Dec 23 Units Roadmap Livestream Recap - SD G Eternal

On 23 December, the development team of SD Gundam G Generation Eternal unveiled its update roadmap for the coming period via a livestream. The announcement covered a wide range of upcoming content, including the rollout schedule for main story stages and events, previews of new mobile suits and characters, as well as several major updates.

New UR Units and Rerunning Units

To further strengthen the overall combat progression system, the developers have confirmed that a New Year Up banner will go live on December 31. This banner will feature multiple high-spec UR units, including the newly introduced:

• UR Gundam Calibarn (Final Battle) EX
• UR Destiny Gundam EX
• UR character Suletta Mercury
• UR character Shinn Asuka

At the same time, to accommodate players who missed them previously:

• Strike Freedom Gundam EX and its exclusive support character Lacus Clyne (Eternal) will rerun for the first time.
• In addition, a new UR support character, Talia Gladys & Minerva, will be introduced alongside the banner.

 

New SEED DESTINY Series SSR Units

The lineup will also include several brand-new SEED DESTINY–series SSR units as well as the UR character Minerva. Overall, the banner composition is clearly geared toward high-end team building and offers strong long-term investment value.

 

Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket

The story event will officially open on 24 December. This event centres on combat taking place in the Pocket Area. During the event period, multiple new development units and playable characters will be added.

Event Mechanics Overview

This event features special content that introduces a unique event mechanic. During boss battles, additional enemy units known as “Dummy Balloons” will appear, featuring two designs: Santa Claus and Snowman.

Successfully defeating these Dummy Balloons grants extra in-game medal rewards, with significantly higher efficiency compared to standard breaking rules. This makes them a key farming target throughout the event. Detailed mechanics and drop rules will be officially explained in the 24 December announcement.

 

The Witch from Mercury Part 2

The second part of the main story is scheduled to be added on 31 December 2025, New Year’s Eve. For players who have time during the year-end and New Year holiday period, this will be an ideal opportunity to experience the complete storyline in one go.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY Part 2

Scheduled to be added alongside the second half of The Witch from Mercury on 31 December 2025. This update will complete the main storyline of SEED DESTINY.

Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO

The event is scheduled to launch in mid to late January 2026. Since nearly all units from this title have already been deployed, this update will focus on obtainable units rather than developable ones.

Because many of the featured mobile suits have already been added to the game, the developers plan to make some adjustments to the event’s gameplay, though specific details have not yet been disclosed.

After War Gundam X Part 2

This update is scheduled for late January to early February 2026 and is expected to take place around the Moon. It will introduce a structural adjustment to the development tree for the Gundam X series.

Gundam X Divider will be repositioned as the final node in the development path, resulting in changes to the overall development order. The developers have specifically advised players not to invest heavily in developing the Divider in advance of this adjustment to avoid unnecessary resource waste.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X ASTRAY

Scheduled for mid to late February 2026, this event is planned with the assumption that both pilots for each mobile suit team will be deployed, serving as a supplementary roster expansion. The event will further broaden the side-story lineup of the SEED series.

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE (Flit & Asemu)

Scheduled for late February to early March 2026, this update will initially introduce the Flit and Asemu. The third generation (Kio Asuno) will be added in a later update, making this a phased expansion of the main storyline.

Scheduled for mid to late March 2026, this event will be introduced during the deployment phase. It will focus on ground combat and squad-based operations as its core gameplay features.
