Reverse:1999 Nautika Ultimate Guide - Skill Kit And Abilities

General Introduction

Nautika is a 6* Character of the Spirit Afflatus that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage to all enemies by constantly consuming her own and her allies’ HP in order to boost her damage output and fill her special Ultimate gauge in order to unleash her powerful ultimate against all enemies and clear the field. She is also one of the strongest DPS characters for the game’s special Bloodtithe mechanic.

Nautika Skill Kit

It is important to note that depending on Nautika’s Insight level, Nautika’s skill kit will change accordingly, making her a very interesting character that has a completely different and stronger skill kit upon reaching high levels of Insights. Depending on her insight level, her skill kit will be as followed:

- If Nautika Insight Level is 1 or below:

Nautika in this mode is her less powerful mode, with her Incantation Skills having barebone effects, making her a decent but not effective early game DPS character until her 2nd Insight level.

Nautika’s 1st Incantation skill in this mode grants all allies a damage buff and a damage received reduction buff, allowing her to boost the entire team’s damage output while protecting the team.

Nautika’s 2nd Incantation skill in this mode allow her to deal damage to 1 enemy, with the higher Skill ranking increasing her damage proportionally to her Max HP.

In this mode, Nautika does not have access to her Ultimate and won’t be able to use her Ultimate regardless of her Moxie level.

- If Nautika Insight Level is 2 and above:

Upon reaching Insight Level 2 or more, Nautika’s true power will be unleashed. When reaching this mode, Nautika’s entire skill kit will change and she will have access to the special Bloodtithe mechanic that accumulates whenever the party consumes HP. Additionally, Nautika will gain access to her Ultimate.

In this mode, Nautika’s 1st incantation skill has 2 different modes: Counter mode and Attack mode, and players can choose which mode to use whenever they use the skill. When in counter mode, the skill grants Nautika a strong buff that boosts the damage dealt by all allies and reduces the damage taken by all allies and consumes Nautika’s HP to boost her damage output. When in attack mode, the skill will consume a large amount of Nautika’s HP to fill the Bloodtithe gauge and allow Nautika to deal a massive single target damage hit.

Nautika’s 1st incantation skill

Nautika’s 2nd Skill in this mode allows her to massively consume her HP in order to deal 2 instances of AoE damage to up to 3 enemies, allowing her to clear enemies wave faster.

Nautika’s 2nd Skill

Nautika’s Ultimate will no longer consume Moxie but instead can only be used when she has enough Faith stack. Nautika gains Faith stack whenever an ally or herself consumes HP and fills the Bloodtithe gauge. This ultimate consumes all Bloodtithe gauge and deals massive amounts of damage to random enemies, with the more gauge consumed, the more damage instances Nautika deals.

Nautika Playstyle

As a main DPS option for the Max HP and Blootithe team, Nautika’s playstyle completely revolves around consuming and recovering HP in order to boost the Bloodtithe gauge and fill her Faith in order for her to use her Ultimate.

To play Nautika properly, players will need to properly manage her HP consumption and have her with teammates that can consume their HP in order to boost the Bloodtithe gauge as quickly as possible to fill her Faith gauge for her to use her Ultimate. Always activate her Counter mode Skill 1 before doing any damage to allow her to gain her special buff and alternate between her 1st skill Attack mode and 2nd skill to deal damage to enemies.

Nautika Best Resonances

Similar to her Psychubes and overall stats, players should focus on building Nautika with Resonances that boost her overall offensive capability with an emphasis on Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Max HP and Attack. Players should prioritize Critical Rate over Critical Damage due to Nautika’s high Critical Damage skill kit, balancing output her need of Critical Rate.

The best Resonances for Nautika includes:

- Pieces that boost her critical hit rate, max HP and attack stats, with a heavy emphasis on Max HP and Critical Rate%

- The Most Important Resonance Piece for Nautika is the Stupefaction Piece, which grants her massive amounts of Critical stats as well as HP boost, allowing Nautika to fulfill her stat requirements.

Nautika Portrays Analysis

Nautika Portrays Analysis

P1 - No Longer Poles Apart

Nautika’s 1st Portray helps improve her damage rotation by increasing the amount of Bloodtithe the team can produce at the start of the fight in addition to reducing the amount of Bloodtithe needed to be consumed for her to activate her Follow Up attacks, helping to boost her damage output.

Rating: Recommend - A generic good Portray level that boosts Nautika’s overall stat and lowers her follow up attack requirements, allowing her to deal damage more frequently.

P2 - Divine Yoik

Nautika’s 2nd portray level allows her to gain more buffs and deal more damage when her Ultimate is activated. In addition, the Portray level also lowers the requirements of Nautika’s Ultimate Bloodtithe consumption, allowing her to gain more damage instances when activating her Ultimate while consuming less Bloodtithe.

Rating: Extremely Recommend - An extremely strong boost to Nautika’s Ultimate damage by allowing her to deal more damage instances while being buffed with higher level buffs, skyrocketing her damage output.

P3 - No Longer Poles Apart

Natika’s 3rd portray level allows her to gain more healing upon losing her HP, helping to improve her survivability overall while also boosting her damage by increasing her damage conversion rate from Max HP to Attack stat.

Rating: Highly Recommend - A good portray level that boost her overall survivability in the long term.

P4 - Gates of Horn and Ivory:
Nautika’s 4th Portray level boosts the effects of all of her incantation skills and duration, helping her to boost her overall damage output in addition to allowing her buffs to last longer.

Rating: Recommended - A generic buff to Nautika’s overall damage output.

P5 - Divine Yoik

Nautika’s 5th and final Portray level further boosts her Ultimate damage output potential by further reducing her Ultimate requirements, allowing her to deal even more damage instances while consuming less Bloodtithe. Additionally, this Portray level also maximizes her Max HP to Attack conversion rate.

Rating: Highly Recommended - A strong buff to Nautika’s Ultimate damage and help her convert more of her HP to attack, boosting her overall damage output.

Portray Pulling Recommendation

As a main DPS option for Bloodtithe team, Nautika’s Portrays level helps further boost her damage output and make her an extremely powerful carry character. That being said, her skill kit is already extremely strong so players do not need to get her portray level for her to perform well in end game contents.

Portray level priority: Nautika’s best investment Portray level is her 2nd Portray, with further Portray levels being encouraged but not necessary.

Best Teammates & Team Compositions

Role In a Team

With such a damage focused skill kit with the ability to supply herself with powerful buffs to consume her own HP to deal massive damage against the enemies and fill up the Bloodtithe gauge, Nautika serves best as the Bloodtithe team central main DPS option.

Due to her skill kit revolving around HP consumption and Bloodtithe, pairing her with teammates that can take advantage of Bloodtithe effect and help either boost her HP consumption or heal her back up is extremely recommended.

Nautika Best Teammates & Team Compositions

As Nautika functions as the main DPS for a Bloodtithe team, teammates that function well under low HP and take advantage of the Bloodtithe effect are highly recommended to be slotted in her team. Additionally, players should bring at least a good sustain character that can consume the team’s HP while either providing a shield or healing the team back up.

The best teammates for Nautika are:

Semmelweis

- Semmelweis: Semmelweis is Nautika’s best teammate and by far her strongest ally, with her ability to not only constantly boost the team’s Bloodtithe gauge by consuming the team’s HP but also boost the damage output of the main DPS character by allowing them to consume more of their HP to boost the damage dealt. In a Bloodtithe team, Semmelweis is needed as the team’s best option to enable quick and easy Bloodtithe while dealing massive amounts of damage as a sub DPS character.

Sentinel

- Sentinel: Another sub DPS character that takes full advantage of the Bloodtithe effect whenever teammates consume their HP in order to boost both the team’s damage output as well as allowing Sentinel herself to deal massive amounts of Max HP based damage. Sentinel serves as the team’s single target damage option and helps the team to charge Bloodtithe by consuming her HP while being able to heal herself afterward.

Fatutu

- Fatutu: Fatutu is the team’s main sustain option thanks to her highly powerful healing effects and skill kit that can boost the follow up damage output of the entire team, which can help boost the damage of Nautika’s Follow Up Attacks. Additionally, Fatutu’s ability to redistribute all allies’ Max HP counts as consuming HP, allowing her to fill the team’s Bloodtithe as well despite not taking advantage of the effect.

Medicine Pocket/Flutterpage

- Medicine Pocket/Flutterpage: Medicine Pocket and Flutterpage are good alternatives characters that can be slotted in the team with Nautika to replace the other characters above if you don’t have them, with Medicine Pocket being a good healer that can constantly reduce allies’ HP to grant all allies shields and Flutterpage being an amazing Critical damage boosting support character to boost Nautika’s damage output.

Conclusion

With the release of Nautika, the overall meta of Reverse:1999 will be shaken up due to how powerful her skill kit and abilities are. Therefore, we hope that with this guide, players will be able to have a better understanding of how Nautika works and how to build her in order to maximize her damage capabilities for the game’s end game contents.
