The Dress To Impress Halloween 2026 event, called The Night of Scream Queens, is live on Roblox and runs from October 17 at 3pm UTC to November 7 at 4pm UTC. The update arrived a week later than first planned, and one headline piece is still on its way: the Tales of the Dark King quest is scheduled for October 24. If you log in now you can already collect Candy, try two new minigames and work through the new Baddie Pass, so the rest of this guide is about spending those three weeks well.

How the three weeks are laid out

Think of the season as three beats. The first is launch day, which gave you the new lobby, runway, wardrobe, pass and minigames. The second is October 24, when Tales of the Dark King is expected to open. The third is the closing stretch before November 7, when anything limited stops being obtainable. The developers announced the delay on October 4, so the original schedule of October 10 no longer applies, and any older article quoting that date is out of step with the live game.

Because the quest lands in the middle, it makes sense to bank Candy and pass progress this week, then give the quest your full attention once it opens.

Tales of the Dark King: the Greek underworld quest

The new story quest was revealed at RDC2026 on September 11 and has a teaser trailer. Its official tagline describes a descent into the Greek underworld, where the dead still whisper and the past blurs into the present. It is confirmed as a three-chapter quest, and it is the third Halloween quest the game has run.

Two older threads sit beside it. Last year's quest comes back, and a smaller Lana quest is part of the season too, so the main adventure is a separate story from Lana's. The team has not published the quest rewards, the chapter objectives or the exact start time, so treat any walkthrough you see before October 24 as speculation. Past Halloween quests handed out items that left the game after the event, so it is safest to assume quest rewards are limited until the developers say otherwise.

Four ways to earn Candy

Candy is the seasonal currency that pays for the event shop. Official earning rates have not been published, so the table below sticks to what has been confirmed about each activity.

Returning

Back from 2025, where doors could give a runway effect, nothing, or a scare

Ghost Hunting is the only new activity with a confirmed Candy payout, so it is the sensible first stop. Some sources call it a minigame and others a game mode, since it runs in its own server, but the rewards are the same either way. In 2025 players also earned Candy from Baddie Pass levels and daily tasks, and it is reasonable to expect similar routes this year, though that is not confirmed.

Which pass is worth your Robux

Pass rules changed this year, and they are easy to misread. There is no new Diamond Pass. Instead, last year's Diamond Pass returns and costs Robux. The 2025 Baddie Pass also returns, but it opens only after you finish the new one. The new Halloween Baddie Pass is reported to have 40 tiers, longer than the 30 tiers players are used to, with cash, stars, cosmetics, faces and pass-exclusive clothing as rewards. Tier skips are reported at 199 Robux for one tier and 549 Robux for three, though only one outlet has listed those prices, so confirm them in the game before buying.

VIP

For most players the free route is enough: finish the new pass first, because it also opens the older one. VIP has historically sat around 799 Robux for the permanent version and 299 for the monthly one, but prices can change, so check the in-game shop.

Wardrobe highlights

The clothing selection goes well beyond basic costumes. The developers named the Star Witch set, with its anime influence, and a Mushroom set as personal favorites. Preview coverage also showed a mushroom hat, a cape and a firefly jar accessory, plus space-inspired fashion. Grunge and high-fashion pieces fill out the range.

Star Witch set

Men's clothing gets more attention this season, and many pieces made for the female body also fit the male body. The Haunting Beauty game pass set has been reworked visually, and the developers teased a batch of free faces for the update. If you are chasing a particular look, spend a few minutes in the dressing room racks, the VIP room and the weekly boutique before you commit any Candy.

Skin, hair and makeup upgrades

The skin menu in the salon was rebuilt. You can now choose colors from a wheel, a palette or a typed HEX code, and vitiligo patterns are fully colorable. More free and paid skin details are available too. Hair has new styles with recoloring at the styling stations, and the update adds new makeup looks. These tools matter most in themed rounds, where a precise skin tone or a custom mask can lift an entry more than another accessory.

A simple plan for the three weeks

Start with Ghost Hunting and the returning minigames to build a Candy balance, and push the new Baddie Pass in the background through normal runway rounds. Before October 24, decide whether you want any Robux items at all. When the quest opens, run it early, since quest rewards are the most likely items to disappear. In the final week, spend leftover Candy on whatever the shop offers, then check the pass one last time before the November 7 cutoff.

FAQ

Is Tales of the Dark King live yet?

Not as of October 21. Both the community wiki and Sportskeeda point to October 24, and the developer has only said it arrives the week after launch, so wait for the in-game portal before expecting chapters.

Do I need Robux to enjoy the Halloween event?

No. The new pass, the minigames and the free faces cost nothing. Robux covers tier skips, the returning Diamond Pass and VIP.

Will my old passes unlock on their own?

The 2025 Baddie Pass does not open at launch. It becomes available after you complete the new Baddie Pass, and the Diamond Pass has to be bought.

Do Dress To Impress codes give Candy?

No. Codes give cosmetic items and are separate from the Halloween rewards, so redeem them whenever you like.

What happens to Candy after November 7?

The event window ends then, and Candy items have been seasonal in past years. Spend your balance before the cutoff.
