Rubuska's Story

A Textbook Vampire

All the traits of a Vampire are embodied in Rubuska: skin so pale it seems almost transparent, fangs that glimmer faintly when she speaks with a smile, and eyes as red as blood. Deep within those eyes burns something inhuman—hunger, madness, or perhaps an even more unfathomable sorrow. Rubuska never conceals her identity as a Vampire; she doesn't mind licking the crimson from her fingertips before the crowd. The satisfied smile on her face makes people forget to question: why does sunlight only draw tears from this girl, instead of searing pain?

There's Always Another Job

Rubuska's wits are inborn. She always slips away at the very last moment before being caught, like a shadow that cannot be grasped, leaving her pursuers striking at nothing. With her quick-turning mind and just the right touch of luck, Rubuska manages to come out unscathed no matter how perilous the situation. In this chaotic world, she feels no shame for the way she makes her living, nor does she believe there will ever come a day when she fails.

Temporary Partner

The Danube Dawn—in its golden age, every journey was a social event where nobles and celebrities vied to attend. Now it is called the "Ark of Escape from Death," and no amount of money can buy a ticket. Once again, thanks to her "just-right" luck, Rubuska manages to board smoothly, becoming the temporary "assistant" of Foundation investigator Semmelweis. Together they embark on this once-luxurious line, unaware that it is bound for a night of death…

Insight: Happy Pied Piper

  • Precognition: When any ally loses HP, accumulate [Bloodtithe].
  • Insight I: When Rubuska is on the field, grant all allies [Shadow Friend]. Whenever any ally's [Shadow Cloak] reaches its maximum stacks, Rubuska's moxie increases. Self excess moxie will be temporarily stored and, if Rubuska has available capacity at the end of the round, it will be replenished.
  • Insight II: When entering battle, increase Max HP
  • Insight III: When entering battle, grant all allies [Grace of Rubuska I]. Whenever any ally is attacked, Rubuska heals all allies.

[Shadow Friend]: At the start of the round, lose a certain percentage of current HP. A portion of the HP lost by Rubuska through this effect is converted into [Shadow Cloak]. When Rubuska leaves the field, [Shadow Friend] is removed.

[Shadow Cloak]: Increase the character's Max HP / Crit DMG / Ultimate Might based on [Shadow Cloak] stacks.

[Grace of Rubuska I]: When the bearer takes lethal DMG, they will not leave the field and instead heal their HP.

Ultimate: Victory Belongs to 'Rubuska the First' !

1-target buff, target enters [Shadow Feast], and healsall allies.

[Shadow Feast]: Drain all [Shadow Cloak] from allies other than the target. The target gains a portion equal to the sum of the drained [Shadow Cloak]. The extra [Shadow Cloak] provided by this status does not affect the target's own [Shadow Cloak] gain and can exceed the normal limit. The Crit DMG / Ultimate Might gained from the extra [Shadow Cloak] is slightly lower than normal.

Rubuska's Psychubes & Resonances

Best Psychube

The Wandering Improviser (Ver.3.1)

The Wandering Improviser (Ver.3.1)

The optimal choice is "The Wandering Improviser" from the 3.1 event shop.

Its limited Mineral attribute boosts healing rate, and the ritual potency stacked upon taking damage synergizes well with Rubuska's attribute and frequent team-wide HP deduction. It provides approximately 5% team-wide damage amplification when fully upgraded, making it a versatile support Psychube, especially for teams centered around ritual-based DPS like Nautika.

Alternative Psychubes

Into the Gentle Current (Ver.S01)

Into the Gentle Current (Ver.S01)

Homecoming Lament (Ver.3.0)Homecoming Lament (Ver.3.0)

If you're lacking the necessary materials for upgrading, you can temporarily substitute "The Wandering Improviser" with Psychubes like Into the Gentle Current, Homecoming Lament or other 6-star Psychubes featuring HP affixes as transitional alternatives.

Recommended Resonances

Primary Focus: Prioritize four HP-focused resonance blocks to maximize Rubuska’s healing and buff effects, as both are directly tied to HP.

Secondary Focus: Supplement with some critical hit/critical damage resonance blocks and damage reduction blocks.

Recommended Resonances

Reasoning: Rubuska’s healing mechanics do not trigger critical hits, and only its ritual effects can crit, making critical hit/critical damage blocks less effective. HP blocks provide the highest returns for its core mechanics.

Core Mechanics

Rubuska focuses on HP deduction to stack buffs. It can automatically trigger HP deduction while AFK, accumulating buff stacks and Bloodtithe for the entire team.

Ultimate Effect: Upon activating the ultimate, all buffs are concentrated on the main DPS (Nautika), significantly boosting their short-term burst damage.

Playstyle: Use 1-2 Rubuska Incantation cards every two turns, enabling the ultimate by the third turn to rapidly enhance Nautika’s output.

Recommended Rubuska Portrait

P1: Increases the value and coverage of ritual buffs for the main DPS, significantly boosting Nautika’s output.

P2: Raises the cap on passive team-wide buff stacks, making it easier to max out and enhancing overall damage buffs (highly versatile).

P5: Improves the quality of passive team-wide buffs, adding critical damage and ritual potency, greatly increasing team-wide output.

Conclusion

With Rubuska joining the Bloodtithe team, her buffs and synergy with Nautika and Sentinel make her an essential addition for both damage and survivability. Even outside the Bloodtithe system, Rubuska can act as a strong healer to ensure team survival!
