Hermann (Prime) + Alp Arslan is one of the strongest modern Archer combinations.

This pairing is much newer than Arthur + Achilles, so its exact long-term ranking may still move as the meta settles.

Bai Qi's pairing guide identifies Liu Che as one of his strongest partners, especially for accounts running one or two Infantry marches.

The pairing delivers strong Smite damage and high offensive pressure.

However, if you already own Sun Tzu (Prime), putting Bai Qi behind him while pairing Liu Che with Philip II can produce a stronger complete multi-march lineup.

If Zhuge Liang is needed for another march, Yi Seong-Gye (YSG) remains a viable secondary for Qin Shi Huang.

Current pairing recommendations list both Zhuge Liang and YSG behind Qin Shi Huang, with Zhuge Liang considered the stronger standalone option. This can be particularly valuable for accounts that already have a fully developed YSG and want to avoid spending resources purely to replace him immediately.
