SD Gundam G Generation Eternal 1.5th Anniversary Livestream Summary

The September 23rd SD Gundam G Generation Eternal 1.5th Anniversary livestream has ended, and there was a lot of information this time,from new banners, rerun banners, and free pulls to new tags and an event schedule running through the end of the year. 1.5th Anniversary Rewards Giveaway

The most immediately noticeable part of the 1.5th anniversary is still the rewards. The stream started by giving out a batch of diamonds, and with subsequent login bonuses, panel missions, special stages, WebStore bonuses, and more, the community roughly estimates total obtainable diamonds across the event at around 11,500. In addition, the classic 47 free pulls are back. Starting September 30, you can get tickets through missions, panels, and the event website. New Featured Banner: V2 Assault Buster Gundam, Zanspine, Gottrlatan, and Limited Warship

In the main banner on September 30, the limited URs are V2 Assault Buster Gundam and the G Generation original unit Zanspine. The animation and unit itself are highlights of the Victory Gundam line; Zanspine is an original unit from the series, with lore connected to Victory Gundam data. Its design is not a typical Gundam, but as the second limited unit, it has generated a lot of discussion.

The UR is Gottrlatan, the big wheel unit piloted by Katejina. Although it is not limited, its animation is quite distinctive. The limited warship is Robert Gomez & Reinforce Jr. Its tags have not been fully revealed, but it is speculated to be related to the new “Heavy Hitter” tag.

This update also adds the new tag “Heavy Hitter.” According to the community’s initial list, it includes Burning Gundam, Barbatos Lupus Rex, Force Impulse, Gundam X, Qubeley, EZ8, Double Zeta, and others. This tag becomes an important direction for team building and Master League over the next six months. However, there aren’t many top-tier units in the first wave, so actual strength will only be clear after the September 30 balance adjustments and implementation.

 

Rerun Banner: Burning Gundam, Hi-Nu, Lupus Rex, Ace Supporter

For this 1.5th anniversary, not only is there a new banner, but a rerun banner is also running at the same time. The rerun includes Burning Gundam, Hi-Nu Gundam, Barbatos Lupus Rex, and Ace unit supporter lineup. For those who missed these powerful limited units, this banner is very attractive.

The key point: the exchange Pt is shared between the new banner and the rerun banner. In other words, you can pull on the new banner to accumulate Pt and then exchange it for old limited units or the Ace Unit supporter from the rerun banner; conversely, pulling on the rerun banner lets you use Pt to exchange for V2 Assault Buster Gundam or Zanspine from the new banner. This design makes pulling planning more flexible, but remember: the exchange shop usually has a deadline. It’s best to use your Pt before the event ends, not let it expire.

 

Main Story and Story Events

The upcoming story and participating works are roughly as follows:

• September 30: Main story for Mobile Suit Victory Gundam added, along with the 1.5th anniversary featured banner.
• October 16–31: Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Rise from the Ashes. This event emphasizes mass-produced unit usage; you can’t just brute-force it with limited units.
• Mid-to-late November: Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit.
• Late November to early December: Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link.

In addition, the stream also showed a list of future participating works, including some theatrical films and new directions, but the official team clearly stated that not all of them will appear in the next quarter; it is a preview. A banner slot is also left open in the first half of November. The community speculates it could be the 00 movie or an inserted UR, but this is not confirmed.

 

Event Schedule

The events announced in the stream are quite dense:

• This winter: Suppression Battle officially arrives; speculated to be a permanent mode where you deploy many units, updated by season.

 

System Updates and Optimizations

This update includes many things veteran players have waited a long time for:

• When skipping Hard stages, there is a low chance to trigger “Great Success” and obtain SSR ULT unit development materials.

• Research tech Journals drop rates adjusted to avoid constantly dropping types you already have too many of; Journalss you lack will be easier to obtain.

• ULT unit modification: starting October 16, you can increase stats, adjust weapons, and even unlock a choice of three unit skills; first batch of six. Whether ULT units can return to the battlefield is worth watching.

• Profile major update: view sortie count, SP count, Haro trophies, leaderboards, and sharing features.
• Eternal Pass / Pass II update; in Japan, you can watch Victory Gundam anime, side-story manga, and magazines. There is also a free first-volume manga reading campaign, but most are Japanese originals, and overseas players should note regional restrictions.
• New products include discounted diamond packs, WebStore-exclusive ticket bundles, a point system, Music Pack Vol. 6, etc. Please spend within your means.

 

Gameplay Advice

1. New and returning players: this version is great for starting. First collect all stream diamonds, login rewards, panel missions, and special stage rewards. Use all 47 free pulls for at least two URs, then decide whether to invest in the 1.5 limited banner.
2. Decide based on need, not just the new banner. If you lack the Ace Unit supporter, Burning Gundam, Hi-Nu, or Lupus Rex, consider the rerun banner; if you want V2 Assault Buster Gundam or Zanspine, pull on the new banner. Since Pt is shared between both banners, ideally pull first and then use the exchange shop to fill in your targets. Remember to spend Pt before the event ends.
3. Keep an eye on the Heavy Hitter tag, but don’t go all in immediately. It is likely to be a mainstream tag over the next six months, but first-wave strength is still uncertain. If resources are limited, wait for the September 30 balance adjustments and real-combat reviews.
4. Stock up on materials before ULT modification. After October 16, ULT modification opens, and skipping Hard stages may also drop ULT materials. If you already build ULT units, you can farm materials in advance; among the first six, prioritize units with better community reviews.
5. Start preparing mass-produced units and multiple teams. Rise from the Ashes, Suppression Battle, and Grand Offensive all tend to require many units. Don’t only build one main team; invest at least somewhat in mass-produced units, support units, and teams with different tags.
6. Stock up on SSP materials first. You can complete missions and collect chips now, then invest when stronger units are added later.
