seen in Reverse: 1999.
LDShop summaries her build to help you master how to use her and build your best team.

Core Mechanics
The centerpiece of Ms. Stranger's kit is her special card, "A Moth to a Flame" . Here's a simplified breakdown:
The Basics
At battle start , a locked special card appears at the leftmost position of your hand. This card cannot be used or moved while locked. To unlock it, you must deplete all cards to its right by playing them, discarding them via Tuning, or having them removed through ally effects. Once the special card reaches the rightmost position, it unlocks at the start of the next turn, granting Ms. Stranger +3 Moxie.

Moving the Card Faster
Several mechanics help you shift the special card rightward more quickly:
Insight III: The first special card generated in battle immediately moves 8 positions right and gains 16 enhancement stacks.
"Last Piece of Herself": Each stack consumed moves the card right by 1 position (up to 4 stacks per card) and grants 2 enhancement stacks per stack consumed. You gain these stacks by breaking enemy Inspiration Gauges or casting Skill 1 when it's positioned to the right of the special card
Enhancements: The Four Wing Types
The special card gains up to 4 stacks of each of 4 enhancement types based on what cards your allies actively use:
|
Enhancement Type |
Trigger |
Effect per Stack |
|---|---|---|
|
Type 1 |
1-target attack/debuff |
+110% Mental DMG; primary target gets +440% Mental DMG |
|
Type 2 |
Mass attack/debuff |
+330% Mental DMG; +1 target count |
|
Type 3 |
Buff/Counter |
+8% Crit Rate, +12% Ultimate Might |
|
Type 4 |
Heal/Channel |
+12% Crit DMG, +12% Incantation Might |
When fully stacked, her special card becomes an absolute nuke with multipliers reaching ~3960% on the primary target.
Skill Breakdown
Skill 1: Cocoon Breaker
Deals 200%/300%/500% Mental DMG based on star level. If cast to the RIGHT of the special card: Grants 2 stacks of "Last Piece of Herself" , this is what you generally want for cycling. If cast to the LEFT of the special card: Deals double damage (additional 200%/300%/500%) instead. Situational burst option.
You'll typically want to save this card to play on the right side of future special cards to maintain your two-turn rotation.

Skill 2: Phototactic Instinct
Deals 180%/270%/450% Mental DMG to all enemies.Inflicts "Self-Deception" for 3 rounds: target takes -20% DMG Reduction. When the special card hits a debuffed enemy: +15% Crit Rate, +30% Crit DMG for that attack.
Reapply this every 3 turns, especially before your big special card turns.
Ultimate: Implanted Memories

Cleanses all debuffs from self.Grants "New Life" for 2 rounds: +20% DMG Reduction, +40% DMG Bonus, +20% Penetration Rate for special cards.
Grants 1 stack of "Silent Flutter" (up to 10 stacks).
Silent Flutter: After Ms. Stranger actively uses any attack incantation, consumes 1 stack to cast a bonus "A Moth to a Flame" with 2 stacks of each enhancement type. This is NOT counted as an extra action.
Your ultimate enables follow-up special card nukes. Always cast it before your main special card turn when possible.
Best Teams & Synergies
Team 1:
|
Ms. Stranger |
Rhiannon |
Enigma |
Charon |
This is her optimal team. Charon provides card-clearing (discards his own cards on Ultimate), Dynamo field benefits, and Ritual simplification for the teammate before him. Enigma maintains the Dynamo field and provides solid buffs. Rhiannon is practically a perfect match her cards cost no AP, she provides strong buffs/debuffs, and she naturally cycles through her hand.
Team 2:
|
Ms. Stranger |
Recoleta(Euphoria) |
Rhiannon |
|
Recoleta at P1 with her Euphoria unlocked becomes a surprisingly strong partner for Ms. Stranger, her Flood of Fiction can stack multiple Silent Flutter charges on Ms. Stranger, setting up a burst that feels almost like a nuke."

Notes |
|---|---|---|
|
Best |
Until I Am Me (Signature) |
+16% Crit Rate, +24% Crit DMG, +24% Power for special cards. Immediate value with no ramp-up. |
|
Good alternative |
Long Night Talk |
When the Carrier has 2 or more [Pos Status] buffs, DMG Dealt +8% when attacking. When the Carrier uses a Buff Incantation, gain ATK +2.5%, stacks up to 5 times. Strong option, especially at high Amplification. Slightly awkward to fully stack but still solid. |
|
Situational |
|
For each enemy target defeated by the carrier, Ultimate Might +8% for the carrier. Stacks up to 4 times. Requires kill stacking to maximize Ritual Power. Decent in mob-heavy content. |
If you already have a well-invested Long Night Talk, you can save your Shop currency and skip the signature Psychube. The performance gap isn't dramatic.
Resonance
Stack Attack and Crit stats primarily. For Frequency Tuning, activate the Insight option that boosts Ultimate Might , this directly benefits her special card damage.

Should You Pull?
Consider pulling if:
You need a strong Mineral DPS.
You have the Dynamo core (Charon + Enigma) or other Ritual/Ultimate-focused supports
You're a new player lacking a primary DPS
You enjoy flexible units that aren't locked into a single archetype
Consider skipping if:
You already have invested Mineral DPS.
You don't have Dynamo or Ritual support units
You're saving for upcoming characters
Conclusion
Ms. Stranger is a flexible T1 Mineral DPS with a unique special card mechanic that rewards smart hand management. Her best teams revolve around Dynamo or Ritual supports, but she can work with many generalist options. At P0, she's already fully viable and delivers excellent frontloaded burst damage.
